Really unique interesting wine. Its nice to see an exception to the dominating Bordeaux style. Try their port wine. Its rich and flavor and bold and just a really quality wine for a great price

This winery is a hidden gem. The French wines are the best in N.C. by far. We found this place just 10 min from our house in Winston and couldn’t have had a better experience. The tasting was great and the owner was fantastic. Go here if you like dry wine!

French wines that are unusual in the area. Dry wines, not sweet but very complex and delicious. Im usually a fan of sweeter wines and I still like their stuff. The owner and tasting room manager are really well informed and are great with everyone from the most educated wine afficinato to a newbie. The setting and space are lovely and its a great place to kick back any time of year. Tasting prices are comparable to the rest of the area, bottles can get a bit pricy.

Ive been skipping about NC wineries for about 15 years now, and have visited over 80 wineries in the state. If you like dry varietals, this is one of the best we have. If you like french wines, it is the best. Red, white... both are solid and tasty. They do have a few with a bit of sweetness, but probably not what you think of when you think of sweet wine. They are french styled, so the reds are often a bit lighter in body, dont seem to be oaked so much, and a few are even best served chilled. They also open up very nicely, so give some time in the glass and sip slowly. The whites are well balanced and quite flavorful, with the rousanne being an uncommon gem in the region. Good for the white drinker, but also amenable to the red folks.Bring some light cheese, crackers, meats and it makes for a wonderful afternoon.

We love this vineyard! Michael has done a great job with these Rhone valley varietals!! Our favorite time is on Sundays when its nice out. We go with cheese and crackers and do a tasting, them have a bottle of wine and enjoy the view! Oh, and Lindsay will sit really pretty and wait on you to feed her. She doesnt like rice crackers though, shell sit them out! RIP sweet Bacchus

One of our favorites! Estate grown French grapes used to produce wonderful dry wines. Also the owner has the best conversations, we love spending the afternoon here chatting with him.

We love this place! We come from the PNW so we like good dry wine- this is one of the first vineyards weve found in NC that actually makes really good dry wines. We love the owner and all the people that do the wine tastings are extremely friendly. Weve been there twice- the first time we did the complete wine tasting and love that glasses we got to keep (way better than usual wine tasting glasses) and then we came back and brought friends and sat at a table and drank wine and ate snacks. They have live music sometimes. Will definitely be returning!

I loved the wine and the vineyard. The owner is not a jerk, just does business his way, which was not unreasonable. We struck up conversation with all of them and found them all to be gracious hosts. The wine prices are similar to all of the vineyards in the area. The tasting was worth the price. Not the cheaper Muscadine varieties here. Spend some time here, take a picnic basket and relax.

This vineyard has amazing wine. None of it is sweet. I love coming here to sit in the open tasting room and just enjoy a glass of wine and the people around me. Generally I can strike up a conversation with whoever is there.

Ok wine, the tasting was over priced and the bottle of Metro Red we got was vinegary when we got home to drink it. The owner is a straight up dou*# that thinks he knows better than anyone and terrible attitude.Although the lady that did the tasting presentation was sweet and carrying, overall i would NOT recommend this place, but thats my opinion.Note: the small glass of wine looks better than the large large cup that is $10-12 (small glass was 7)

Beautiful place but the owner was unkind. Extremely condescending to my fiancé, and rude at times. The woman who served us the tastings was sweet. Their wine is alright - we bought a bottle of the Mertro Red but it tasted differently when we took it home.
