I made a reservation at winery 32 with a couple of friends and all I can say is there is definitely room for improvement. Upon arrival we were greeted by less than friendly staff who immediately jumped into the rules we must follow. Being in the midst of a pandemic I fully expected the guidelines of mask wearing and changes to the venue to be reviewed. Instead they went further to explain the each person was required to order at least one bottle of wine or 1 flight each. Being responsible adults, we stated that we had one designated driver with us so they would not be able to get a bottle of wine. They promptly responded with that they would have to get a bottle to take home because we must meet the “minimum purchase”. It is extremely disgusting to see that they don’t respect that a party would come with a designated driver. The mannerism of the staff must improve for this to be a successful establishment in the future. It is disappointing to leave a place feeling like an unappreciative customer. Simply put the view was beautiful but staff was rude and condescending. I hope to be able to try winery 32 again in the future when customer service improves and the staff give us the time of day.
Great atmosphere. Tried a red flight: cab sav, cab franc, petit verdot. Red wine was very, very dry and they all tasted incredibly similar to one another. Would not get these reds again. Ordered tacos, a pork arepa, and chickpeas with butternut squash. Chickpea dish was fire. They dont treat designated drivers well as you have to pay for water and oddly, there is a minimum amount each person must pay.
I was the designated driver and even though I paid for a food dish and a bottle of water, they tried to require me to also purchase $15 worth of wine—their 2 pages of rules say every person must buy a flight or a bottle. The waiter was fine to let it slide but then the manager came over and gave us a hard time about it. I’ve been to a lot of vineyards and never experienced the business basically forcing drinking and driving.
I wish I would have read reviews more carefully. I agree with Ella, that you would think good wine would sell itself, but apparently they have to force you to buy it. I came with my pregnant wife and they said that she had to buy a bottle as well! Really? My wife and I travel to breweries and wineries a lot and have NEVER run into that. Also...during covid times you would think everyone would be masked. But the chef...yes the chef who was cooking all of the food was unmasked the entire time while he was making the food. Didnt seem like the best idea. We will not return.
I am appalled. I should have listened to the recent reviews. Crooks! I think there were more pages of “rules” than for a car loan! And to force the designated driver to purchase a bottle of wine? Shameful! Very telling that none of these concerns have been addressed with responses.... Potential patrons beware.
I’m not one to write reviews, however, this winery was a major disappointment to our weekend romantic wine tour. I’d like to start by saying the restaurant gives your two pages of instructions and you should read carefully before entering. Every person that sits down needs to buy either a flight or bottle of wine. My husband the designated driver was basically forced to buy a bottle of wine because he was sitting with me. I found this a bit outrageous. If their wine was stellar it would sell itself, but clearly it unanimously falls short.
Had a very nice tasting outside. Enjoyed the wine and the scenery.
We got married here nearly 3 years ago after stumbling upon the winery a few months prior. we ended up becoming members and got to know the owners, who are super friendly. we love going there still and always feel like we are “home.”
Boyfriend and I got off work early on a Friday and decided to do a last minute winery trip. I chose Winery 32 because they happened to have live music that night and it looked to be a cute place to spend the afternoon. The tasting was customizable and was very inexpensive compared to others in the area, and the deck was a perfect place to take in the gorgeous scenery. The wines favor on the sweet side (which I live for, so I was in heaven) and the staff were very polite and personable. I definitely recommend the trip to this adorable winery, if only for the views.
This was such a wonderful experience. We are from out of town, here for a wedding. We wanted to burn some time by visiting one of the local wineries. Winery 32 had great reviews, so we decided to check it out. Problem was, I didnt read the actual website and we didnt know they only serve food on Saturday and Sunday. We had not eaten all day and it was 2pm by the time we got there, only to find out they werent serving food. We went ahead and did a wine tasting and bought a couple bottles then the host came out to tell us the chef was able to make a few of the items from the menu, for us, right then. It was so amazing that they made an exception for us to eat. I even got to try the ravioli Id seen on another review and it was amazing- perfect in every way. Thank you Winery 32! Im excited to gift one of the Rose bottles to my mom, as well!
Great wines (red, white, and sangria), amazing food, incredible views. Perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. Thank you Marlene for the top notch service! Lots of options, you wont be disappointed. Owners are a chef/biochemist couple who clearly know what theyre doing. Place is also thoughtful enough to have a basket of crayons & coloring papers for kids. We will be back!
Great little vineyard with quality wines, exceptionally friendly service, and oh my the sangria! Pretty little place that is definitely worth the stop.
We had our wedding reception at Winery 32 in May 2018 (celebrating our one year anniversary today). Winery 32 staff worked with the staff at Roots 657 catering staff nearby and the reception was a big hit with the guests. My only complaint was that it rained but still everyone had a great time!My suggestion for couples looking for a wedding/reception site is to book at Winery 32. Roxanne and Michael are great to work with and work with you to make sure your special day is memorable! Also a no frills vineyard with great wines. Try the peach sangria!
Very nice tasting room and a great selection of wines. Knowledgeable wine educators, too. Although we did not order food, it smelled great. Definitely worth a visit.
What an amazing place to visit!! Everyone is super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive!! We’ve already planned our next visit for my birthday!! The owners are absolutely gracious with their time also. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wait until you see their mini vinegar casks!! Highly recommend!!!!
Wonderful place. Beautiful views, great food (owner chef) and only $8 plus great wine. Great place to spend a weekend. They are pet friendly on their property just not the tasting room (law). Staff is helpful and will try their best to answer all your questions. Highly suggest this place to stop on your tour and add extra time too so you can enjoy the views
Very good selection of wine and food and amazing view!
Property was gorgeous food was awful. The cognac was nice and the Petite Verdot was nice, everything else was awful
Really nice place!
Great wine and food. Wine was pretty typical of Virginia wine (which is not a bad thing). Food was also really good. Overall a great place to have lunch, relax with some good wine, and enjoy a nice view of the country side and pond.
Gorgeous views, wonderful food, delicious wines, and very friendly staff! I cannot drink red wine, and was pleased to find I was still able to enjoy the tasting. My only qualm was there were no lounge style chairs. We could habe spent hours there and cant wait to go back soon!
I am here as we speak and the owner said hey I want to go home this is a 0 Star Place... As a owner they should want to stay and get business instead at 4pm they told us “ we close at 5” I mean it’s rediculious. Then the husbands owner even offered to take us to a different winery. Why would I get in a car with a stranger?
Owners of winery= rude. Don’t waste your money!
Beautiful new winery with a beautiful view to match. Winery 32 is a nice surprise to come across because of how charming it is. They have a wonderful story to share about the name, the trees, and even the wine labels themselves. If you have time, stay for a meal as the owner is also a chef! They have a small menu but everything that we tried was tasty. One thing to note for Wine Aficionados is that last time I went they were not yet using their own grapes. I look forward to seeing what they come up with once they are though!
Like the wines, Highly Recommend it!
Great customer service and wine knowledge. Selections were limited.
Great sangria! A wide variety of wines to taste and the winery serves lunch.
The absolute best peach wine I have ever tasted!! Delicious food and beautiful views. Winery 32 is a must see, must taste place!!
Horrible customers service, if your group is too big they wont let let you sample. And the girl behind the counter had a snooty attitude. I do not recommend for groups.
Amazing place, amazing view, amazing food, amazing wine and, over all, a family environment.
I recently did an engagement party here and it went super well. Roxanne really helped to make sure that it was a complete surprise and had the party room all ready to go for us and everything. The views and service were absolutely gorgeous and I honestly could not have asked for a better venue to pop the question. Super friendly and responsive to all requests. Even though they were super busy during our party I did not feel like we were rushing them at all or vice versa. The wine was also delicious and everyone who came out to celebrate enjoyed. I particularly enjoy the Cabarnet Sauvigon and Glorias Sunshine.Could not have asked for better hosts and help! Thanks a lot!
Nice staff and nice tasting room, but I was not a fan of any of the wine.
Wine was rough! There were some kids there when we went. Place feels unfortunately antiseptic. Food served on paper plates with plastic utensils.Only reason not 1/5 is the server was kind. Not trying to be mean, but I recommend management make some changes.
This winery was a stop offered by Leesburg resort and spa for an additional $60..(truly over priced), this was the worst place to go. Not a great experience as far as wine tasting, touring, nor learning about how wines are made. Its an overpriced tour, I recommend the Linanore winery instead and tasting are included and the price is half the cost of Leesburg. I had an awesome time in Mt. Airy MD.
New winery in Leesburg!Came here for Sunday wine tasting and really enjoyed the beautiful views and location. We met one of the owners who was nice and informative about the winery and her plans (wine clubs, events, etc.). They have not used the grapes on property, but believe that they will be able to start making wine with vineyard grapes this year. The Koi white wine was not to my liking, but others in the group enjoyed this one. The cabernet franc was delicious. The peach wine was definitely interesting and had a surprising and refreshing taste. Will definitely be back and am looking forward to attending events here. I cant imagine how gorgeous it will be here when the weather gets a little cooler.
Spent the day drinking their wine and eating their food everything was excellent beautiful views great place to spend the day have a wedding or any celebration and very close to leesburg and ashburn areas,
Awesome view, great wine and very good food
Great views
