My husband and I toured at least 7 other wineries in the Northern Virginia region and Stone Tower Winery was able to offer, by far, the best experience. While most of the other wineries came across more as a winery that also decided they could host weddings, Stone Tower was BUILT with hosting weddings in mind. Specifically, one of the things most important to me was that the Plan B ceremony site (if it rained) was something Id be happy with. Ive been to other weddings where, if it werent for the rain, the ceremony would have been lovely, but because of weather, everyone was squeezed into an ugly tent. This was 100% not the case with Stone Tower, you would almost be pressed to find a location on the property (inside or outside) that wasnt stunning. Additionally, Stone Tower has a fully time staff dedicated to weddings (many of the other wineries had someone who was General Manager/Wedding Planner), and the level of service reflected that dedication. Even all the vendors we worked with had nothing but great things to say about the venue (mostly about how they run a tight ship or function like a well oiled machine). While Stone Tower was slightly pricier then some of the other local wineries, the value saved in things like decorations (its so stunning as is), furniture rentals (they have a TON of stunning furniture on site included in the package), and service (their coordination with all our other vendors made the day an easy success) made their value beyond worth it. Our guests have nothing short of gushed at how beautiful the site is and how much they enjoyed the wedding. I would highly recommend the Stone Tower location and team to any couple looking for a stunning winery venue (rain or shine) for their day.
We attended a small wedding ceremony and reception here recently during the 2020 pandemic. I have to say that Stone Tower Winery handled it as great as they possibly could, and then some! The staff was fantastic and helpful (they wore masks at all times and made sure we felt safe), the wines were divine, and of course who can forget the breathtaking views? It was an enjoyable experience overall. We also had a little technical difficulty trying to get a video to play from the TVs, which the staff did everything in their power to successfully make it work for us. Without a doubt, this had to be one of the most pleasant and wonderful wedding venues even considering the circumstances.
Yesterday we had the distinct pleasure of attending a tasting with Joe as our host. The wine was delicious ( goes without saying) but Joe’s knowledge and delivery were above and beyond. Our party not only laughed a lot but left with knowledge about wine that we will use to impress our friends. Thanks ST for giving us some fun, beauty and wonderful wine to distract us from these trying times.
Visited friday labor day weekend. Looks like they r treating customers better. They have the tower for members and the barn area for walkins and reserved seats. Both areas have good vineyard views. Choice of wine bottles and wine tasting kits. Food is mainly barbecue. Should have more choices for vegans/vegetarians. Access road to winery is gravel and hard on ur vehicle.
Stone Tower Winery is true gorgeous and a must visit. After arriving incredibly late, due to a road accident, we were still welcomed for our wine tasting reservation. The tasting was great and the specialist knowledge about the wine and land but also very nice and helpful. This was a nice staycation and we’ll be back soon.
Beautiful! Had a great experience here with some girlfriends for a weekend away. The truffle and wild mushroom pizza was legit amazing and the Moroccan spices hummus was delish. Our server Joe was super knowledgeable and made some great recommendations for us. He knew the wines like the back of his hand, took the time to learn what we liked and wasn’t afraid to share his honest opinions. Thank you!
Wine is good, views are great, but do not have a birthday here and try to bring a birthday cake. Even though I have celiac and had a gluten free cake, this was not allowed. They assured me they had desserts. There were none I could’ve eaten. Maybe I’m being a whiner, but seriously, birthday and special occasion cakes should be allowed.
Enjoyed our visit today. I really enjoyed their Chardonnay and Sparkling Brut Rose. Winners! Oh and the BBQ is pretty good too. Be sure to try the braised collard greens.
Called ahead to see if we needed reservations. I was told over the phone we would be good to go as walk-ins since there was only two of us. We arrived no less the. 10 min later only to be turned away and were told there wasn’t any room for us. Very disappointed in their poor customer service and overall lack of foresight.
Recommend the pizza! They handled the COVID restrictions very well . Staff was very helpful but our server was a bit over worked due to a wedding being hosted that day. It caused the food to come out slower than youd prefer but not bad for juggling all the changes.
Staff was nice, attentive, a helpful; without being overbearing. Wine is good and well priced. View is amazing! Must visit if you are in NoVa
Lovely winery with great wines. However, in the covid-19 set up they are scamming and cheating people. You can get a flight of 4 small bottles for 40 dollars. Each bottle distinctly say 187 ml. This would equal a bottle of wine. However, the bottles contain only 120ml. This equals a half a bottle of wine. Beware of the scam.
This is by far the nicest winery I have ever been to. Beautiful setting along the backdrop of nice rolling hills. Wine is expensive but very good. They used to have food trucks come out but have recently gotten rid of them. Bring back the food trucks!
Stone Tower is a beautiful winery. Before COVID they had great service, but since going this past weekend I haven’t experienced worst service during these times. You are not allowed to get up and mingle outside. They did not answer the phone when trying to order food. Overall very poor experience which is sad because it was one of my favorite wineries.
We visited during a COVID phase and was very impressed with their health and safety procedures. Masks are required to enter and all servers are masked as well. We could remove our masks to eat of course. We would just put them on when our server would return. We had pizza and salad along with the self- serve wine tasting and warm cookies for dessert. It was a beautiful day. Not crowded. Socially distanced tables and a very pleasant staff. Very enjoyable. Will return soon.
The ribs were great lots of flavor and tender. My only complaint is the cumin based bbq sauce. (At least it’s wasn’t on the ribs)
The wine is excellent! Delicious pizza in the best NY style. the antipasto is the best Ive ever had! good atmosphere
Wine.. great. BBQ.. not. WAY overpriced and not good at all. Ribs are dry, brisket’s dry, pulled pork had fat everywhere, expensive and overall not impressed. That was in the walk-ins building. The last couple of times, we were able to sit in the other building but all the sudden today, it was “members only” where they serve much better food, much better views and you’re treated so much better as a member apparently. Very disappointed.
I presume this farm industry is a traditional and/or of historical values reflecting good standard of brewing. It is too commercialized for marketing purposes. The prices are extra ordinarily high comparing to wine prices in the nation with imports from France, Italaly, German, Spain, Australian and most of all Chile, S America. One will have no reason to travel 55 miles to taste a glass of wine for +$100.00, thus included, driving time, gas and other costs.Nevertheless, the wine I tried is of high quality.I commend the brewe-master for blending a balanced Pino Noir of formidable taste.
We attended a company outing at the winery. The winery staff were superb hosts and we had a wonderful time. The food and, of course, the wine were wonderful.
Pros: Beautiful scenery and great wine!Cons: Extreme heat during the summer, confine seating area, price does not match quality of food, napkins are not provided unless asked.Suggestion: Mist fans, provide plastic cutlery and paper plates.Summary: Overall, the experience is worth it. I understand we are currently facing COVID-19; but a little customer service can go a long way.
Wow...very nice place. The perfect weather was just a bonus.
Great wine. Great scenery. Great service. Thanks, Chanel!
Beautiful view and decent wine (not the best). Came here on a date. A little crowded but good for groups if you come early enough to get your table. Pets were allowed. Nice atmosphere overall.
Great place! Wine was fantastic and the staff and view was incredible! Really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend!
Fantastic to work with through COVID for a wedding. Margot and Lauren were great, and well be coming back often!
I would give this winery 5 stars, but the lack of trees for shades Im forced to give only 4. So Im reluctant to come to this place during hot days.I would give 5 stars for the interior and outside seating area though, but again lack of shades. The food is pricey, but the wine is good price. The cellar is great. See my pictures
First off they kept us waiting with another guest I had for our party. We called ahead several weeks before. When I got there they told us we couldn’t even come in because we had a party of more than 6...we asked if we could break up the party with 3 tables of 6 and they said no...such a disgrace and they declined to accommodate everyone.
The wines are REALLY good, but super expensive. Went for a wedding and it was absolutely beautiful--venue, food, wine were all spectacular.
A picturesque place to get away from it all. We enjoyed fine wine and delicious food.
Great wines, great space and beautiful views. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and not just rush you through tasting. Lots of space to enjoy different ambiances, relaxed, music, tasting room.
Winery set among rolling green hiils and makes for a fantastic way to spend a lazy afternoon. One side has a large outdoor space with a tasting room and shop and is kid-friendly. The other building is 21+ only and also has a tasting room and shop. There was a pizza food truck also when we went. All areas are pet-friendly which is awesome. Its gets really busy so come early with your own food/snacks. White and rose wines are great but the reds are average. Polite staff.
I visited for the first time on Feb. 14, 2020 for a wine tasting and it was SUPERIOR!!! The location, the view, the grounds, and definitely the wine was amazing! It was easy to find. The ambiance was friendly, warm and inviting. My hostess was Elizabeth and she was simply FANTASTIC. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines.i left with a great bottle of Chardonnay 2017. I will most definitely be returning! happy sipping
They are unprofessional in term of take care of client, they have 3 bathroom for many many people, I wait around 15 minutes to use the bathroom. The food line is insane, plus you can stay only 2 hours in the tables, I was Looking for a place to hangout with my girlfriends, we didn’t enjoy because we spend almost of the time in the lines to get food or bathroom .
Stone winery is a fantastic place with awesome people and awesome views. The standard wine tasting is 20 per person and you taste about 7 different wines (3 whites, 4 reds). There are several places to do the standard tasting, but my group chose to go upstairs in the tower. Its a little quieter up there so its easier to communicate with everyone. Ended up buying a bottle of the 2018 Wild Boar Chardonnay for $28. Their pepperoni and roasted garlic pizza is amazing! It was so good that we had to buy another one. Their best wine to me is the 2016 Wild Boar Sanglier Noble. Check out the pictures I have posted about my experience. Please go to this winery! Im going back
Had the BEST time ever with my boyfriend on this trip. The pictures will not do this place justice. We took the Vineyard Wine tour and our tour guide (Dianne was her name I believe) was just perfect! The views are incredible, the wine was amazing, and the staff was absolutely magnificent! Without a doubt the best trip Ive taken in a long time! Ill be back very soon.
Loved this winery for so many reasons. Two separate places for wine tasting, one with children under 21 other was adults only. Both has plenty of seating options inside and outside. Large portions for tasting and the wines are excellent both red & white. They even have 3 different bubbly wines very well done.Ask for Stacy she was extremely personable and very informative in the over 21 tasting room. Beautiful setting and structures.
They are using COVID-19 safety protocol to rip people off. I’m all for safety and appreciate the right safety measurements but they are taking advantage of it, and creating a very unpleasant experience for their guests. This weekend we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, group of 10, they said we can’t be more than 6 people in each table, very understandable and we said we sit two separate table, but they said “no you can’t do that either!! “They offered us special section for 10 people like VIP section away from others but we had to spend minimum of $500. We agreed and went to special section. Up to this point wasn’t too bad and understandable, even they didn’t give us the table we asked in that section with better view, they said it was reserved and no one ever showed up. Still ok still I was trying to understand the situation but after two hours they came and said you have 10 more minute to stay. Apparently you can’t occupy the table more than two hours even in VIP section. That was ridiculous, no one was waiting for the table most the table were empty and yet they were pushing us to shove 500 dollars worth of food and wine in our throat less than 2 hrs. They made us to return some of the food because our time was up didn’t let us finish our food. We had to go restaurant to eat that day!!!I’ve never seen or heard anything that crazy before. It was very disappointing, those non sense rule has nothing to do with safety protocols it was just a new way to take advantage of people.
The food is absolutely delicious, the mushroom pizza, bbq wings, mustard coleslaw and collard greens were absolutely exceptional. We reserved a Pavillion since there were 8ppl in our party. The scenery was breathtaking and for a moment I forgot I was in Northern Virginia.
One of the better chill area. We went on the weekend. With good weather and a drink you can sit and relax. You can bring in your own snacks etc. It is split into two section. One area is more family and the other tasting area is 21 and up. Great area for photos they have many props and the landscape is taken well care of.
In the time of COVID-19 and social distancing (and tight finances!), we were still committed to buying Virginia wine. For only a $5 delivery fee, Stone Tower winery delivered a wonderful bottle of wine for our Easter dinner even though we lived over 30 minutes away. Great staff and service, too. ️️
Nice atmosphere. Food is pretty good. A little expensive considering,
So I understand the 2 hour window for reservations. I get that the tables need to be turned over for those who are waiting. But when there are empty tables and they are asking us to leave? We were 2 groups of parents celebrating 21st birthdays of our kids. We could have gone anywhere. I actually went back through the check in and booked another 2 hour slot, was given a number, and moved to the new spot...only to have a manager come by and tell us to leave. Dont really understand the business thinking behind this, but I do know I will not be coming back. Embarrassing to say the least. 6 people had a total of 2 bottles of wine in a 2 hour period by the way. And maybe 50% capacity at most. Terrible experience. Very unprofessional. Avoid this place
What a spectacular delight in Leesburg, VA. Everything is letter perfect and the staff go above and beyond to make sure that you are pleased. You can enjoy the site of a wonderful wedding from the balcony while families are enjoying their memories.
Gorgeous vineyard. For the area I dont know that you can beat it. The separated tasting rooms are so clutch... adults only in the rear tasting room We tried at least 6 of the wines and they were all good... though of course some better than others. Friendly staff: even the gelato cart. Food trucks around as well as a wood fire pizza grill. Even though it was busy they have a lot of space. At its busiest it was still just crowded but never got overwhelming. Average glass runs little under $10 or the avg bottle was just under $40. Would definitely go back. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful views, half decent wine, but the absolute WORST customer service myself and some friends have ever experienced. This place claims they pride themselves on their customers experience but that’s a complete joke. I left the members only area after a tasting to visit the harvest barn as I had seen on social media a few friends of mine had checked in there. Not long after finding my friends a manager came out to ask if we had made a reservation, which we hadn’t. We were told if our group got any larger they would ask us to separate or leave the vineyard. Well low and behold not long after that did I run into some old family friends and start carrying on a conversation. At this point in time a different manager approached us and asked us to leave. My mind was completely blown as was all of my friends. The employees tone and hostility towards us was unnecessary and caught us off guard. Evidently we had become a gathering of more than 9 and failed to make a reservation. To anyone that might be interested in visiting Stone Tower I caution you. Make certain you don’t run into other groups of friends and are asked to leave. This establishment couldn’t have worst customer service and has lost several members and regular patrons due to their actions last weekend.
They have a 2 hour time slot due to Covid which is understandable for wanting to turnover tables & to clean. However, when we were there with another couple & our daughters to celebrate them recently turning 21, we were approached at 3:50 by a young girl & told we had 10 minutes before our time slot ended. Since the seating area was at maybe 50% capacity with no line waiting at all, we asked if we could stay a bit longer. The response was, “If you decide to stay the next person that will come over is a man that’s not as nice as me & he will ask you to leave. Cheers!” Then she walked away. No offer to cork & bag the unfinished wine or thank you for visiting. The couple we were with had our table time slot in their name so my husband went to check in & asked for a table in his name. He was given one & was escorted to our new table & we moved. Within 5 minutes a young arrogant kid came over & told us we had to leave saying re-booking was not allowed & cited that’s usually a sign that a group is drinking too much & they have had to call EMTs for those groups. Seriously? At what point does common sense & observation come into play? I was the DD & wasn’t drinking at all, my husband & the couple with us had not even finished 2 bottles of wine & our daughters had only finished 2 of the 4 minis in the sampler flight in 2 hours. We were clearly not over indulging. Don’t waste your time or money here ($42/bottle). Very brash indignant customer service served up by kids in their early 20s with major attitudes.
One of the best in the area. Great ambiance and even better wine.
Absolutely fantastic!! Beautiful rolling hills, like a painting. All adults!!
Called last Saturday to make a reservation for birthday celebration for this afternoon 09/12/20 at 4:30pm. Arrived at 4:25pm only to be told they were no longer seating. After we stated we had a reservation, they did not honor the reservation. What’s the point of a reservation if you’re not going to honor it? I did reach out to them via Facebook messenger, they read the message but did not respond.
We love coming to Stone Tower! Views are epic, wines are delicious and the atmosphere is divine. Last time we went there was also wood fire pizza. Theres also a separate area for kids/families which is awesome.
Great location of vineyard, place to unwind. Tasting room, food truck, marketplace and ambience for weekend trip. Local wines yet to hit their shelves.
Really enjoyed this winery. Great location with amazing views of the vineyard and surrounding area. Plenty of indoor or outdoor seating to choose from including a balcony over looking the area. It was very busy but we still had no problem finding a comfortable place to sit with a view. The wine tasting was very fun & we had a very personable server who was very knowledgeable in the different wines offered. We found several wines we liked so much we purchased a few bottles to take home. There is fresh wood fired pizza available to order and it was VERY good, so good we ate our first order and then ordered again to take two pies home. It would be nice if their hours were extended to a little later in the evenings during the peak season. Definitely one of the nicest wineries in the area.
We are members. During Covid, get a reservation. Social distancing is good, winery being careful and thoughtful. Wine and food both good, be prepared to be outside.
I have had many a memorable experience here... talking for hours... or enjoying a private event with friends. I liked it so much I decided to become a member. Something I have not done in a few years... so excited to get back to it. Today was a quiet reflective Sunday. Just by myself. Which this place is also perfect for. The place was filled with small and large groups of friends and family catching up. The bar staff phenomenal at recommending red. Life is good.
One of our favorite wineries! Great wine, a likely over priced but good, but stunning views and atmosphere. We are members and love it
Beautiful scenery friendly Stafff would come back definitely thank you for a wonderful time
What an amazing place! They are so consistent with the quality of wine and their customer service. I first came here last year to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday and they were wonderful to us! I came back with my work and got the behind the scenes tour. What a cool experience! Now I’m a wine club member and can’t wait to attend some events and tastings. Service is great, the views are amazing and the wines never disappoint! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out!
Joe is the best server. Their Chardonnay is amazing!!!
My family band I went to Stone Tower the end of June for my daughters 24th birthday. I made a reservation for 5 people and my friend made a reservation for the same amount of people. There were a lot of empty tables so we asked the manager if we could sit close to each other so we could be somewhat close. They absolutely denied us from this despite me asking many times why that wasn’t possible. The explanation that we received was that we had to be far from each other due to COVID 19 restrictions in place yet it was ok for us to sit next to people that we didn’t know. Does that make sense?? To make things worse, 5 of us had to sit far enough that we could not even see the other group. The icing on the cake was that the Manager was actually monitoring us to make sure we didn’t visit each other during our limited visit for the day. We stayed 2 hours and left very upset with the attitude from the Manager who decided it was ok to curse in front of my daughters and my wife while he nervously explained the reasons why we couldn’t sit next to each other.I went to Stone Tower consistently in 2019 with my family and pets, but I absolutely will not be back after this experience. I understand the restrictions in place, but I felt as if they thought they were doing us a favor for just being there. There are more than enough great wineries in the close proximity so we will be changing it up a bit from here on.
Pre Corona I have visited this winery several times and enjoyed the scenic setting. But reading the recent bad reviews, I will not be visiting until there are substantial number of good reviews particularly about the way customers are treated.
Great Experience! I would definitely recommend people go for the tour & tasting, its well worth it. The staff were extremely friendly, informative & attentive.
Amazing views, and a beautiful building. Two options: The 21+ side, which is a little more classy; or the family side, which is a little more relaxed and festival-like. Both are good choices, but you can have dogs and your own food on the family side. Downside is that the wine is fairly expensive, but it is good.
Visited with my boyfriend this past Sunday and I have to say that we were both blown away by the atmosphere and scenic views! We took amazing pictures and videos of the landscape, walked freely around the vineyard bottle in hand and glasses to our lips. The wine salesman gave us splashes of wine to taste before we comitted to purchasing. 5 stars for this vineyard! We are already planning our next visit.
Upon arriving at dinner tower the facilities look impressive. Different businesses have food stations setup, there is plenty of parking and dog/kid friendly areas. The wine tasting itself is meh. There were so many people there it is kind of confusing what the flow was supposed to be. When we did get a spot the guides are just looking to move the bodies through so wine was quickly poured with some explanation, but little personal touch. It is also relatively expensive. Not only in wines per tasting, but overall the bottles they have felt very expensive for the quality.Overall the visit was good. If you want to bring your dog and kids to a fun place where you can drink wine this is a good option. If youre looking for a good winery experience there are better options.
This is one of my favourite wineries with great view and amazing wine.
Very beautiful winery reminds me of Sonoma, CA. huge vineyard operations, obviously big bucks behind it. Restaurant on site. Pizza looked good, wood fired... Havent tried the food was just there for wine and beauty of the vine. Apparently, they dont enter their wines in contests so no awards or critics opinions on the tastings. All may be set aside for sale exclusively through their wine club and for tastings on site.
Do not go here!! Go to sunset hills instead, it is close by and they have wayyyy better customer service. This place has pretty bad customer service. We came as a group of 6 and got a table.. our friends happen to also come at a later time and happen to get a table across from us.. we went over to their table with our masks on to wave hello. A kid who claimed to be the “manager” (who looked not older than 22 years) comes over and says sorry if you have a group larger than 6, we cannot accommodate your party. I explained to the “manager” that the other table is a separate group and we are a separate group and we are simply just saying hello and they will remain at their table. The “manager” at that time told us we had to leave and we had 10 mins because we were trying to hang out in a group larger than 6... which is absolutely not the case... we just happen to see our friends so we waved and said hello! Wow!! Mind you we had just gotten 4 bottles of wine and ordered food.. the guy told us we had 10 mins to scarf all the food and wine down and leave. I didn’t understand this. It wasn’t even safe to take all that opened alcohol in the car.. he said “ Virginia is one of the lenient states with open alcohol containers in the car.” To me, this sounds like encouragement of drinking in the car. I can’t believe he suggested we keep open wine bottles in our car and drink there. How can you charge people so much money for food then kick them out because they said hello to their friends ( a lot of people were going to other tables and waving and saying hello.. we were being safe and keeping masks on and waving from a distance).they have folks just standing around and watching people to see if you say hi to other tables so they can kick you out before your 2 hour limit and JAM more people in your place...the tables are very close together. They cramped everyone in their small patio space which isn’t covid safe. These people are money hungry !!! I am so disappointed! These people ruined my friend’s birthday! I will leave bad reviews on every platform till they fix their customer service and their weird rules that do not make any sense. It sounded like discrimination to me with using covid as an excuse. We went over to sunset hills (25 mins away) omg! They were so nice! A night and day difference. Stone tower winery owner if you are reading this, please do something about the bratty teenagers working at your winery that treat customers very unprofessionally and say it’s because of covid restrictions.. it’s terrible! It was my first and last time here. Go to another winery unless you like being treated like a peasant and overpaying.. I hope this business closes down or someone buys them and brings new management.
One of the biggest and best wineries Ive been to in Virginia. Its got the view, wine and beauty with its older and newer onsite buildings.Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
Our daughter had the wedding of her dreams at Stone Tower. 10-13-2018. Lauren our ST venue planner and all the staff on our day of were fabulous. The farmhouse for the girls and cottage for the boys to get ready were awesome. Ballroom spectacular for reception. The amount of breathtaking space you are able to enjoy with venue fee is priceless. Stone Tower Has always been our favorite winery and it now has a special place in our hearts. All our guests now understand why. We are from Maryland so all guests stayed for the weekend and were wowed by all Leesburg and Loudoun have to offer
We recently ordered two shipments of wine to be shipped to our family in PA and OH totaling approximately $300. Out of the 7 bottles ordered, there was one bottle the 2019 Wild Boar Rose that seemed to have gone bad with a vinegar taste and it was clearly not consumable. We reached out to Stone Tower to be helpful - not only to inform them of this but to see if we can obtain another bottle. Unfortunately, Angela was not interested and insinuated that we are at fault. I informed her once the delivery was received, we immediately put the bottle in our wine refrigerator and never had this issue before. Further my family and I who live near the winery have enjoyed Stone Tower for years and have purchased wine before with no issue. We are extremely disappointed and expected simple courtesy to be provided especially from this type of establishment over a $30 bottle of wine.
VERY UPSET with this place. They give very poor service would never recommend coming here! They took forever to help us out. They didn’t give us enough glasses. And they over charged my card with 2 extra wine bottles when I only bought one! The pizza was soo expensive for something I could’ve bought at Walmart and cooked in my oven. Definitely don’t recommend anyone ever coming here. As well roads are so horrible to get into the place. The parking is so disorganized too! Like I said I would not recommend coming to this place horrible management and employees.
Good place to visit friends and enjoy a couple of hours. You can take kids with you. You cant bring your own wine.
Great view, but the worst pizza Ive ever had. Ive never thrown away pizza before, but threw away 2 halves of 2 different pizzas that were bland and/or burnt.
I was going to consider your location for an event but after seeing your policy during the Corona Pandemic on the channel 7 news, I have decided a new location. There was a bailout for business to provide salaries for their employees. you should be a shame trying to force a date for a wedding, a special day,. keeping 25% is awful. The couple deserve a full refund.
By far one of my favorite wineries! The venue is huge (inside and out), wine is amazing, food is great, and the views are breathtaking. They even have an area of the winery that is “family and pet friendly” and a side that is 21+.We will for sure be coming back X10!
Heaven on earth. Amazing place to visit and drink wine. Stunning weddings and amazing staff. A must visiting in Northern VA if you can!
Overall an okay experience. The staff is exceptionally nice. We were told food was not allowed from outside for the 21+ venue. That was not the case. Several people brought in food and enjoyed it in front of staff. We resorted to eating pizza from the menu provided. The group in total ordered 5 pizzas. Every pizza was extremely salty - not enjoyable (and I like salty.)The wine is a bit overpriced. The venue is okay but you will find better options just a short drive away.
Five stars all the way!! The winery and view is beautiful! ️ loved the wines and have visited many times. I can’t say enough about this winery! I truly enjoy the atmosphere and view. It’s just beautiful!
Love the wine and beautiful views to take in! I went on a Saturday and it does get very crowded but its a great place!
Beautiful place!! Good wine!!
I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because this place isn’t quite 5 stars, but it’s better than 4 stars. First off, this winery was extremely crowded. For someone who’s used to smaller, more intimate Loudoun County wineries, this was a bit off-putting. But the wines were fantastic! What’s great is they only sell their wines on premises - no distribution - so these were exclusive! Even the stainless-steel aged Chardonnay was good, and I don’t particularly care for too many whites. The gentleman running the tasting at the upstairs bar was very knowledgeable and friendly, and was very generous with the pours, allowing us to really taste the wines. The winery also offers stone-fired pizzas on weekends. The cheese pizza was very tasty, but it took about 30-45 minutes to get the pizza, due to the sheer number of people ordering. The views from the patio were spectacular, even on a cloudy day. It’s a great venue, but as someone who desires a quieter, more intimate setting, I’ll probably not be back, but not for lack of quality.
Very nice winery to spend an afternoon sipping great wine and enjoying oneself. Lots of area to walk, see the vineyard and soak in the fresh air. Pet friendly and areas for the kids to run around.
Great place great people there new wine maker Mike is a great man
This winery is beautiful!! Every location we were at throughout the day of our wedding was stunning. We got the most beautiful photos because of Stone Towers scenic view. One of our concerns when choosing a venue was the rain plan, which Im glad we took into consideration because it did end up raining on our wedding day. Luckily Stone Tower has amazing ceremony locations in case it rains. Ours was in the tank room where they make the wine (so neat!). The best part of the venue though was the staff. They were so helpful throughout the entire wedding process. Would highly recommend!!!
BEAUTIFUL BUT BOGUS!!!!!!!! Dont consider this place at ALL.I booked their venue for March 22.. 5 days before the wedding the governer ordered a stay at home order and gatherings of no more than 10 people. I got set back. They gave me 2 options, postpone wedding date or cancel. They basically were forcing me to pick a date or to cancel. I did not cancel, i just couldnt have my wedding. From $4,000 deposit that I made, they only returned $2,000. I begged them for a refund because for 3 months my husband has not worked. We are desperate for the money to pay rent. Instead, they offered to get $2,000 in check or $4,000 in a gift card towards their facility. OHH and also, they told me the $2,000 I lost was not going to waste, that it was being used to maintain the facility (a facility I didnt even get the change to use). Although the winery is beautiful, the owners are selfish and careless. They dont have a single emotion of sympathy and its upsetting. They only care about themselves and do not deserve to get business. I am now starting to want to build a case to sue them with my lawyer. I have already told all of my family and friends to stop buying furniture from their furniture shop Belfort and to not visit the Winery. Trust me a bad experience can ruin your reputation, you lost a chunk of business with our family. I hope you can enjoy the $2,000 while it lasts.
Failed to do the right thing and give that couple a full refund for their wedding deposit in May 2020. SHAME ON YOU! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! They lost 3,500 dollars because of a global health pandemic. People should avoid places like yours in the future based on your behavior now. Also wine is over priced.
A very awesome place to visit.
Scenery and staff were great! The wines were just ok, either too acidic or sweet. Very crowded on Saturday.
Beatiful place to spend time and have fun. The landscape is amazing! Great views!
