Ive been to this park for several events and activities. My 7 year old daughter did summer camp 2 years ago. She took a sports class recently. We did a family camp out last year. The park doesnt have a playground but its always been fun for us because we are doing an activity.

We werent sure if it was open or not, but the grounds are great. Small little park with some vegetation facts sprinkled about. Looks to be next to a transport depot, but we accessed it via the trail off of Del Amo Blvd. At 1PM there was no one there but myself and my fiance. Definitely a place Ill go back for future walks and jogs.

Love this place, this visit was Lakewoods family camp. The only way to rough it less would be to stay at a resort. This is not a criticism, if I wanted to rough it, I would have made it to the wilderness. This allowed for a sense of camping, b the t was contained and easy on us parents, allowing us to socialize and enjoy the place that has a large cabin, indoor and outdoor cooking facilities and an approximately one mile nature walk.I really love that Lakewood has this place and residents can rent the place for a reasonable price as well as the activities that go on here.

This is a small, quiet park we happened to stop at. We found out the entire park as well as the meeting room/restroom facilities are inside the locked iron gates! So apparently it is a private venue, not a public park.

A really nice & clean place to have a private event. Facility was really kept well and hall can be fixed to go with any theme you choose. Private rear rooms and huge kitchen to prep food for your party. Outdoor area is huge and a lot of room for guests to hang out and kids can run and play. My only con is there is no actual playground for kids to play on. Otherwise very cool event space.

My daughter picked this venue for her wedding and we thought it was so beautiful we didn’t mind paying the non resident fee. We booked 6 months in advance which is required. 2 months before the wedding we were told that only 80 people could actually be inside the lodge although the facility accommodates 120. The rest of our guest would have to be out on the patio. Never at the time of booking was the number 80 mentioned. 2 weeks later I went to the city to talk to them about it and no one took responsibility nor apologized for the inconvenience. When I asked what could they do to compensate us, (maybe a percentage off the rehearsal dinner fee the evening before) we were told by the supervisor we could have a full refund. Yeah right after the invitations were already printed and mailed out! The bathrooms were not clean at all!! And we did all the work of putting up tables, chairs, sweeping and mopping as well as trying to make the restroom look presentable for our guest. I’ve rented other park facilities before and all the clean up was part of my reservation fee.

Great Private park that has a large fence around it, a nice open hall with fireplace and kitchen, and an amphitheater. It is a city park, but it is only open for events or to rent. If you live in Lakewood, it is crazy cheap to rent. But, no alcohol, no exceptions. During the summer they have low price family camp out were everyone pitches a tent and they cook dinner. They even had a camp out for Halloween this year.

This was our first go-around with zip lining as the last time we were here our youngest was, well, too young. The lady at the front advised us that the next opening for the zip line tour was led by Spanish-speaking guides (who could not speak or understand English). I understand more Spanish than I can speak at this point -- passable -- but our two boys are just beginning their journey into a 2nd language. I decided to give it a go and Im glad we did. The guides took extra time with us before hand to go over all of the signals and terms theyd be using in Spanish. I added extra emphasis and a small amount of translation.Despite the fact that all involved were newbies with a huge language barrier it all went off without a hitch. Well be going back for another round shortly.
