This is our local park! Its very cute and a nice little walk around. Its very simple but lots of green and a fun little playground that my daughter loves.

Honestly, this is a pretty chill park to go hang out in. most of the negative reviews seem to be pertaining to the playground area, but I dont play on playgrounds and I dont have kids so I couldnt possibly care less about that. The trails up behind the playground area are a great place to just go and eat some grapes or stare at the mountains as the sun sets, hence the appropriate name for this park.

This was my childhood park in the early 90s. Unfortunately, it happens to be the location why it falls victim to the vandalism. As a kid, the older kids and teens have always bullied me out of the park and made their presence known on the playground so I could rarely go on it. So basically I could only ride bikes on the path or wade in the stream.The kids and teens there were rarely ever nice, just bullies and gangs. They always tagged the playground and apparently this nonsense still goes on. Looks like this area will just never change. Even into young adulthood I felt like I could never go there alone because when I would the groups would just stare me down and I always felt threatened. I give the 5 stars for my memories of the fallen tree limb and creek and forest hideouts but I never truly felt safe there alone

What this park lacks in playground it makes up for in beautiful open space. A great little stream runs thru it, with multiple tiny waterfalls. Adventurous little trails can take you into the long grass to explore more.

A weird little hidden gem in West Lakehood. Plenty of nature and variety, for a small park: some hills and winding trails, a river (saw muskrats), pavilion, big old growth trees, nice playground (kinda beat up and old, but good enough).

This is a large park with a playground and a substantial running / walking path. There are various bridges and small waterfalls with streams. There is also a large, covered gazebo.

I usually enjoy my walks with my dog there; its quiet, a lot of trees,walkways are broad and well maintained. Keep in mind there are no bathrooms, but there are shelters, picnic tables and play ground.

My daughter grew up at this park in Lakewood. Best place to see a sunset in the summer. Can you find old man river rock?

Perfect for RC of all kinds

I love this park and I’ve grown up in this area and this park has always been a go to for me. Lately there has been coyote spottings. I tonight had to rescue my cat from 3 red foxes. I’ve even noticed them out in daytime more often.

This is a great park to just hang out, or walk around the trail system. I spent a few hours here reading in the shade, then took a little walk around the area. The people I encountered were very friendly. Pets are allowed, but should be leashed, even though some people decided that rule was for other people, not for them. Also, if you decide to bring your pet, PLEASE bring along a few doggy bags for picking up after them. This is a beautiful place, and it needs to remain that way, and not covered in animal waste. A similar park near my home recently said no more animals, due to people not picking up after their pets, and not having them on a leash. I now have to drive quite a way to take our dog out for a walk in the park. PLEASE DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO THIS PARK!

This park is close to our home so we like to walk here and play. The park keeps getting ruined and my sons cant play on all the equipment because its broken. There are holes in the slides and graffiti with curse words all over the place. I like having a park by our home that I can walk to and my kids can play at but I really dislike how little maintenance this park has had in the past year and how much damage is done to the park by (probably) teens and others.If the city of Lakewood can fix this park up and maybe maintain it in the future I would like this place a lot more.

A great local park. While theres not a ton of playground equipment, theres a large pavilion and plenty of space to run around. Theres also a good loop of flat concrete sidewalk, perfect for roller skating or riding bikes. Theres plenty of space for picnics underneath the trees next to the creek. Its the perfect park for smaller kids, though bigger kids can have fun here as well. ;)

Great little park with a full playground and a large pavilion with tables. Its always clean, no litter, etc. It is right across the creek from the paved trail that seems to be very popular to people walking on lunch breaks, walking dogs, skateboarding and riding bikes. Its a gorgeous space and represents our beautiful state well!

It is a place where you can be alone or with a group. You can play baseball, football, or even soccer. Most people walk there dogs in the park and always there are kids always running around and having fun.

Love this park. We have been taking our two dogs for a walk there for a year and a half now because we live nearby. It has a nice stream running through it. The grass is maintained and green. The trees are big and beautiful. The people are friendly. They have a little playground for the kids at the center of it. Watch for Coyotes in the summertime if you go in the evenings.

Beautiful, clean park with space for dogs and people both to play.The only negative thing I saw was the lack of facilities. No restroom or water.

This is a pretty park. Sometimes people smoke pot on the playground later in the evening which sucks, but if you take your kids during the day you wont run into it. The walking path and River are pretty and nice for walking the dog, or going for a run.

Excellent park for kids and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Commons area is close to playground and is clean. Great place to take pictures of the sunset . Construction has completely ruined the stream/creek that runs through the park. Trash has built up expodentally at the east bridge.

Nice, quiet, relaxing place. Listen to the water flow, or play with the kids. Would have hot 5 stars if it had been bigger.

A lot of space for really anything you want to do! Its got a good look though the zig zag is kind of annoying! Great place to hangout though!

We went here because the reviews were pretty good. What a mistake! The trails were pretty but the park was a nightmare- holes in the rubber, slides smelled like urine. Not a good place for children.

I love this park. Its got a nice feel. The sidewalk is pretty messed up but has a nice overlook. Really like to watch sunsets at sunset Park lol. Just wish they would stop cutting down all the trees. Those trees were there a lot longer than anyone else, one had to be at least 60-80 years old that they cut down for no apparent reason. And there is so much trash in and around the creek its sad.

I enjoy this park. Little parking, but varies in terrain. They removed the big swing on the south west end though. That was the best part!

Its a nice little park without bathrooms. Your kid might have to go and thats the end of it. Make sure your kids go potty first or you fir that matter.

Its alright-ish. Stinks like pot in the afternoon from high school aged kids smoking up on the play ground equipment, and there are homeless people camped along the creek to the West, and all over the old BMX jumps to the East.
