This is a good walking park. Very open, safe and centrally located. With nice surroundings for taking pictures. You can easily walk a mile, or more if you want. We walked the entire park one time and it was almost 3 miles. Good workout.

A beautiful park for strolling, especially if you enjoy bird watching. Many species stop here on their migratory paths, while great blue herons and cormorants arrive in mid-March to nest and raise their little ones.

Nice park. Grounds are pretty nicely maintained. Need more bathrooms! There is one set of porta-potties down by the stage area, away from the trails, and that is it. Trash cans smell pretty bad and it is basically winter, not looking forward to walking by the dog poop cans in summer. Lots of dogs and several of them off leash (against park and city rules). It is a nice park for a walk though with several choices of hard top or dirt paths. There is a 1 mile and a 2 mile main trail that has branching paths off of.

Love this place! It’s got great views and wide sidewalks and paths. Lots of places to park, portapotties if needed. Always well kept and not too heavily trafficked. Historical buildings and information about them make it cool too.

My family enjoys coming here just to walk around is or the nearby lake area, even just to do Pokemon Go, which has a lively community that frequents the area.

This place, compared to many other local parks, is VAST. Many things are scattered through various parts of the park. From memorials to playgrounds and open space. The lake in the center is often populated by many birds not often seen other places due to the lack of, or toxicity of the water. Such as cranes, for example. The walk around the lake is estimated around 40 minutes.

This heritage center is more than a museum, and a stage. It has actual period buildings with actual equipment and vehicles in an actual depiction of how life once was in the area. Much of it is outdoors, hands on, and very informative. It is also easily located right off a main road, inexpensive, and near a variety of shopping and restaurants. It is a must see for anyone visiting the area, and interested in its history.

Yes its a very beautiful place to go and be with nature without really leaving the city, it was very heartbreaking though due to there is no fishing allowed. as an avid fisherman I saw it as a beautiful little spot to hang out and catch and release not far from home. Quite the bummer I havent been to that park since Fathers day .
