I go here a lot after work. There is a nice playground for my son to play on, and lots of picnic tables around for me to sit and relax listening to the fountain in the pond. There is a wonderful walking trail around the pond that makes for great exercise walking or a safe place for my son on his scooter.

We had a wonderful time at this park. There is A shelter with A place for BBQ, play area for kids, picnic tables, beautiful lake, parking area and rest rooms and more. Clean park with nice view.

Walk my Pitbull there all the time, very nice nature walk!

I enjoyed a nice couple of laps atou d the pond with my dog. The sun was shining for the first time in days and I saw a hawk hunting by the pond. A few runners were out as well.

Cool place to get your work out on and play sports. However lock your doors when your here believe it or not people break into cars often here. Last time i was here a lady got her car broken into.

Clean and beautiful with a short walking trail, red winged blackbirds, ducks and some other birds. Very nice for a short family outing. Public bathrooms looked like they were available

This is a fantastic public park. There is a pool that has areas for young children as well as older kids and adults. Basketball and tennis courts. And most of all the best walking loop in Lafayette. Just long enough for a couple of laps without being too long for those who just want to see the scenery. A beautiful pond with native Hoosier wetland plants and wildlife. I visit weekly at least all through the spring and summer.

Great park for walking, playing, fishing, and relaxing on the South side of Lafayette. Baseball/softoball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, and small pool open seasonally are great additions to the hilly, paved walking ribbon wrapped around a lovely pond. Accessible to local neighborhoods by walking paths.

Great for walking around the pond, playing tennis, basketball, baseball, or going for a dip at Castaway Bay pool. Most of the community seems to consist friendly people, but youre always gonna run into a few bad apples anywhere you go. The playground is nicely kept, but a little small. Theres also a nice paved bike/hike trail that runs along the RR tracks on the back side of the park.

We come here all the time to walk when the weather permits. Its close by, easy parking, and hardly ever a crowd to deal with. Lots of other facilities on site that we dont use (tennis & basketball courts, playgrounds, baseball field, pool), but they are all nicely maintained.If you want to get some steps in, and probably meet a few friendly dogs along the way, this is a great spot!

This park is great for walking around the pond. The playground is small, but there is plenty of grassy areas to throw a frisbee or a football. I love taking my dog here for walks. They also have basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball fields.

Great place to walk the doggies

Nice for a quick walk and not normally too busy if at all. Not very scenic and sometimes they let it go too long without cleaning and the pond gets scummy and smelly. The geese frequent this pond to there is goose dung all over the sidewalk. Enjoy that mine field!

We didnt check out a lot of the park because we were there for an art festival. The walking path was pretty nifty and it had a nice pavillion.

Everytime I go its not super busy. I love that its outside so I can sit in the sun. They have lifejackets for the kids which is q big help for my 5 year old. Very nice place.

I love Armstrong park because theres so many things u can do there. My favorite is napping in my car feeling the nice weather and sitting under a tree with my family and good food

Gorgeous park. The first time I went was early spring and even though then the vegetation was bare, it was still pretty. Watch out for geese though. One almost chased my pooch into the lake

This is a lovely place to walk. Theres a nice path that goes around the pond that has benches and swings scattered throughout. There is some nice playground equipment as well if you have kids to entertain.

Nothing terribly exciting....better parks in Lafayette or West Lafayette. I would recommend Happy Hollow Park as a significantly better alternative.

Like this park. Nice walking circle thats paved around the pond. Pretty landscape. There are days there are a lot of geese and they can be ornary. Picnic tables, benches, small playground. Tennis courts, basketball and a walking trail also. Decent parking lots. There are restrooms as there are ball fields there. Its also next to the public pool. Just check weather and hours. There is also a decent law enforcement presence as they do sit there to watch for speeders. Dogs on leashes only.

Quite a nice park. Not a lot of open space, but great for a quick walk around the pond, a youth baseball game, or a game of basketball or tennis.One big downside if you have little ones is that the (rather small) playground has no shade and the slides get HOT under the summer sun.

Parking is okay if you drive there. Great place to walk on the trails and bring your pups for exercise. I actually proposed to my husband there. Lol

I used to take my children and there friends nephews and neices there to fish. the sports feilds there are great and always friendly smiles there . when i go there the memiries flood back. great park

Good park to walk your dog(s). Has tennis courts, as well. The playground could use some attention though. A big plus is that Armstrong is typically less crowded than Columbian Park
