One shouldnt expect this place to be like the denver childrens museum although the name and their website might suggest them to be as good .. maybe due to covid we did not get to see a lot here but my kids got bored and finished exploring all their exhibits in about an hour . some of them were not as clean as one would expect for example their lego exhibit had this mini tower right in the middle which wasnt cleaned enough .. they are small business and I certainly want to support them but just want to set expectations right
Great location but parking sucks a little. Good spot for toddlers. Busy place. We really enjoyed it there. The little one wanted to take the happy face balls home with her & did not want to leave. The only thing that I disliked is that a few parents werent watching their kiddos. Im a retired teacher & this place is fun for learning! Due to privacy concerns couldnt post the little one enjoying herself!
I really enjoyed the learning activities. My kids had a good time. I just wished they would have provided more manipulatives for the kids. We got one bag per family, with very little toys. We had 3 children so they had to share. It was not ideal. Also, the closing time seemed a bit rushed. Everyone was out 10 minutes prior to our ending time. Everything else was fun.
Its a great place for kids I love that its not just play but learning I do feel the price for kids is a little high if theyre under 3 its $10 for any kid one year or older but its a great space for toddlers.
This place is so much fun!! My 2.5 year old son absolutely loved it. There is a TON of stuff to do! There are things to climb, coloring, dress-up stations, science, slides, and tons of stuff to learn from, manipulate, stretch, push, etc! My son especially loved the car racing ramp! It does get a little chaotic when too many kids are there at once. It might be worthwhile to consider a capacity on busier days and let more children in in waves just for safety. There were a lot of children running and smacking into one another. All-in-all, we will be back again for sure!
Good for little ones but not for slightly older like 11 some of exhibits were closed after a hour everyone was bored
This place is doing an amazing job with having to follow all the COVID protocols. I felt very safe taking my little ones here and they had a great time.
My kids enjoy this museum a lot . It is smaller than I expected but has a lot of great stuff for kids 6 and under ( where as the one downtown seems better for 4 and up) my girls love the variety and like to do art, build, and play in the doctor and grocery area. Its worth getting a membership especially for the cold days where inside play is nice to have.
This was an unexpected find. Kids had a great time playing and doing all the experiments. Very secured and clean. Will definitely be back again when in town. Wish they had a better selection of snacks and drinks in the vending machine. There are local restaurants within walking distance and they allow outside food.
Fun for young children. Kids from 3-8 will have a blast here. The facility, though small, is well done. This is like a very scaled down version of the Childrens Museum in Denver. It is a good alternative to driving 30 miles to Denver and paying more if strapped for time. My 8 year old had fun playing pretend with a few new friends she met at the center. I think kids older than 8 would probably get bored pretty quickly as the facility is small and seems to draw younger children.
I absolutely love the wow museum. It got even better with all the new renovations. I’m really glad they took out the old exhibits and put the new ones in. It’s so much roomier and open. The museum is always clean, safe and accommodating (although the prices are a little steep). The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of one area that makes me pretty disappointed.I understand teaching our children health and how to nourish our bodies. But I’m the area with foods (the doctors office area) there is a diagram of drinks with sugar and comparing it to candy which is a bit much. I know I may seem like over the top but what we teach our children goes far.We should tell our kids there is no such thing as good or bad foods. Sure there are more nutritious foods than others but kids want to play and learn about their bodies and foods not be concerned about how much “candy” is in their drinks. I think it’s damaging and using a scare tactic isn’t right. Personally if this was removed I’d be happy but it is what it is.
We attended the be my baby event for Valentines Day and it was a lot of fun! Great museum for the little ones although probably best once your kiddo is mobile. The atmosphere was safe for young children to run around and use their imagination. Would recommend!
Although the prices have gone up a bit, it’s such a great, low-key museum for little kids to spend a couple hours. I’d say ideal age is 1.5-5 years old. They’ve done a ton of updates recently which were much needed, but make the place even more great. Good place for play dates as well, in terms of not being too overwhelming but offering more than enough to keep kids happy and engaged.
The museum itself is pretty cute, and my kids loved it, but it’s small. We’ve been to a WOW museum in CA and it was much larger. The pirate ship is very cool and so is the light room. The downside? It appears to be where all the parents with sick kids who can’t take them outside come for the day. Coughing kids and adults everywhere and parents just letting their obviously sick kids stick toys in their mouths without batting an eye. It felt more like a cool (but germ infested) daycare than a kids museum.I gave my kids a bath as soon as they got home and washed their clothes. If we aren’t all sick in a few days I’ll be pleasantly shocked. We definitely won’t be going back just because of the people who went there. I also think adults should be free. It’s a small child’s play space. The adults are only there to supervise. I don’t regret going, but we won’t go back.
I have taking my kids here a few times now they love it... I do personally think it is better for the nine and under age group, even though they do change their interactive (call them exhibits) our regular basis totally worth it plan on spending at least 2 to 3 hours there with the little the ones....
We had our sons two year birthday party at WOW this weekend and it was perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the party room was prepared nicely and most importantly all of the kids had a great time. Loved it, well definitely be back.
We loved this small museum. I would call it a large playroom more than a museum. My 4 year old loves to dress up and she spent most of our time there trying on different costumes. She had a blast doing that and keeps asking when we are going back to explore the rest of it. I would recommend some more upkeep as many items were missing from the exhibits and others didnt work.
I wish this wasnt so far from us, my stepdaughter had a great time here! Theres a variety of different activities that kept her entertained for hours. I loved all the different themed rooms--lights, air, art, theater, building, & the little area outside was nice too. Will definitely go again if were in the area!
It was very entertaining for all three of our children (ages 9,7,and 6). The staff was very friendly and everyone had a lot of fun. We will definitely return often.
Birthday party review. Had my twins 4th birthday party here. It was absolutely perfect. The pizza and cupcakes were local and delicious and they took care of ordering and having the food delivered. We made a fruit salad and veggie tray and brought milk to go with the lemonade we ordered. The only thing I wish I had known is that they only provided plates and utensils for the kids and not the adults. Next time we will bring extra plates and cups. We are already planning for their 5th birthday to be here too!
So much fun for my 1 year old! We love the new 0-3 year old section!I do feel like some of it needs some serious updating but I understand they run on . So donate!
Feels like the price is high for what you get. We are disappointed with the renovations so far (took out several of my kids favorites and lots of the materials are still old and well loved). We did like the new outside area. I know theyre hoping to change more next year, so Im interested to see how much it will improve. And if so Ill change my review.
Amazingly fun place to take your little ones! Daughter is 14 months old and enjoyed every minute. Smaller than the Denver location, still great.
Great for a 5 year old. My son really enjoyed it. Spent about 2.5 hours there. A 8/9 year old would have limited things to keep them engaged for an extended period of time.
Recommend for younger children 5 and under!
Fantastic place for kids to play and explore. Parent friendly / accessible. It was clean, well organized, and in good condition. Everyone played well together when I was there. Lots of fun up to about 6 years old in my opinion. Newborns needing tummy time, lots of interesting textures to lie on.My 2.5 yr old had non stop fun for 5+ hours.Note, parents stay with children, not a fancy baby sitting facility.A must see if you have a child newborn to 6yrs.
The idea behind this place is great, but it is overly crowded for such a small place and parents do not supervise their children hardly at all. There was a birthday party here in the back room while we visited and the adults primarily stayed back there to chat while their children ran around crazy. Children were rude, cruel, and selfish and there were no adults around to correct their childrens foul behavior. This place charges $10/child and $5/adult, however it would be much better if adults were free with a child admission.
Have always loved. Its getting some updating (which its needed) but my kids always get sick when we go there. Would be beneficial if they sanitized surfaces more often through out the day. Kids love this interactive place. Will always go back as long as my kids are asking
Great place to let kids play and explore on a cold day outside
Small fun place. Pretty clean. Good for spending 2-3 hours there.
It was fun, but very crazy. I have little ones and they were being run over by older kids not being monitored by their parents. Some parents were to busy socializing than sharing time with their kids.
Wow, what great place! It was fun and engaging for the grand kids from start to finish. A great time had by all!
Great place for the kids! Fair pricing and friendly staff. We have so much fun!
Highly recommend this place for organizing your childs birthday parties. We had about 40 people for my sons 7th Birthday and they wee so flexible.Special mention to Dawn and Dahlia. They are just beyond superb and went above and beyond to help us
Cute childrens museum, but could use more thorough cleaning. The art room was a mess with no materials left for my children to use. Markers dried out, pencils not sharpened, etc. Will try visiting again sometime.
This is a great place to take your children. Theres lots of hands on learning and fun. They just opened a new exhibit for children 0-3 yrs old.
Great place for the kids to run around and play. My 4 year old and 9 year old both love it.
Great place to let your kid run wild, as they play they learn is great!. And the staff is amazing
Really nice museum for the kids. They enjoyed themselves...Lots for them play with, learn and run around in dress-up clothes...Lol
We got a membership to WOW a couple years back, and all of our kids (ages 1-6) really enjoy it. Its just big enough for them to feel like they can wander around and explore, but small enough that when they get lost its not too scary to track them down (particularly the youngest). They change out the activities frequently enough, and I expect well keep going for several years more.
Amazing place were from Oregon and brought our kiddo and he absolutely loved it and everyone was really polite! Would definitely go again
This museum is perfect for the younger kids. Our toddler had SO much fun. Lots of things to do, especially for the toddlers whos attention span is already short.I recomend this place to all the people that I know that have young children.
Coolest place for a 2-9 year old.... had a blast with the kidos... and many things to see do and mess with lol...
Great staff and engaging exhibits make this a go-to destination, especially on a rainy day. Adults will enjoy many of the exhibits as well, so even though theyve got a cordoned off area with tables and chairs I wouldnt count on finishing that book youve been meaning to read. That said, with the attentive staff and enclosed playspace parents can relax and let the kids enjoy. Highly recommended.
Fun place. All the exhibits are interactive and hands-on and kept my little ones busy for several hours - and they learned some science while they were playing
What a cool fun place for kids, so much for them to do and experience, I will be taking my 4 year old back again for sure!!!!!
Very cute, not overly crowded. A great place to play and learn
Cute little place, things are kinda falling apart and some of the toys really need to be replaced but I can appreciate the museum, they are a smaller place and clearly wouldn’t have the same funding that the Denver Children’s Museum would have. I actually enjoy it here better not near as crowded and the kids had fun, that’s all that matters! Also nice staff :) UPDATE: they’re making some cool upgrades! Love this little museum!
Great place to play with the kiddos and the kiddos at heart
Small. Filthy. Pricey for parents to get in. I hope they used my donation to purchase bleach. Make sure your kids vaccinations are up to date before going.
Visited once 2 years ago...a child followed my disabled child around, calling him weird and gross. When my husband and I told him to leave our child alone, he went and got his father, who by the way wasnt around one time while he was harassing my child. The parent tried to confront us and we went to the front desk who did nothing. I wouldnt give this dirty, foul, filled with rude parents and children another penny. Dont bother going here!PS--I have the right to review a place any time I want. You dont like it, close your business. My husband placed a review here 2 years ago, not me; youd know that if you actually read it. And you didnt address us 2 years ago. You shrugged and wished us well. I hope you close your doors.
A pack-n play in the bathroom has to be one of the best ideas Ive seen! My 2 year old had a great time with the pneumatic tube! Well definitely be back and well probably do partys for our kids here in the future.
My son and his cousin had such a great time here. This place, lets your kid, be a kid and everything is contributed by volunteers! We will be back again soon! Arrr!
We visited a few weeks ago with our little guy and he had so much fun. There are rooms with different activities for different age groups. There are a lot of toys and costumes to play around. Totally recommend for an afternoon with the kids.
Lots of fun activities for kids & its reasonably priced. But as a result, it can get quite loud & crowed. Nonetheless, well be back!
We love it here. My daughter is almost four and asks to go regularly. We will also be having her birthday party there. The only thing I dont like is that a number of parents let their 8+ kids run around like hooligans, knocking over toddlers, not putting things away, destroying the art room, etc. Certainly not the responsibility of the folks in charge of the facilities, but frustrating nonetheless.Edited to add: birthday party was great! It was the perfect place for my daughter to have ten friends celebrate with her. There staff was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Great place to host a party for those under five!
Came here for a birthday party and we had a blast! The kids were having so much fun and the staff was very informative and helpful!
A fun place to take your child. Parties are popular here and is a great cold/snow day choice. It can be pretty busy on weekends but it is affordable and they offer good annual membership options. They have some improvements coming in the next year. Im planning on making a donation just because my daughter and so many other kids enjoy everything WoW! Has to offer. Oh... And they allow outside food and a very clean eating area.
My husband and I felt gross just being in that place. Felt like we were surrounded by germs. Our daughter did end up getting sick. Crafts room looked like they gathered peoples garbage. Rude children running wild. Parents and grandparents on their phones paying no attention to these children. Will never go back!!
Great place to bring your kids. My 3 year old and my 10 year old had a blast, the only problem is they never want to leave.
This is such a cute little place for kids to have a lot of hands on experience from hot air balloons to bubbles to money and building blocks. Im glad we stopped and checked it out. We spent about an hour there but the kids would have gladly stayed longer bc they made new friends
Great place to bring little kids with so much to explore!
Some exhibits are older (they are mid update) and can get very crowded and loud. There are some clear signs of age/construction that can present minor safety booboos if you let 2 yearolds go with zero supervision for extended periods of time but a great place overall.
For a place geared toward children it is pretty unsafe. 4 and under could get seriously hurt, they have a room with string slights where a kid could easily get strangled, all of their structures are wood and are very sharp. If a kid trips on the carpet and hits their head on any of the games they would split their head open. They have some soap surface where kids are supposed to stand and make bubbles it is super slippery, I saw a little girl slip on it and her leg went into the water...it is also surrounded by a hard surface. I honestly dont think safety was considered when this was built or the ages they advertise are innacurate. Also for the price I thought it would be much nicer and would have better activities for the kids. I was disappointed
Nice place! Kids had fun... Everything is interactive and kept them busy for two hours or so...
It was marginally fun for my 5 and 3 year olds. For the cost there should have been more things to do.
Great for kids; Pre-K and younger. My daughter was frustrated because every exhibit was missing parts which made it difficult to play. For example, the Clinic is cute, but theres no stethoscope, BP cuff, syringe etc despite bins with signs showing where they should be. No play money at the bank, craft room was just a mess. It would be beneficial to have staff pick up and organize more often throughout the day.
Great place to let your kid run wild and know that they are safe and are probably learning something while they play.
Small but highly engaging children’s museum with interesting displays and interactive exhibits. Can get crowded on weekends as they host birthday parties.
There is a decent number of exhibits there and a couple were pretty well thought out. However, it was very busy and only one or two staff members seemed to be doing anything. It was a free for all with hardly any order. A lot of the exhibits were broken or missing components. All said, we had a good time with our 2, 3, and 5 year old.
Noisy, Mayhem, big kids without supervision messing up the displays. Lots of interesting things, and amazingly well-thought-out Interactive stations that, unfortunately, were so overcrowded and items mixed up and taken to other stations, that their effectiveness suffered. I wouldnt go back.
There were a lot of cool things to explore. A little bit of a drive from Denver. I think they could have used some soft background music as it was quiet and a little odd.
Docents were welcoming and children were actively enjoying the entire museum.
Seems to be a smaller, less elaborate version of the Childrens Museum in Denver. Much less crowded which is good.
This place was great. The location was a little strange but inside was great. It had a few similar activities to the Denver childrens museum but was much smaller. I took my newly 2yr old and it was perfect. He could run around, do his thing, not get lost because of the size (I still got exercise chasing him). The only reason I gave 4/5 is because the ride on keep was out of order and the dress-up area could have used someone there to keep it organized and facilitate pretend play. Absolutely recommend taking your little one. There were kids 7and older there they seemed to br having fun, but I felt like they would get bored quickly. Price is reasonable!
We went with a summer camp group and they had so much fun. Wonderful place to play and learn
Small museum. Great for parents to allow children to play uninhibited. Fun tactile learning area, dress up stage, arts and crafts, plus financial literacy, energy awareness and both pirate and doctor play areas. Kids love it, parents are able to relax knowing their kids are in a good environment
Friendly, clean, and kept my 2yo and 4yo happily engaged for over 2hrs!
We recently had a birthday party there are appreciated the helpful staff and flexibility. The children (6 and Under) enjoyed the museum.
Great place to bring young kids. Safe environment to play in with a learning component to most activities. Has something for everyone - pirate ship, cars, science area, wind area, dress up, play grocery store, play doctors office, stage, dance area, yoga area. My two year old loved it.
Fun little place for kids to play and learn.
We came here for the first time on our sons birthday in Feb. and really loved it! Smaller than the Childrens museum in Denver which is really nice. I didnt have to worry about my kids running around because you cant really lose them here! Felt very safe and super fun for our kids (4 and 2). Also love that there is a spot to sit and have snacks which you can bring in yourself if youd like!
Such a cute place. Visiting from chicago and the kids loved it. Its small and simple but the kids spent hours there.
Always a fun time. Definitely a good valued membership.
What a fun experience! It was our first time. There are fun science experiments as well as fun activities like a car track, a huge glow brights peg board, giant bubble maker, doctor office set up with check in and x ray, play store, play bank, play stage with costumes and dance floor. This is a great place to play and explore. Highly recommend.
There is a lot of fun for all the family, my children love this place so much that we buy the year pass to be able to come anytime! Its nice and clean its beautiful!
I love wow I would for sure bring friends and family here
Outstanding place to bring your children coming your friends children, or ones nieces or nephews. Love what they do here! Not far from the elementary school here in Lafayette Colorado...
Okay for kids. Not the cleanest or well maintained.Pricey
This is a fun place to bring kids of all ages. It can get a little crammed and crowded, but its always a good time.
I had as much fun exploring as my toddlers did! So many great memories. Thanks, WOW! I immediately bought a membership.UPDATE: Wow! is the perfect place to bring toddlers and preschoolers. Its small, which helps me keep our kids safe, as theyre never very far away from me--even if they run in opposite directions. This is also the only indoor kid place where I dont immediately get sick after visiting. They must keep it pretty clean!
The best for kids 2-6yo.
Great place for small kiddos. Not an everyday place to take kids but enjoyable though smaller then expected.
Fun place! I think its definitely better for older toddlers and kids but my daughter still loved the sandbox. Its a cute place with a large pirate ship kids can play on/in with several different rooms offering a variety of activities. Theres a stage with costumes for kids to wear as well as a play grocery store, kitchen, doctors office and dance/yoga studio. Very nice little eating area set up away so families and kiddos can enjoy a snack or lunch.
We absolutely love this place for my almost 2 year old. It is a smaller place which is perfect for young kids as the Denver museum tends to get a little overwhelming for my son. We love supporting this local business, and the membership is absolutely worth it (especially on the colder days). The staff does a pretty good job of keeping things clean and put together, and they are always friendly and welcoming. We look forward to playing here on almost a weekly basis.
