This is an interesting 9 hole course with some unexpected rock formations on #8 & 9. Holes 1 & 2 are on opposite side from #3-7. #8-9 are opposite the lake from #1 & 2. The elevated baskets and tucked basket on #8 adds some challenge. The course seemed less busy. There is a kids playground, lake, boat house, and trail that gets it its national golden award.

Love this park and lake! Looking forward to playing disc golf here but really enjoy the path around the lake. Easy to push a stroller, ride a bike, or for kids to walk. Great playground near the parking lot, ample parking, and grassy areas to just hang out.

Great park. Plenty of activities for residents in the surrounding area. The boat house was closed however I did see a sign saying no private watercraft. Id really like to SUP in this lake on my own board. I guess that will remain a dream...

Great walking/running trail, beautiful mountain views, birds and trees. The fitness stations are nice and provide unusual work-out options. Clean bathrooms with running water, water fountain. Ample parking in two lots. Dont miss this local gem, the City does a great job with this special place.

It was very clean and beautiful.. Awesome Rocks dedicated to who or what they like. Totally neat!. The only thing it was tight .. not too much space for ur personal quiet time.. or just to look over the lake and chill not to many spots either. Fishing I noticed..

Here for the first time! It was a beautiful area, nice walk around the lake. Plus stop at the farm to buy some local produce and other Colorado products. Plus they do a CSA (community sponsored agriculture)!! The park is lovely place for families!!

This is a beautiful lake with lots of activities. I came here to magnet fish and caught mostly fishing hooks. I was blown away by how pretty the area was, and came back the next weekend to paddle board!

Very serene family place. Runners running. Kids playing. Paddle boarders about to get dunked. Very nice place to hang out. Its about 1.5 miles around the lake so not too far for anybody to get out and move a little.

Best views of the pier, my fishing pole, or where frisbee golf went so very wrong for me. Likewise, James Peak, S. Arapahoe Peak, N. Arapahoe Peak, Longs Peak, Sugar Loaf Mountain, & the Flatirons from Lafayette...If you dont like it here, I guess you must be from someplace thats even more beautiful. Please support the access fund, the International Red Cross, or just go volunteer somewhere, thank you.PS Share the road yall. PLEASE!

This place is beautiful! Also has tons of Pokestops for Pokemon Go! I feel lucky to live in Colorado when we have such beautiful places like this! It would also be a good place for kids because they have a jungle gym and swings. I definitely recommend this place.

Its a majestic and beautiful walk around the perimeter. No visible torsos floating in this tranquil body of water, unlike other big city lake jaunts. Not too far and not too short. Highly recommended for a small slice of Nirvana in good old Lafayette.

A fun park with lots to do! Playground and lake, walking and running trails, and several large pavilions for group events. Park is always pretty crowded, so choose off hours if you would like some space.

Always one of my favorite local spots to check out! You get an awesome view of the front range from the lake and you get to see a healthy ecosystem with the plants and animals that live here. The path also offers different workout activities such as a rope climb, parallel bars, a beam jump, amongst many others, which are all located along the walking path. Which is helpful for anyone trying to get into shape! The path also has a park and boat house.

My family has always loved Waneka lake park. Its a nice walk around the lake. The picnic tables and play areas are not open yet due to covid but its still easy to social distance even while walking or lying in the grass.

Great little reservoir with nice trail, picnic areas and lots of shade trees.

Lots of shade for the kiddos and plenty of grass to run on too. The swings and everything else is in good shape. There are three places with grills available for parties (and they’re quite close to the park).If you come here for a run or a bike ride, there’s a paved trail around the lake of about 1.7 mi long.There’s a boat house offering pedal boats and paddling yoga. They’re not the nicest people on earth, so don’t expect too much.

Very beautiful place to go with the family! There is a playground for the kids, trails for walking and biking, areas to hold special events, fishing all around. We loved it so much we may just keep going back every weekend for the rest of the summer.!

This is my neighborhood park and Iove it. I have been fishing lately in this lake and this is my biggest catfish catch so far. He is 6 lb and 24 inches long.

Used to live right across the street. Great 1 mile loop around the lake, with a nice park for kids and families to grill. Usually quite busy, but fun place to walk with the family, get in a quick run or just hang out and fish.

By far, Waneka Lake Park is Lafayettes best family outdoor attraction. Theres fishing, a playground, paddle boat rentals after Memorial Day, A great one mile walking trail around the lake, picnic facilities with shelters. Great place for parents, grandparents and kids to play!

Beautiful place to walk and let the kids play, although it can get very packed on the nicer days. The walking trail is great for those looking to get a little exercise. They also have small stations randomly around the park for workout. In the summer they offer boating for nice romantic dates. And a dock to go out on and watch the sun set or rise.

We love Waneka Lake Park! There is something for everyone to do throughout the park. If you have smaller kids, check out the playground near the west entrance. Lots of fun structures for kids to crawl around on and lots of slides. The kids have loved it for years. Near the playground is also the boat house, where during the summer you can rent paddle boats of various shapes and sizes. I think the biggest seat up to 6. Other things to check out include the trail around the lake, fitness course with activities like rope climb and monkey bars and really fun Frisbee course! Its nice to spend time next to some water in Colorado. I see people fishing, but Im not sure there is a lot of catching. Enjoy the park. I know we do!

Family, reunion picnic, 7 tables and a nice shelter! Very comfortable for 26, playground, paddle boats, real bathrooms! We all had a great time, highly recommended!!!️

Great views of the mountains, fun frisbee golf course, and great playgrounds. We love coming here in the spring and summer for a nice walk and frisbee golf. If you come in winter, bring some good ice traction boots if it recently snowed. The snow gets pretty ice packed on the walking path

Superb park. Simply wonderful view of Audubon and Longs Peak. Very friendly community, many regulars. Easy 1.2 mile round the lake. Nice play area and barbecue for kids and families. Dozen happy fishermen and women - Rainbow trout and bass I hear. Good parking on South and Southeast corners. Never full in my experience. Shopping and family restaurants within half mile. Great place to see the mountains and get a little exercise. Lots of well behaved dogs. Theres also an out door gym circuit for rope climbs and steps etc for those who want to keep in shape. Very positive experience, will return frequently. Very clean.

Large pond, with a trail around it. Two access points, one is just a trail access. The other to a boat house, park, boat ramp, playground, picnic area, trails, and disc golf.Fishing was slowing my visit. Suspect trout is most sought after species. Lots of visitors, mostly walkers and joggers. Surrounding area a bit seedy.No private water craft permitted.

Love this park !!! You can find all ages. Laughing, talking, jogging, walking, playing frisbee golf, play equipment for younger ones. Music at times. I stay away, from crowds. But ones enjoy that. When sun is settling, you are able to see the lake glistening, its so beautiful, takes my breath away. Make sure you wear mosquito protection. have fun

Amazing sunsets and tons of fish jumping

This lake is the best my dad has been taking me fishing here for my whole life. The fish are great some bluegill and bass on the line and a big park to keep the kids busy. Also walking and bike path, peddle boats and canoes to rent. An activity for every member of the family.

Beautiful setting with geese and view of the mountains. 1+ miles trail with workout stations, covered picnic areas, restrooms. I noticed some had also donated money for park benches along the trail. Plenty of parking.

Excellent venue, restrooms in the boathouse needed attention but overall fun outing. Reserved a shelter, was handled as per expeditions. People in office less knowledgeable about the area than hoped but was pleased with outcome.

Its a wonderful lake, park, and public service! The people of Lafayette come from far and wide to walk their dogs, exercise, party, and relax. The park is well maintained and a great place to spend some time!

Nice walk around the lake. I sometimes need to rest and there are several benches scattered around. Works perfect for me!

We have rented out both pavillions and the party packs of boats for my daughters nonprofit, events. You can fish here, paddle boat, walk all around the lake, etc. There was a nice short walk from a handicapped parking spot on the East entrance. My 90 year old mom loved it and it was just enough for her to get out and see the beautiful scenery!

Beautiful lake. Lots to do including paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, and standing paddle boats. Theres a ton of places to to grill and a huge playground.

Nice park. I live close to go frequently. My young grandson loves fishing for crawdads and fish. View of the mountains and sunsets are beautiful. Birdwatching is awesome.

Great place for morning, afternoon, and night runs. Load of things you can do around the lake if running isnt your thing, fun place to go fishing at though I cant say I have ever caught anything. Playground is also great if you want to take your kids with you. Friendly place with friendly people 10/10.

I love Waneka Lake. It is just about a mile around the lake, so it is great for running at any level. There are lots of trees, and sometimes good wildlife. The trail is really nicely preserved, and the whole park is super pretty.

Hidden away, great views of the front range and a peaceful walking trail. Fun events in the summer!
