Great fenced in except for the gate. Being able to close the gate at the entrance would be great to help caregivers prevent runaway toddlers.

Good size dog park. They really need to maintain it better. Im not being picky but the drainage and muddy areas will keep some people from frequenting the park. Dont wear nice shoes, be prepared to give you dog a bath and if your ok with that it will be a good time.

Passed by and if I had a dog or two Id bring them here.

I will share what I found/learned about this new dog park during my ONE trip there (its a really long drive for us). The layout is nice, not a fenced in square or rectangle like so many d-parks I have visited. Surrounding the fenced in enclosure were paved sidewalks where I saw some people walking their dogs. There was playground equipment close by, a restroom building, no port-o-let. Back to the fenced portion... There were a few areas (bench type w/table) for two legged comfort. I believe there were several of those obstacle course constructions for the athletic (show off) dogs. The entry and exit is double gated and quite secure. Ample water, hoses, some plastic swimming tubs, dishes etc.HOWEVER I arrived after a rain and you could not get anywhere without wading through water and mud. So some definite drainage issues.Thats all I have. Enjoy!!

This is absolutely the worst dog park In Lafayette there’s dog waste everywhere people don’t bring water for their dogs the entrance and exits are dangerous for both the owners and pets and people do not control their dogs well at all I would not recommend this park at all

Its already run down a bit. Its clear Lafayette doesnt maintain it very well. The dog do cans were overflowing, and the grass was closed off forcing you to walk through mud to get in.There is a large low spot that becomes a mud whole, not great for keeping your dogs clean.

Great place for furry friends. However, I wish there were more obstacles.

Great dog park. Visited for the first time last weekend. Plenty of space, water available. Clean. Baggies available to clean up. Easy parking. Picnic table and shade. Everything one would need in a dog park

A woman had a aggressive dog that she didnt contain in the proper manner. I will not put my dogs in these type of situations. I thought the park was for enjoyment. With that being said. Rules should be followed.

New park. Still a lot of grass. Plenty of sitting areas and shade. Hopefully will be maintained. Took a while for overflowing trash cans to be emptied. Drainage may be an issue later. Flooded last week.

My dog loves this dog park and playing with others here we just can’t go any week it rains.

Its really nice and much more convenient! Tons of shady areas! Only thing I can see as a possible issue is there is no time out area or fenced/designated area for smaller/more timid dogs.

Horrible! So much mud! They really need to haul in some dirt to fill the low spots. Had to literally walk through mud to get to a somewhat high spot. Our dogs were so muddy when we left I don’t know if I’ll be able to cLean it all out of my car! Also the grass was very overgrown. I can see why no one else was at the park when we went. And it hasn’t even rained for days! So disappointed.

Went for the dog park opening. Its very convient and I love that its near the hospital because you can visit or have other visit and if you have children they can go play!

1st grade Easter Egg hunt location. Perfect place for small children. Really nice walking track.

Had nice shade and nice space. Could be larger but overall it was a fun place for my pup

This newly built dog park is muddy and does not separate small dogs from large dogs. This needs to be noted as unsafe for both parties involved.

This is one of our favorite parks in Lafayette. They have a great playground and a walking / running track. There is a covered bench to have a picnic and plenty of grass to let your kids run in!

Beautifully kept playgrounds with lots of open space for the kids to run around. Bring a picnic! Restrooms and water fountains nearby.

Great place to take the kids. They love to feed the ducks, and the pond is stocked for fishing as well.
