I have stayed here every year since I was a little girl. I refuse to stay anywhere else! This is the perfect place to create long lasting memories with your family

Just checked out. It was our 3rd stay at The Breakers and I cant imagine staying anywhere else. Its always been clean and quiet. Easy access to beach or pool. This of course wasnt a normal stay as we were there for Hurricane Sally. My only complaint would be that the mattress in W615 is due to be replaced. Its got some pretty big indentations worn into it. Everything else was perfect... well except for the hurricane. If youre considering The Breakers, we love Asiagos Skillet for breakfast and the new Stewbys location is perfect!

I liked the Breakers. Would have liked to give it 5 stars. However, the heated pool was not open while we were there and I could not get a straight answer on when it would be open and I kind of got the feeling it was perpetually closed. The neighborhood it is in is also a little run down and sketchy (strip clubs and crack houses). Constant sirens day and night. I think there was an entire season of COPS filmed in Fort Walton at some point. Our room was a 3 bedroom. It had everything we needed. However, it could use some updating. Still has a late 90s/early 2000s vibe. Will try somewhere closer to Destin next time.

Only thing that made it not five stars is that it was under construction which made it a little difficult to get around. Otherwise room was beautiful with fantastic view! Beds and furnishings were incredibly comfortable. Spacious and beautifully decorated with a nice kitchen with all the amenities

I was very very disappointed in the location of this condo. I called them before I reserved a room for 4 nights and asked if the okaloosa pier and the Crab Trap was within walking distance, we did not want to get back in our car until we headed home, they assured me it was well... it took us 18 minutes to walk there even longer to walk back (in the dark) after a couple beers with our big meal we definitely was not ready for the walk back. The room had a stale cigarette smell in it. The bed had a thick weighted blanket we had to remove the second night because we got really hot. Great view of the ocean we enjoyed that.

Loved it despite the heat. Met friends and family. A special occasion. My oldest was married there 5Sep20. A lovely time.

Room was clean and stocked with kitchen supplies. Some updates would help and more items like toilet paper, trash bags, and towels wouldve been nice. The DVD players did not work nor did the wifi... no password listed on the router. No the worst thing but its helpful when you have small children. The size of the condo was great and the ocean view was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again.

A few things to note when booking here. The rooms are a little dated. The appliances work but look pretty old. They are going through some renovations right now so that could all change.You stay here for the view. I am not the biggest fan of the beach but spent a lot of time on my deck looking and listening to the beach. You can beat the views here!!Another couple of things. You can get bocce ball equipment from the front desk, which I recommend. Also, they do not provide shampoo in the rooms. I did not ask if they would at the front desk, but it isnt in our rooms. Also, not breakfast, but full kitchen.Definitely stay here. Leave your porch door open and listen to the ocean all night!!! Amazing hotel!

One of the best places to stay in Ft Walton Beach! Right on the beach, friendly staff, condos are all clean and spacious, pools are nice, and access to the beach is easy! We have stayed here 6 times and will never go anywhere else!

The life guards are too strict. Please allow more freedom to us by making guest sign a liability waiver in regards to swimming during the various flag conditions. I am a capable swimmer and I couldnt go past my knees the entire week I was there.

Fantastic! Clean, fresh, modern. You are 100% getting what you pay for. The rooms were wonderful, the kitchen has all the cooking utensils you could ever dream of, I hardly felt that I left home. They give you a beach umbrella and chairs, everyone was so friendly. The environment is so relaxing and clam you just want to stay forever. The rooms are very quiet and well insulated so sleeping peacefully isnt a problem. The view was the best part.The people here know what they are doing and want to make your stay the top priority, and it really shows.This is my second time staying here and I will be back!

Visited the Apartment side of Breakers and was able to experience the beach and pool while we were there. The beach was clean and pretty chill. The recent hurricane must have caused the crazy amount of ocean vegetation to take over the water. However the pool was nice and clean after a short swim at the beach. Thanks for a great visit.

My family has been staying at the Breakers on Santa Rosa for the last 30 years and it’s been amazing for us. Here are some pointers ; if you like your bedroom on the right side of the condo then request a room with and odd number. If you like the bedrooms on the left side facing the front door request a room with an even number. If you have stayed at the Breakers before and liked your rooms then request the same condo the next time. Some condos are much nicer and updated better than others. We have never been disappointed in the 30 years of our stays. We chose to stay here because it was a quiet area with no loud music and no young renters under 25. The pool closes at 10:00 pm and so there’s no noise if you have children to put to bed. The Crab Shack is a fun good place to eat with play equipment under the restaurant which overlooks right on the beach. Go to the intersection and take a right and it’s about 1/4 mile on the right. Yes...they have rules but that’s what makes this a wonderful place to stay....no running the halls or floors at night by unattended teens or young children. Each rented condo has parking spaces available for your car.Once we stayed here 30 years ago we have never been satisfied with anywhere else....

The condo was absolutely beautiful, clean, well kept and up to date. The complex grounds were exactly the same. I think what will keep myself and my family from revisiting are unfortunately other guests. I’m guessing it’s hard to keep the bad apples out when daily rentals are offered. We stayed for eight nights all was well until about three nights before leaving when a rather large group of individuals decided to set up shop in the outdoor game area with the bellman cart as their personal towel rack completely disregarding the no smoking rules. When I called the front desk to let them know that individuals were smoking cigarettes and cigars they informed they would be down to handle it. That never happened, I guess they should have taken my call a bit more seriously as then they decided to move their party to the pool area . Fast forward to the next morning while I watched staff close and clean the entire pool and surrounding area. It is now 3:00pm on the last day of my vacation and the entire complex is sardined into one pool! Needless to say we won’t be back, so many things went wrong here. To Breakers Management, might I suggest changing from daily rental to weekly rental to cut out some of the carelessness of the guests you’re obtaining because you really do have a beautiful property here.

We had our wedding on the beach here last September and also stayed her for 8 nights. Everything was amazing and we will definitely stay again soon.

Compared to the place beside us we had a lot of nice things outside out room including suffle board a nice big pool and gass grills.We also had a beach view from our balcony which was amazing.The only problem we had was the dvd player we bought dvds from the loby to watch in our room then we coudent figure it oit so we called the front desk, they sent person up and they said they needed ro get a new remote so they left. They came back with a remote trying to hook it up but couldnt. Turns out the dvd player wasnt compatible with the tv. We had to return the dvds

Stayed in for 5 days. The condo was one of the best parts of my vacation. Got some nice pictures of the beach, with the emerald coast in the background. Looks beautiful. The condo made my vacation the best one Ive ever had.

Condo C208. Furnishings were nice, but worn some. That condo is RIGHT over the pool in case you are wondering. Overall everything was fine. Right on the beach and an umbrella and 2 chairs are complimentary each day...see Kevin. We have stayed here 2 times now. The overall facility is maintained well and kept clean. We had issues with our toilet which they fixed in minutes. The clothes dryer would not heat up, the piece had to be ordered and did not arrive prior to us leaving. Bit of an inconvenience. Elevators worked. Staff was friendly. Grills worked.

We had a wonderful time at The Breakers at Fort Walton, the staff is very friendly, the room was great. It was a little outdated but it got the job done and we spent almost all of our time out of the room anyways. The view from the third floor was outstanding! The beach was kept extremely clean and staff on the beach was friendly and fun. Very clean place and overall very happy with our stay!

Fort Walton is Destins geeky younger brother. But The Breakers is good for families that are going to cook in and take advantage of the family style amenities. Theres no covered parking for renters, only owners.

People on the board are bunch of sticklers. I was a renter there and they forced me out of parking spot that belonged to my landlord who didn’t use the spot and gave permission to me to use it. He paid his yearly fee for the spot. Those sticklers said according to the policy landlord can’t decide who parks in his own spot but board can. When we defended our right they sold the spot to someone else after being empty a long time. I am like these guys must have nothing important to do to make a big deal out of something so simple. They made my life hell when I lived there. So I moved.. By the way building is old as dirt.

We Always stay at the breakers. Its competitively priced, clean, steps from the beach, with a pool and beach umbrellas included. We always stay at units C207 or W508. Highly recommend

Place is dated and in desperate need of an update. The furniture were old, scuffed up, and soiled.While the location is very near to the Gulf (which is good), I would be embarrassed to recommend this to others.Also, the staff who is working there is very mechanical and cold.We usually go to Gulf Shores near the Hang Out. That place is much livelier and offers various types of entertainment. This place, here at Ocaloosa Island, is pretty much dead in that regard. This will probably not be my first choice for the next vacation.

They gave us complimentary umbrella and chairs every day we were there. They let us use the pool and other amenities while we waited for our room to be ready. The staff was always available to help if needed.

My favorite place to stay when Im in Ft Walton Beach

Awesome beachfront access. Great room to move around, with a nice balcony. Quite a few pluses. Tried to do early check in. Was told by clerk that she would contact us by phone when the condo was ready. Not only did she not call, but she prolonged our check in until her shift ended, while other guests that arrived after us were allowed to check in. However, the evening clerk was great. As far as the space, the only minus was that the sofa bed and love seat need to be upgraded.

This condo is NOT what it seems to be through the pictures on hotels.com. We paid for a room with a king size bed, the first room they put us in was a queen size bed on a low floor and we couldn’t even see the ocean. So we requested another room. They put us in a higher room with a king size bed. Our biggest problem was the pictures on hotels.com are of nice up to sate rooms. The 2 rooms we were put in looked like we stepped back in time. We thought we stepped back into 1985. For the price we paid this was not the quality we had hoped for. They are doing construction and when we got there they were painting with tarps everywhere. We couldn’t bring our luggage up when we first arrived because the cart wouldnt roll over the tarps.

I hate writing a terrible review especially for a hotel I have never stayed at. But when a hotel chargers your credit care over $700 for reservations that were canceled 6 months ago there is a problem. The front desk was very rude when I inquire about the situation and told me the reservation were cancelled and had no idea what I was talking about. I will be contacting a lawyer if necessary at this point. I just want people to be aware and pay attention to there accounts it rent from this establishment.

I stay here every chance I get. Ive been here almost a dozen times. Its honestly the very best place to stay. If you need a place to stay, look no further. All units are suites, theyre clean and have a balcony view of the gulf. Its always amazing!

The Breakers was a great place to stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean place and right on the beach. The room was beautiful! It had ever accommodation we could ever need as a family. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I would recommend The Breakers in Fort Walton to anyone. The guy that’s on the beach and puts the chairs and umbrella out was our favorite. Very personable, funny, helpful and great to talk to to.

This place is amazing! The grounds are well kept, they have everything you need including a lot of extra perks like free beach service, Dolphin Tours and a 24-hour check-in desk. We even had a nice clean box fan in our bedroom. The beds and pillows are very comfy and you cant get a better View! Loved it, thanks W513!

The outside of this building is very deceptive. This is a gem of Fort Walton beach! The condo view was breathtaking. The space was updated, upgraded and well maintained. A very comfortable stay.

Loved that the lounge chairs were free with room. Excellent part of the beach: big waves not too crowded. Lots of people on the beach at night that seem to be looking g for things left behind I guess. Condo could use some updates but the bathrooms and Kitchen were nice. Lobby area was lacking in my area of the building. Only a security guard. Felt safe

Fantastic condos with great location.

Condo was decorated perfectly for a relaxing time! Well maintained property with friendly guest services. We even got to see a pretty wedding from our balcony and a Blue Angels flyover! The area was perfect for our beach getaway.

Went to a wedding, fell down the last step leading out to the beach. From my understanding from other wedding attendees I was not the only one who fell. Need to take better care of that issue.

WARNING! WARNING! CHECK OUT IS AT 9:57 A.M. Not 10: A.M. Guys.Just a little P.O. factor, almost done 1 bag left and lo and behold, the doors automatically lock at 9:57 A.M. We are already sweating with the humidity, from loading up all, the stuff we packed, but somehow had no use for, you know the drill, right, surely, I am not the only one that does that. Right? We had to figure our way from the West building to the central building, via 4th floor to the third floor, walk across breezeway, to another elevator, to go down to ground floor central building, to get to receptionist to get key, reactivated, then reverse that to get back to room for the one bag. Good Grief, you would think out of courteous, 10:01AM. Doors lock. Great facility lots of amenities, two pools grills and tables for use outside. It is my 3rd year staying at The Breakers Fort Walton. Very nice place. Will stay here again. Just a REMINDER CHECK OUT IS 9:57 A.M NOT 10:00 A.M and not 10:01.

Go to the Swizzle Stick. Great lil bar with cute indoor and outdoor seating. You can take you a nice walk on the beach at sunset and enjoy a cocktail.

Annual 2-week Girls Beach Trip 5th year... great, view, staff & condo C413

I am one of a party of 3 having stayed at this condo at The Breakers of Fort Walton. We left a horrible 1st booking at Miramar Beach and moved here. What a difference it made to be in a clean, well cared for condo. You could immediately tell that these owners truly wanted their guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Would definitely book this condo again!

This is our third year staying at The Breakers. We even brought our in laws who are staying in 2 separate rooms.The first year we stayed was wonderful which is why we chose to come back last year. Unfortunately the experience hasn’t been the same since the first year we came and we will be staying somewhere else next year. Last year we discovered fleas in our rooms. My sister and I woke up with several bites on our legs after the first night. Management did compensate and move us to another room which was much nicer. This year we decided to stay for 8 days however the room doesn’t measure up to expectations. I noticed a bad smell upon walking in and a stench that reminded of a restaurant that was using dirty mops or rags to clean with. The mattress is extremely lumpy, there’s a huge dent on the right side of the bed. The bulb blew in the bathroom and we had to wait over 24 hours for them to fix it so we could use the bathroom with light. When maintenance finally showed up, he used his key and walked right in on us apparently he was ringing the door bell that isn’t working. The WiFi in the room won’t stay connected. The washer and dryer is extremely loud. If you decide to take your chances definitely stay away from room c410! I gave it two stars because the other two rooms we have for our family seem to be ok.

Right on the beach quiet beautiful condos and within location of everything stayed a week and having a blast

Decided to go on a spur of the moment weekend trip in May of 2017, we had been driving all day and were exhausted. We stopped at about 8 different hotels and finally decided to stop here and Im so glad we did. The condo was in excellent condition with everything we needed to enjoy our night. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We were checked in and in our room in no time! Every condo has an ocean view and it is breathtaking! Cannot wait to go back! Yes, its a little pricey, but it is well worth it!

Great service. Got me in last minute. Excellent room amenities; full kitchen with utensils too, washer dryer, dish washer. Pretty much a miniature apartment. I stayed for a month so it did feel like home away from home. Balcony overlooking the beach and pool areas too. Its close to some restaurants, not too far from even more. The gym was small but still a gym. They also accommodate military rates which was excellent for those on orders. Not a terrible drive from base. Definitely would recommend and stay again if I have to come back

Right on the beach. Pool, picnic table and grill area available with umbrellas. Our Condo had a small kitchen and living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms. Beautiful and comfortable. Balcony with chairs and table. Great beach view. Chairs with umbrellas on the beach available. Washer/drier combo in kitchen. Small dining area with 4 chairs and 2 bar stools. Regular coffee pot, blender, toaster, frying pan, can opener. Refrigerator with ice maker, stove, microwave, dishwasher. Loved it. Have spent much more for much less.

We have been starting to go here, cause its not crowded, the elevators are always ready, and of course the staff is amazing! I recommend it to everyone thinking about going to Fort Walton!

Great views of the Gulf, beautiful beaches. Rooms can be hit or miss depending on whether or not condo owners have upgraded units or not so find current pics and request spefic units.This was my 4th time visiting and 1st bad experience due to construction noise (that we were not informed would be happening)

The condo was beautiful, clean, and the balcony view of the Gulf was breathtaking. The pool area was extremely well maintained, and we enjoyed the easy access to the beach. The beach attendant, John, was the best! He was so very helpful and kind to answer our questions. Upon check-in, we were given the packets of information. However, I feel there were a few important items that shouldve been verbally addressed (such as no maid service; needing to purchase our own extra necessities, such as toilet paper; needing to wash or bring extra wash cloths/towels). For those of us who are used to a more typical hotel experience, there were a few big differences. When we asked a question one evening, the young man at the desk answered quite sarcastically, Did you not get your information packet? Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would come back, knowing more about what to expect. Thank you!

I stayed shot stay it was about $300 a night the nights I stayed, early checkout no breakfast, very nice condos and they are clean . Love the massage and day spa facial spa next-door I use them while I was there.

Great place, a little old but still very nice. Never got housekeeping over our 9 days even though we made a request at the front desk. Other than that it was great!

Loved the view and the balcony. We stayed during the week of July 4th and it was quiet. Loved the umbrellas and chairs they put out every morning. I will definitely go back.

They are located right on the beach. The beach is easily accessible. There is also a pool and gym all very well kept. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen typically has everything needed. Service is amazing. We have stayed probably 6 times and never had any issues.

Great place to stay. Clean, quiet, nice ocean view. Seems to be very secure, good parking even with kayak in back of truck. Great beach access with chair and umbrella accommodation . This area is Not overly commercialized but access to all that we required. Good base location for me to explore fishing opportunities via kayak in the sounds and bayous . Will definitely be a return stay for us

Great place to stay while on vacation. We got a really good deal on a 1 bedroom condo for 5 nights. The condo was a little outdated, but still nice. King size bed, 1½ bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, fold out couch, and Lazy Boy recliners. The best part of the condo was definitely the private balcony. It was huge and had a great view! The hotel has 2 pools and easy access parking. I rate them at 5 stars based on my experience. I would definitely recommend The Breakers to family & friends staying in the Fort Walton / Destin area.

I’m not the type of person to stop and write a review, but me and my family owe one. This place was fantastic and everything we wanted it to be on our short trip. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

So many things about the place was great. Location, amenities, and clean but, the beds/pillows could be better.

Quick access to the beautiful and clean beach (from Beach Access #3). Parking is very limited, but the facilities were clean, and the beach was also very clean. Its tourist season, so there were a lot of people out today, but still plenty of room to be comfortable and not on top of anyone.

Beach front view was really nice! Only complaint is the pillows in my room felt lumpy and a bit old.

We had a great time while staying at The Breakers. Strongly considering another family trip next year. I would recommend this as a vacation location for anyone wanting to relax and have a great time.

The sand was amazingly softer and so white. Cant wait to go back.

Home away from home.

Great location and view of the ocean. Our room was clean. The staff were nice and attentive. We stayed two extra days because we liked it so much.

The condo we stayed in was beautiful. The vague smell of fresh paint told us it was recently renovated- which we appreciated. The only complaint we had had to do with electrical wiring. In the unit we stayed in switches you thought should turn on certain lights did not. Some switches didnt turn on anything. Not enough light in master room. Otherwise, our stay was very pleasant. Walk to the beach and pool areas was easy. Beach service was great!

Buildings consist of various condos that are rented out individually and all appear to have differing styles and states of renovation. Our unit was clean and comfortable with decent seating options and nice bedding. I would encourage potential guests to handpick their desired room to ensure aesthetics, but overall the amenities onsite make the units almost unnecessary as you will spend so much time outdoors!

Stunning beach, and great water. The rental unit was average in that it was clean - but worn. The sofa bed in the living area was so uncomfortable we could not even sit on it. The apartment looked dated, and while maintained, need to me updated. The place was acceptable - and pricey. We expected more...

Awesome unit! C210 was very clean, newly remodeled with modern features. Very relaxing. Nice well-kept property. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have their upkeep processes really well implemented with a wood shop and repair order system that is manned by professionals. The beach was well kept as well and not crowded at all. Enjoyable experience, highly recommended.
