Weve spent 5 magical days here (3 adults). The condo is beach-front, with a wonderful view from the balcony and it has everything you need for your holiday. The white sand beach is perfect, with a very long water entrance. We will come back for sure!

Pros: beautiful beachfront location. Softest, whitest sand you will find. Clean and well kept. Parking garage. Restaurants, stores and activities within walking distance. Condo was decorated nicely and very clean. Cons: Private beach and pool require wristbands, but they do not enforce. Front row beach chairs and umbrellas are a nice amenity, but not if they allow people to place chairs directly in front of you. Condo was very nice, but noisy. We could hear people above us.

This place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed for a week, and shared Osprey 603 with twelve people total. Our room was so spacious, and well cleaned. Bay side views were gorgeous. Walk to the beach was about 8 minutes. Staff was so kind and helpful from the moment we booked, especially Jessica. We unfortunately came right after Hurricane Sally, so we were unable to do any water activities such as snorkeling. However, we made the most if it by spending time in the lazy river, and hot tubs. We enjoyed the Island swim up bar too, even through the water was freezing. Thank you Destin West for a fabulous vacation. We will definitely be back.

We are in unit 207 not 202 but it is a great little condo. Perfect our family of 5. There are so many pools and access to the beach. Everyone we have met here are so nice. I would recommend this place for your vacation.

Lazy river was great for the kids, and the bay views were awesome! The beach was a bit of hike from the bay side, but the traffic was a lot tighter than it was over in Destin. Also cooked in a few nights since we werent so happy with some of the restaurants in the area.

Great place to stay with family. Condo unit was very nice but not enough cooking utensils. We like to cook in the room some of the time. Close to the beach & pool. Huge beachside pool & nice lazy river on the other side. Kids loved the pools! Dont have to walk too far to parking lot or to the beach. Only thing I didnt like is they only let you sit in a certain area on the beach according to where youre staying. I should be able to sit where I want to on the beach.

The condo we stayed in could use some improvement, but this review is specific to the location. And it is AWESOME. Beach service, pools, close to everything, beautiful beaches, and great service at the desk.There is no splash pad, anymore. It is The Island wedding venue now.

Elevator in parking garage doesnt work, only 1 inside works, other than that it has been good.

For a resort this place is pretty spectacular...the amenities that are offered are wonderful, the abundant pools and the lazy river are great...the pedestrian bridge to get over to the beach is a great idea and makes for an easier way to transport the many items to the beach...we enjoyed our time here and the customer service and maintenance was second to none...we had a few issues and the staff took care of them promptly...

Our condo was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised it was very roomy and clean. It had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect just down from the crabshack within walking distance.

Lots of fun for the family. There are 6 pools 4 of them are heated. Also a lazy river.For the adults a float up bar and a waterfall. Great views of the bay or the gulf depending on which side you stay on.

We stayed in the pent house it was a gorgeous view. My sister and husband however found food left under the bed, also we had moisture accumulation on the floor. This has to do with the condo we stayed in its self. The amenities at the location were amazing. Great pool access and beach access.

This is our first time staying here and everything has been so nice. We have 4 grandchildren here with us, and we have been able to keep them happy.

They amenities are wonderful, the rooms are good, the service was so-so. In conclusion, I say dont expect the best of Hiltons but you wont get anything less of a good hotel. Just plan on it being busy and check the weather as best you can. We unfortunately didnt get a chance to enjoy the water due to waves and jellyfish.

Close to the pier and beach. The layout of the rooms couldve been better. The bedroom and restroom arent exactly private either. Youd have to walk pass the bedroom area in order to get to the kitchen area

We absolutely loved it here. We stayed long term on a TDY (5 months) We were in a penthouse with Mattie Gould as our landlord. She is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Couldnt ask for a more attentive landlord. The location is convenient, the gym is very well stocked, plenty of options for pools, theyre is a huge pool, a smaller pool and a lazy river. All around perfect for us!

Great spot for children and families. Long walk to the beach from the Bayside so be prepared if you have any issues. Loved being able to fish from the private docks. Caught fish everyday. Squid and shrimp for bait. Overall good place. No bars or adult beverages as far as the eye can see. So if you drink BYOB. Would been 5 star if they had a Bar.

Stayed in the Heron. Great resort and amenities. We stayed in L 02, the conda was great with a decent view. The resort is really great for families with younger children. My boya stayed in the pool and the lazy river all day and night.

Stayed here 3 times on the Gulf side. Also enjoyed the amenities on the Bay side.

Wish there was a map in the room and more info about the resort, not just everything around it

Awesome place. Highly recommend. Very clean. Everyone there is nice the pool stays open longer than most condos around all around a great place to go we will definitely be going back.

Solid choice for those of you with kids. We had access to the gulf and bay side pools as well as the Ramada splash pad next door on the gulf side. Excellent sunrise and sunset views. Short walk to the aquarium or the boardwalk as well.

Oct/2017 Love this place!! Hurricane Nate tried to stop us but it didnt work. The hurricane came and went but we stayed. Weve been coming here for several years now. Great location to everything. Easy beach access. Excellent parking garage for access to your floor. Elevators are everywhere. I would recommend this place over and over again. Oct/2018 Once again, another GREAT stay. Unfortunately there was one huge downfall this time... Hurricane Michael. It cut our vacation short, but we had 3 full, awesome days of sun and sand. DWR refunded us the rest of our stay since we had to leave. Again, I would recommend this place to everyone. Great staff and great facilities.May 2019 Back again!!! This time weather predictions show good weather for our week here. Staying in the Villas facing the East. If you want to see a beautiful sunrise, these are the rooms to get. Although you want to be on the 4th, 5th, or 6th floor. This time of year the sun rises over the bay. Awesome! The room were staying in has a bath with tub and stand up shower. Couch with a fold out bed. Nice queen size bed. Nice little kitchen/living room area. It tell ya, I love this place. Will continue to come here as long as the rooms stay well kept.

We always have a great time when we visit here! The staff is always friendly and the condos are always nice! The lazy river is amazing and the sky walk to the beach is convenient so you dont have to worry about the constant traffic on 98!

Great place friendly and helpful staff

Very nice place. Made for a great two-family vacation. It would be great if theyd add a bar/grill to pool area. Pros: lazy river, beautiful landscaping, several smaller pools, beach entry pool connected to lazy river, many tables, chairs, some covered areas, 3 restrooms, 2 elevators on all buildings. Cons: not many tubes for lazy river (they could add around 30 more just to keep up with demand), long walk to the beach if staying on the bay side, which we anticipated but it was a real pain in the butt with 3 young children and taking lots of things. The route: down our building elevator, walk around 100 yards to another elevator, go up to 3rd floor, walk across skybridge, go down elevator walk around to side of building, show staff member your arm band, walk along pier, down ramp or steps to beach. From our condo/unit door to sand took around 15 minutes. Next time, Id prefer to stay on the beach side instead of the bay side.

Getting onto the properties kind of a pain, and in March its spring break and thats a bunch of disrespectful young kids that party until 1:00 a.m. on property. Facilities are nice though, and the grounds are taken care of.

We stayed here for labor day weekend thurs-sunday. The villas were clean and conveniently located near the beach which was nice!The cons- we had to call the front desk 2x to ask for new towels. Took a day to receive them. Housekeeping never came to clean the rooms so we ended up with a bathtub of dirty towels and sand everywhere. For the price and location we were hoping for a more accommodating stay.Pros- very close walk to the ocean, friendly staff and convenient parking.

We stayed here on a family vacation with our kids and my parents. The condo was clean and stock with the essentials. The facilities were in pretty good shape...we had no issues in our stay. Would be good if elevators were faster and parking was better but its always that way at the beach! My family loved the vacation at this resort and we will be back again. We will just make sure to get beach side instead of harbour side so we dont have the walk across the skywalk.

The last minute change by FOREVER Vacation Rentals was worst room weve ever experienced in our years of using CondoWorld as our agents. The room has no usable balcony (unless youre into the INDY 500 being your sights and sound for your staying time here). No work friendly kitchen....which means no real table to eat from cos it is used for much needed counter top & storage area. No closet/hanging space or dresser drawers, because what is provided is used for LOTS of the owners extra bedding. We unpacked and crammed our belongings into the night stands. We feel that we were bait and switched when it came to this room from our original booking of a condo at Sea Gem @ Jetty East.

We stayed here 2 years ago and loved it! Lots of space. New furniture great staff. Easy access to beach. Also loved the pools and lazy river. Definitely going again this year for another great time. By far the nicest rooms weve stayed at on the beach in a long time.

Very cool place to stay, ESPECIALLY if you can get a first floor with your own gated-off patio. That was PRICELESS and made storing pool necessities easy. The pools are great! Make your way to Shell Island to catch some whopping big Hermit Crabs! We found the biggest one on the boat! The area around Destin has crystal clear waters and Dolphins everywhere! Great stay!

We stayed in 408 during hurricane Michael. Despite all the debris and the fact that all the pool furniture had to be put away, they had everything back up and running the next day like nothing ever happened. Smart TV in the living room sure is nice for the kiddos. Great place to stay and great owners!

5 star resort 10 minutes out of the Destin mayhem on Okaloosa Island. Property right on the beach with our sister property across the highway on the Bayside. Fun for the whole family! 5 pools and a gorgeous lazy river along with 3 hot tubs

I have never actually stayed here as a guest but I know I would love it if I were a guest. I have a cleaning company and we have cleaned over here for a few years now. All the units are super cute. The pool looks amazing! Destin West Gulfside is right on the beach! Most of the units have an amazing view of the beach. Its a great place to visit and stay with your family and friends.

Just wow! We ended up with a villa for the price of a hotel room! Its close to the beach with a gorgeous view of the ocean. There are restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores for convenience. We ended up going to rocking tacos because it was in walking distance from our villa. Destin West also has the best pools of any resort Ive ever been to with multiple options available to you. We ended up mostly by the poolside because of the weather but the variety of the pools and the hot tub in the roof made for still a great experience. I would definitely recommend Destin West if you think of planning a trip to the area!

This is our second time being here. We love it!!! There are two sides of the resort connected by a bridge. You get access to four pools, a lazy river, a family friendly hot tub, and other water features. You also have beach chairs and an umbrella set up for you. Its far enough out of Destin to be family friendly buy close enough to get to all the sights!

This is an excellent place to stay. We were in 407 which could sleep six people. Two in the bedroom, two in the bunks, and two on the fold out couch. The unit includes a washer/dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and tools for cooking (pots, pans, blender, mixer, etc.). There are pools and a lazy river to enjoy along with beach access. We had a great vacation.

Great location for people who love the beach. The beach is your backyard. Title floors, three bedrooms and a bunk bed for the kids. Washer and dryer inside the condo. Internet service could be better.

Although this place is clean, well maintained, etc., it doesnt offer any poolside food, music, concessions, bar, etc., at all. The lazy river is pretty no frills and it is quite a walk to the beach from the bayside condos. There really isnt much around the property in terms of food, etc., restaurants.

Very nice place to stay I will go back. Please try not to go if there are any hurricanes in the forecast if possible. That will dampen you vacation.

Destin west is a go to anytime I am in town. Great amenities and friendly staff with direct access to the beach.

Easy access to the beach, bay, pools, and lazy river. Close to restaurants, shopping, activities for kids, and tourist stops. Clean facilities and helpful staff. Missing a star because it lacks the feel of a five star place. Our room had strange decor and felt crowded, but well definitely be back.

Honestly... The best vacation spot in Destin. Affordable, clean, our condo PH3 is awesome and it comes with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The staff is very polite and courteous as well. We brought our 3 kids, 10 13 and 14 years old and they cant get enough of the multiple swimming pools. This place is truly worth every dollar and we will definitely be back! I forgot to mention the beautiful, clean white sandy beach! Thanks Destin West!

Nice views from PH. Roomy condo! If you stay here, make sure you dont get stuck sleeping on the sofa bed. Draw straws and plant a few extra losing straws. Take a sheet of plywood, bed of nails. Anything but the sofa bed!

Resort was great with lots of activities for the kids to do. Lazy river is perfect on those hot days. Boardwalk and beach volleyball is a short walk away and there was a descent arcade right next door for the kids of we had a rainy day.

I have been going to this resort for over 5 years. The renters are very flexible and willing to negotiate, some even offer discounts for being a regular customer. The workers take great care of the place, the pools are open from 9AM-11PM, and the rooms are outstanding with views of both the beach, the city, and the bay.

Awsome! Cant wait to return next summer..

Really great lazy River and beach.

The resort is very well maintained and private. There is access to the Bay, pools on both sides, and easy access to the beach even from the Bayside. There are smaller pools and areas for kids as well as access to bars for the adults.

Disappointing . We booked the room according to the pictures we viewed online. When we arrived, there were paint cans and supplies in the bedroom closet, all of the pictures and decor were also in there. The silverware was dirty as well as the few dishes and pan that was available. The floor was just filthy, my one year olds legs were black from crawling on it. Lazy River was nice and the kids pool, but not much else.

Great location due to easy access to the beach. Nice big rooms with lots of sleeping options. The one thing that would have been nice is coffee in the too. To make with the coffee maker.

Filthy, uncaring and rude staff. 2000.00 for a week with no maid service, no blow dryer, no coffee, no vacuum cleaner, had to ask for towels, only 3 provided. Bugs in lights, mold and filth throughout. Would never recommend to someone I like.

We havent even stayed here have yet and we are already having problems. The condo is very outdated and I found terrible reviews. Everyone warned to stay away from the outdated condos because they were broken dirty and many had bugs and mold. I simply asked if we could switch to a more updated condo becaude I was worried with all of the negative reviews a week after we booked as we booked last minute and was told it was already too late and we would forfeit the entire amount to swap. I also was under the impression this one had complementary beach service but only some of their condos do. I will be sure to take lots of photos and post then. I also noticed many condo rental companies were much cheaper than Destin West and Bay resorts management company. Try another company and get better prices and a better unit.

Clean, lots to do, centrally located

Were staying in one of their Villas and I have to say, it is in a great location. It sits right on the edge of Ft. Walton Beach and and about 6-8 minutes away from the excitement going on in Destin. The room is nice with a full kitchen, washing machine/dryer, full size bed and a pull out bed for people to crash on for the night. There is room service (a little pricey but good none the less). The property is right on the beach and has a 3-5 ft. pool on the ground floor if the surf is too rough. Directv in every room for rainy days. This place is your best bet for a vacation in Destin/Ft. Walton.

We arrived to very nasty room. Had not been cleaned, the ac did not work and neither did the refrigerator. The manager did a walk through and agreed so she moved us to a new room. After 2 nights the ceiling started to fall down on us. We cut our trip short. Would not ever stay there again.
