Cute place right on the beach. A little dated but I would stay again

Clean, great pool and easy beach access.

Internet is horrible at the condos. Verizon is worst ever. Other than that, great place. Conveinent to support, shopping, food and entertainment.

We love the Islander! We have stayed in different Condos each time and have always been pleased! Awesome ocean front views!!

When we arrived they were working on the a/c, we went down to the pool to cool off and when we came back to the room, it was cold and the a/c was working great! They were quick to respond when we called to complain about the a/c and fixed it right away.We booked through Vrbo and booked for end of August, it wasn’t crowded at all. The trip was perfect! We loved the location, and all the amenities included. We loved our clean studio condo which was so cozy! Perfect access to the beach, and the very clean, huge swimming pool. I can’t forget that beautiful balcony view of the beach! Thanks so much for everything we definitely will return to The islander! We didn’t want to leave ...

Great condo, very clean and wonderful amenities. The locks are keyless entry which is great when youre going down to the beach. Wonderful view from the balcony. Two beach chairs and umbrella are provided daily and they are set up in the morning. I love the fact that you are right on the beach. You walk out of the resort, you are at the pool, take the boardwalk and you are on the beach.

The condos were clean and updated. The pool was warm and big enough for the vacation crowd. The beach was clean and the provided chairs and umbrellas were wonderful . We will definitely come back. P.S. bring a blow dryer one is not supplied.

Good place to vacation but the only downside is the pool area. No hot tub and the pool was cold when it is supposed to be heated. The view was great!

This is our first vacation to the island where we chose to stay at a condo. Although our rental unit was acceptable as we literally had to clean the unit ourselves, from there it went down hill. The walkways to the rooms were always filthy, the elevators were gross and the pool and pool areas were ignored. After three days we finally saw a maintenance worker vacuuming the pool. The filtration system was improperly maintained and algae collected around the system inlet and wasnt drawn in. Not once this week was the area surrounding the pool washed down, swept or the trashed picked up. The pool was small and it seemed as though the operator of the complex sold daily passes to the pool. Every morning bus loads of kids were dropped off and picked up in the evening. The pool at times was so full that enjoying it was out of the question. We will definitely NOT be returning and would steer others away.

Really was a beautiful unit! Visited friends who stayed in unit 7007. Gorgeously decorated. Very very clean. Very nice touches throughout. Highly recommend.

Good for the price.. not luxury but if u are on budget its worth it.

Great beach location. Not very crowded in mid August. We rented a condo through Airbnb for about half what the local hotel wanted. The pool was nice and clean, but nothing spectacular. For Airbnb guests, the beach chairs and umbrella were extra, but well worth it. A great relaxing vacation

Location and view are the best part. The place is old and outdated, elevator is very sketchy, and our air conditioner/thermostat only worked part of the time. Biggest complaint was the giant roach i killed in our room, the whole building needs better upkeep. Overall it was a good trip because of the beach, not the room.

Had a great visit. Property is nicely cared for, would visit again.

PERFECT! I love this place. It is so clean, we looks new. We always stay in a certain ocean front condo, and love It. We have went the last 4 years and it gets better every time. The water is so pretty, and clear, and teal. Check this place out if you want a calm, family fun vacation with great prices.

The wife and I were making our way down to Navarre and had no reservations setup. I know, very risky. I found the Islander condominium online, at a good rate and booked us a room. Michael at the front desk helped us out tremendously with our reservation and some complications I made during booking. He hands down made our trip happen. Thank you Michael.Our room was fantastic! Much more than we thought it was going to be. You could see right out to the ocean front the front door. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and decorated. The bed was comfy and clean as well. The room we booked was exactly what my new wife and I needed. The walls do seem a little thin, (nothing that ruined the trip) that you can hear knocks on the wall from the other rooms.We were able to walk to the beach from the condo. Our room included a free umbrella and 2 beach chairs max, available when you walk out to the beach.All in all a great trip, fantastic room, and great beach view and access.

It was really nice and I was glad to stay here. Nice and cool inside. Only wish the door to the balcony was easier to open but that would be a safety hazard for little ones so i guess its okay

I didn’t want to give out my secret spot but best place to go to the beach for ppl that want a more secluded but still enjoy.

Stayed in room 604, really enjoyed the view and the room itself! One thing I really liked was that these condos were built well, so you dont hear your neighbors talking or stomping around so much on the floor above you. It was easy to check in and the beach access was super easy to get to. The location was great too, only minutes from dining/entertainment but in a more quiet section of the island.

Did not like the extra fee they charge.

Excellent location and beach service! We booked via Brooks and Shorey (they also own property there) . Super clean, heated pool and amazing views. This area is quieter and you will have to drive for dinner etc, but SO Worth it! Private beach access and low traffic/noise. This is where you come to unwind and relax. FYI...you can claim your chairs at 8am and they will be reserved the rest of your day vs 9am most places.

Great location, quiet building and waterfront. No boat or jet skis out in the water at this property so very quiet and relaxing for a family getaway.

Our stay here was amazing! The condo was perfect and exactly what the pictures showed. The beds were comfortable and the condo decor was very relaxing. I have absolutely nothing to complain about!! We will definitely book this again next time!

Wasnt the best place we have ever stayed, but it definitely wasnt the worst. We had everything while we visited. We think we saw a manatee. We know we saw dolphins, 2 different types of jellyfish, at least 5 sharks (bullsharks we think), and the formation of Tropical Storm / Hurricane Barry.All in all ... A great week in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Oh, BTW, the unit was really nice too, 3br 3ba. 5001.

Second time there. Noce and clean and great pool. Does needs a hot tub and maybe another activity or two for kids.

Great quiet, less frequented area. Have only spent one night here so far, but it seems they have everything we need and free beach chair/umbrella setup is a big plus. Had a small maintenance issue, and it was resolved very quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Renting room 604 which is a compact studio at best since it is about the size of a hotel room. The room is clean and noise has not been an issue. The room is fairly modern in style and the bathroom is updated. The room has a Keurig machine rather than a standard drip coffee maker which forces you to buy k cups instead of standard ground coffee. Overall I would recommend this place to stay if youre looking for a place to stay.

Our spot for beach vacation has always been Oakloosa Island ( some of you know this as Fort Walton Beach spoiler alert there is no beach in Fort Walton). Our first choice was always El Matador Condos but when we could not get in there, we searched for places down Santa Rosa Blvd. We found the Islander thru Brooks and Shorey and we have loved it. They have amenities that go along with the condo such as free chairs and umbrellas on the beach, free dvds for a raining day, and and free golf, and one pass a day to ride for dolphin cruises. The Islander will be our first pick from now on, El Matador time to step up your game if you want to compete.

Nice beach, clean grounds, all the amenities you would expect. End of April swimming pool is quite cold. They turned off the heat the first of April.

I’ll most definitely book a condo with this company again.

Extremely nice view and room. First night some kid pulled the fire alarm. Not Cool! Kids loved chasing ghost crabs at night on the beach. Ocean wasnt quite as emerald due to tropical storm the previous week. All in all a great place to vacation.

Very clean with a great view of the beach. The kitchen is a little small, but it had everything I could think of. I was even able to bake a cake for my mother in laws birthday while we were there, since it was stocked with a hand mixer and pans. I also thought the room was a little nicer in person than in the photos! I highly recommend the Islander and would definitely stay again.

I liked the beach front but the fact of when i opened the pull out couch there was stains and crumbs on it.

Nice area. Beach and pool beautiful. Construction right next door a bit noisy started at 6:30 am lasts until 5:00 pm. Our view from building 1 505 is obstructed due to the new construction. Workmen at eye level. But you can still see the Gulf on a side view. Icemaker in our unit is not working but we have been provided with a bag if ice.

Excellent hotel in a safe area. I didnt need anything fancy, but this place exceeded my expectations. The view of the ocean is breathtaking, and well worth the price alone. The room itself was small (448 sqft) but it came with a well stocked kitchen/dining area. The staff was nothing special, no real customer service. The complimentary umbrella/two recliner combo for the beach was very helpful (but note they take them away at 5:00p on the dot). The location is great, because its farther away from the crowds, but still close enough to some convenience/liquor stores. I went in late April, and there were times that my wife and I were the only people on the beach, so timing is important as well. I intend on coming back every year or two and staying here from some relaxation.

Well appointed and tastefully decorated condo with a great view of the ocean and plenty of parking, including accessible parking. Rental unit included to beach loungers and an umbrella already set on the beach.

Visiting a friend, so only my impression as a guest. But I was not impressed.Its possible that the condo are more spacious than other places, and the lighting did seem quite good inside. Even more seating than maybe expected. But too many mirrored walls, and that did not seem safe with and children around. The fridge in the (otherwise decent sized kitchen) literally had doors of two different colors. Side-by-side doors. Maybe that isnt a big deal for others, but it left thinking that owner/management is all about doing things cheaply, which worries me.The parking lot was not well lit. The street outside the building was not well lit - we had a terrible time finding the entrance in the dark. The floor, as we exited the elevator was not well lit, and felt like we had walked out into a parking deck. It was perplexing and off-putting. The door, when we found the right condo, had lots and lots of security locks on it...which is both sorta of reassuring...and worrisome at the same time.I was glad to spend the time there visiting, but happier to be on our way back to our condo 10 min away.Its been a number of years since we stayed on Santa Rosa Island, but I dont remember it feeling quite so sketchy.

Very much enjoyed our stay in one of the owners Home Share units #106. It was absolutely adorable! Decorated very nicely. Just be sure to bring toilet paper for your crew because you get a standard, single roll of each. Otherwise, great place!

Huge construction site next to our hotel. You couldn’t even sit out and enjoy the view without hearing all the banging and drilling. Our room was small but fine for 2 people, but the bathroom was awful. The towel rack was coming out of the wall. You could see the many plaster jobs they had done to try and fix it. The ceiling was peeling off and the caulking around the shower was black and gross. Definitely would not recommend and will not be back!

I have been coming here for the past 3 summers and absolutely love it! The most recent complex I stayed in was 4004 and its my favorite. Its reasonably priced, and I love the beach view.

On our first night, we found a cockroach in the bathroom drawer. But it is very close to the ocean and the owners kept good care of their condo.

My husband and I absolutely love this resort.!! Its peaceful and has a family friendly atmosphere. This is our second time staying here,our first time without our children! We are staying in a studio unit and it is fabulous. We are definitely considering this resort for every getaway!

We rented one of the studio units with a full bed and a sofa bed. The size was perfect for our needs and included a kitchenette. The islander is one of the furthest condos down the beach and is 4 buildings down from a protected beach area. The condo is an easy 2 mile walk to the boardwalk. Loved it and would rent from Wyndham again!

Very clean and beautiful view

The Islander has been great so far. The price was good and accommodations are nice. The condos use keypads for entry which eliminate the need for shuffling keys. The negative to that is the door does not lock internally and is not secure for small children. The chairs in our condo are the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in. I would pick a different unit next time, but would stay again assuming there are units secure for children.

Love the location. Weve stayed here 5 times in the studio and its awesome. Great beach & view, roomy, cozy, clean. Friendly people. Wifi is great too.

Gulf view is awesome. Large pool. Easy beach access. Overall nice experience. Restroom vent fan was loud. Sounded like it was angry for being there and then it started squealing and I think it died. The vcr/DVD combo player seems a bit out dated but to each his own. The cable worked great but we did not go there to watch vhs or dvds anyway. This is a resort, not a hotel so bring your own blow dryer. You will enjoy this place. Its as good as any other with a staff that seems to care. Check out was easy which I like. Just leave the room and click a link in the text they will send you and youre all done.

Unit 705 is absolutely beautiful. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are fantastic.

Construction above us has made this stay quite uncomfortable. They do stop at t thank goodness nut does NOT make for the relaxing vacation we were looking forward to. Very disappointing.

Great place to stay Loved it!

Were currently staying in 1-207, July 2, 2017, which has been updated and could be very nice. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the unit was less than 70% when we checked in. The pictures make the unit look very clean, but there was hair everywhere. It was medium length dark hair and it was obvious that the cleaning staffs efforts to clean was less than subpar. The refrigerator had crumbs of food all over the inside, so my guess would be that they completely forgot to wipe it out. It has a very nice view, but is on the side of the building next to the public beach access, which hasnt been an issue for us, but some people may not like dealing with people coming and going all the time. Today we finally went to the check in desk to let them know that the shower curtain in the hall bathroom keeps falling off the wall, the rod needs to be replaced, as we have tried several times to fix it, but to no avail. We werr told that they would make a note of the issue, probably not the response that would speak to great customer service. Im giving three stars because the unit has been nicely upgraded, but unless they get a new cleaning staff, or do a cleaning overhaul, I would think the cleanliness will continue to go downhill. Also, since we will continue to use the shower, it would be nice to have the shower curtain rod issue addressed while were here since well continue to take showers since were here for four more days.

I found our condo very comfortable and the staff and maintenance crew were very good. Awesome breathtaking view of the gulf.

Were leaving Saturday but truly sad to go. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!

Unit 4004 this year...love this 2 bedroom gulf side unit. Nicely updated, very clean. Entire family enjoying the stay...even with tropical storm Alberto lurking in the gulf.
