Brought a picnic lunch here a couple days ago. Great park! Multiple picnic table options; some covered some not. Great oak tree canopy! Bathrooms available. Although we did not go fishing the folks that were looked like they were have a swell time. Lots of birds and turtles to see too. Lots of area for a toddler to run around. The biggest downside at the writing of this review is the construction on the main road at the entrance to the park and the playground construction. The main road construction made it a little difficult to find the place. Once that playground is complete it will be epic! Well be back for sure!
Driving off of the main road this park is much larger than you think. This park is absolutely beautiful! River side with docks and plenty of views. There are wonderful old growth oaks, tall palms and bottle brush trees leaning into the lake that is the center of this park. Several pavilions, park benches and picnic tables make this area a nice place to gather. Im really pleased that there are clean public vault toilets, childrens playground, lots of larking and a boat ramp for public use. You can easily spot turtles, birds and other wildlife. There are packed shell areas for walking. The water was high in December and the grass was soft with water filled areas but there are other high areas to recreate. Overall the nicest park in the area.
Id give a 5 if it werent under construction at this time, but I think the improvements will be worthwhile. I use the park to launch my kayak. Launch is easy to use, and the traffic isnt an issue at all. While kayaking on the St. Lucie River North Fork, the boaters have been respectful, slowing down to reduce the wake as they pass. The environment is simply stunning and rejuvenating.
Love the park... Always wildlife to see... Usually have clean bathrooms and a play park for the kids is being built... We mostly use the boat ramp... Has 2 lanes and plenty of parking for the amount of people that use it...
I found this place absolutely beautiful. So much so, I went three times in one week and still planning on going back. It’s very tranquil, yet so much to capture through your camera lens. great place to pack a lunch and enjoy at many of the picnic cabanas.
My family and i love going to white city park. We fish, we kayak, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Perfect place to go and enjoy family time and take lots of pics.
Its beautiful there. They have done alot of work to it and have put in a new playground for the kids, but I dont think its completely done yet.
Nice park, lots of grass and trees, several places to fish and picnic. Great area to take photos.
Beautiful place to take photo. Took daughter there, to take photo of her prom night... lovely place. Very comforting place to be. See gators in water, took photos... excellent place.
Our doxie, Gracie, loves going to White City Park and walking around. We do too!
Had a great ride with Captain Rick. He was very pleasant and informative. Showed us gators and turtles and gave us info on the river. Thus river is absolutely beautiful, the real Florida. We has so mush fun, we’re going again! Great place to take visiting guest. Thx Captain RICK!
Beautiful park with big oak trees and spanish moss, lots of gators so watch out. wouldn’t give it 5 stars because the trash cans were overflowing and trash was littered all over
One of my favorite places
A beautiful park, very peaceful!Lots of squirrels, birds and a few alligators! Might even see a manatee!
Had a great day as we celebrated my great grandsons birthday. The park was clean. Not overcrowded and the weather was perfect. You could have a hand at fishing or barbecue or watch the kids on the playground pretty much anything you would like at a park. Nice day I would recommend this park for anyone that would like to get out an enjoy the day. There are bathrooms. Oh and lots of friendly squirrels. Enjoy!!!
Natural beauty of the Live Oaks and Spanish Moss is here at White City Park. Fishing and relaxing is why you come here.
Great spot to Launch a kayak from. Never had issues with theft from my truck. Call a local kayak tour guide to see parts of the river that are almost untouched. KAYAKS AND STUFF OF THE TREASURE COAST knows this waterway very well
Beautiful old, moss-covered oak trees & if youre lucky youll catch a glimpse of a gator!
I have been going to White City Park since I was a kid. This park is so pretty, and has nice shade. I love that it is right on the water .
One of my favorite and most scenic in fort pierce, great place to find peace from it all
This is a very nice place to go visit, sit at one of the many little pavilions have a picnic lunch and enjoy nature. Theres fishing and a boat ramp. They added new restrooms. Its not real easy to get into with the ongoing road construction, but well worth it.
At this time they are working on the road in front of White City Park but its a nice place to fish take your kids and youll also see the alligators in the water
I grew up coming to this park to play, to fish, to crab. I have always loved this park. Its always soooo peaceful.
The park is clean now that there re doing it
One of my favorite patks in St. Lucie County with a decent boat ramp. You can take the waterway up to 5 and 10 mile creeks or all the way out to the ocean via St Lucie Inlet.
Park has been redone. Construction on Access road still but not inside park. Beautiful, quiet seems untouched. Amazing place to feel like the busy world outside of there has vanished. Clean bathrooms. I wish camping were allowed.
Great place to relax
Beautiful park with lots of shade, and place to picnic with the family or friends. KEEP IT CLEAN PEOPLE.
Beautiful park to look at wildlife, a little playground for the kids, lots of open land, great for a picnic, and able to fish.
Just went on and airboat tour (with southern style airboat tours) here ! Such a beautiful park
Except for road construction, always clean well manicured. Great picnic areas
Very peaceful and queen unpleasant place to visit
Great park. Boat ramp. Fishing. Pavilions.
Love this park just make sure you are aware we live in Florida and there are alligators do not feed the alligators that is how you make them dangerous but they have squirrels and got a playground theyve got boat ramps theyve got picnic areas they have restrooms its just a good place to go and spend the day the construction is the only thing that makes it a little difficult now getting in and out of it but the construction will be done soon and then we wont have that problem
Absolutely love going here. I love walking around and looking for gators. Havent seen any yet but I am determined! Family of squirrels adopted me. I think the nearby roadwork is making the wildlife skittish.
Been under construction for way too l9ng3.
Awesome wild life cant wait to go back
Beautiful
Clean and well cared for. Excellent place to take the kids.
Absolutely beautiful park. One of the nicest around. I read one review about some unsavory types there. As with any park you must be careful these days. Did not see anyone there on our visit. Has a big sign that it is being watch by the police. I am looking forward to going back again.
Good to go fishing and walking around. The park is ok but the playground itself is always hot so need to be careful on that one as well.
Fun place to fish or just relax with a good book
Ive been coming to this park all my life. Ive always loved it. It has a nice boat launch, play ground for the kids, and several fishing peers and docks along the saint Lucie river. When I feel like I just need a stress relief or cool my head its nice to just drive around the park, look at the trees and wildlife. If you play pokemon go theres plenty of poke stops and gyms in this park as well.
Nice relaxing road side park, great spot for catfishing and boating!
Had my friends baby shower here. So beautiful!!!!
My favorite park.. peaceful with big beautiful trees. Clean!!!
What a beautiful park. White City is in St. Lucie county. It was named for the utopian Great White City built by architect Daniel Burnham for the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. The park is located off of Midway Rd which is another reference to the fair. The Midway Plaisance was a wide boulevard which formed the mile-long entertainment center of the fair. The park is part of a string of nature preserves running through southern Ft. Pierce. There is construction going on in front of the park right now making it a little difficult to find the entrance but once you do you are in a nature paradise. The park is filled with old Florida charm. The most beautiful feature of the park is the large oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss. Park amenities include a playground, restrooms, picnic tables, boat launch, and a pavilion. The park is a popular destination for fishing since the park is bordered by the St. Lucie River. If you choose to launch your water craft from the 2 slip boat ramp you can travel down the St. Lucie River, through the inlet, and out into the Atlantic Ocean. No matter the activity I love the bygone feel of this gorgeous green space.
It is a very beautiful place to visit!!
Playground, rest rooms, picnic tables and a boat launching ramp. Great 4 little kids and us big kids.
Pretty place for a short walk or picnic.
Beautiful nature there park is okay but the road will tear up ur vehicle theres pot holes everywhere the fishing dock is dirty and I mean beyond dirty
Nice park you can fish and kids can play they have BBQing
Beautiful place. Very peaceful
Would love to see the drive in a lot more improvement. Pretty rough with all the bumps and holes. Also trash is becoming wose
Excellent for family time, and special occasions, the park features a childrens playground, restrooms, boat ramp, gazebos, fishing pier, senic views and a host of Floridas wildlife including aligators, Manatee, and sea otters.
So happy the County is taking care of this jewel of St Lucie County. The kids enjoyed the playground.
Hidden gem. This is a lovely park. Plenty of places to sit, parking is spread out, so no crowded feeling. This park has a spot for kids, but most of it centers around nature and relaxation. A boat dock, small fishing dock, and lovely waterlillies to enjoy.
Nice peaceful kid friendly park!
Beautiful
Bring camera, great trees. Good place for family pictures
Nice park with river views and boat launch and wildlife and beware of gator signs. First time there, picnic tables & bathrooms.
Pedophiles are all over this Park. Theres a lot of children who are there who play at the Playground. BE AWARE OF THIS PARK! WATCH YOUR CHILDREN CLOSELY, DONT LET THEM GO TO THE BATHROOM ALONE. I saw a little girl going to the restroom alone & I had a talk with her mother. Dont be ignorant like this woman I spoke to, please!
Great place to spend time with your family .
Beautiful park, full of wildlife and well kept, of course the entrance to the park is disturbed due to the road work on midway, but once that is done, it will be back to its original state.
Always a great place for any kind of party, or to just get away.
Love this place.
Beautiful place
Has been a great little party and fishing spot for more than forty years
So quiet and beautiful.
Beautiful trees and opportunity to see alligators.
Nice little park. Has a boat ramp. Water views.
Love fishing there doesnt look great from thw outside but once you get in it is beautiful.
Pretty park but it needs some care
Great park for kids and adults alike. Playground and track to walk, plus fishing and boating.
Its pretty safe for an alligator patk
Country as heck...loved it...animals follow you around ...lots of wildlife...squirrels rabbits...alligators...big crazy fish...simple good time...cheap
Mii go to place I Love It.....
Even in the pouring rain this is a really neat park to visit!
Great for family outting and fishing!
Its great for family and kids. Nice place
A clean park with a boat launch and places to fish you can feed squirrels plus theres plenty of other Wildlife too. A wonderful place to have cookouts and make family memories.
A beautiful park filled with trees a place go fish and many places to sit and talk with people. There is an outside playground that younger kids can play on
I grew up at this park !! Theres a play ground manny beautiful trees a boat ramp tons of places to fish
The beauty of it reminds me growing up near the creek
Great place to relax
Nice park for walking and letting the kids burn some energy
Very pretty, decent fishing, watch out for the alligators though. I gave it 4 stars because the road needs to be graded it is hard on your car.
Nice park but road is under construction, so alot of workers, equipment, and the river is actually closed off. Inside the park is nice with water view. Many gator signs but didnt see one. Alot of jumping mullet. No much wildlife this day. 2 dock overlooks on river and a twisting water impoundment inside middle of park. Not trashy!
Absolutely beautiful and has many private areas to take in the nature, activities, sand, water, lilypads, docks, launches, playgrounds, and wildlife such as birds, fishing and manatees!!
Pretty Kool place to visit lovely quiet park
Nice park for all ages. A little bit small but quaint. even has a boat ramp.
Playground, restrooms, gazebos & pavilions, boat ramp. Drive up parking available. Fishing allowed, beware & dont feed the wildlife.
A rare shady park, with geziboes, a small play ground, and a very calm relaxing atmosphere to it. Wonderful for a picnic or picture taking the park is unlike others in the area.
Nice place
Very quiet and scenic
A nice place to have a family picnic and great fishing spot.
Head north on the river for a slice of old Florida peaceful quiet. Great kayaking, fishing andfamily fun.
Love to go out there with the dogs and watch for the Gators.
