Walking on the board walk along the water was absolutely beautiful. We got to see a few small gators and their dens where they keep their eggs. However, when we left the boardwalk and started the actual trail it was rough. The wild boars there have rutted out alot of the trails. But other then that we enjoyed our adventure.
That’s park need cutting landscape, tree, lawnmower never cut pass two or three years. Map and walking trail not same design get lost and wrong way. Plus number trail pole location wrong direction and missing number. I can’t through block mudding walk on tower for two years. I’m very disappointed I can’t walk through to tower. Need all updates cutting lawnmower, tree going falling apart not safe! I don’t understand state park or city of Fort Pierce project manager never checked inspection. To keep cleaning up updating and block wood on tower. That’s so sadly!
One of my favorite places to be. Please dont feed the alligators!
What a great short hike in beautifully shaded paths and Bridges and even got to see a gator in the pond!
Cool little nature trail.
Wonderful time walking the trails. At the end of the road is the river great fishing with a small T shaped dock. Theres some alligators in the fresh water spring.
Had a great time!! Several trails to walk. Its peaceful and beautiful. Absolutely going back me and my son loved it!!
Great park, plenty of old people around though.
Awesome little spot off the side of the road to take an walk a trail enjoy nature and get away from the craziness of life
Great place for a short walk, about a 1 mile loop. Bring bug spray as it is generally buggy, especially after it rains.
We need more of these quaint hidden spots.
It is a fantastic park. Very beautiful seanery. You can see some wildlife here.
Beautiful, lots of wildlife, bring water, take a hiking buddy, it’s a safe area but almost remote in case of emergency,
Great hike, lots of oak hammocks shady trails, can be wet in areas but very worthwhile and a fascinating homestead ruins just off parking lot. Interactive QR code with info about the history of the property. A must visit in St. Lucie County. Check out my photos and check it out for yourself.
