Over the years, The Vitolo Family Preserve has become a very nice & well looked after park. I have been fishing here for over 20 years.Before it was ever known as Vitolo Park. There are several docks throughout the preserve to fish from or site see. Very close to the primary entrance, there is a very nice 2 story observation station.The only real drawback, is the preserve is also used as a Mosquito impoundment. I believe its designed to control the Mosquito populations.However, in the early mornings & late evenings, the Mosquito & Sand Flies (aka: Midges, Gnats, No-see-ums) are VERY bad. So if you visit the preserve during those times of day or night? Be sure you use Deet based insect repellent. I would also recommend, Sunscreen lotion.Lastly, if you are planning on visiting Vitolo Family Preserve & you use the address shown on this link, you might have trouble finding?This is because, the location marker & address listed for The Vitolo Family Preserve North, really isnt the correct address to the Primary Entrance.This is the, Closest address to the Primary Entrance point into The Vitolo Family Preserve.4374 S Ocean DrFort Pierce, FL 34949Have Fun & dont get carried away by the Mosquito & Sand Flies.
