Super fun! Just a small place, but great customer service and perfectly good bowling. Not very expensive.

Wont be coming back. We were asked to leave in the middle of a game so they could oil the lanes and an employee made a comment implying we were being difficult. Jeanie, who was very sweet, asked us to leave and we understood; it was necessary maintance and Jeanie said they had gotten 10 more people reserved than expected. We had been there from 4-6 (2 hours) and were on our last game, so we werent too bummed about leaving. We got up and went to cash out and one of the ladies behind the counter wearing a ponytail and a light colored shirt said what they couldnt just stop for us to oil the lane in a rude tone. I dont see why the lady behind the counter considered us being rude for doing as they asked and made that comment implying we were being difficult.

It was pretty fun when we went, but we noticed that the last lane (12th) is slanted, and also they say that they cant put up barriers if your over 12, there are adults and teens that arent always good at bowling, so they would probably want guards I get it they get broken a lot but it would be nice to let any age have guards.

Wow! I came here on a Monday night and my son and I were celebrating his birthday surprised it was so crowded! It was fun times playing pool. Great people great fun.

Bowling is always a lot of fun. The place is quite outdated, wish they offered more things like neon bowling, etc. But, overall its decent. The staff is very down to earth & nice.

Took my daughters and my son bowling last night there, my son is 16 months and had never been to a bowling alley before. He liked it, watching his big sisters! He got to play the kids game that spit out tickets and you can get prizes. He got a ball that he can play with in his pool. My girls had fun bowling also! We had a good time and the guys working there were nice too!

This bowling alley has been a fixture of Dallas for many years. For cheap entertainment and easy exercise, its a great place to go. They have snack foods and some hot foods available. There is a game room filled with arcade-type gaming machines, so you can bowl and the kids play the machines or vice versa if your bowling arm wears down. The interior could use some brightening up....or something so it doesnt look so worn-out. We bowled on an alley where the ball return didnt want to return the ball. We were lucky we forgot to bring our own bowling balls because the ones we rented were chewed up and eventually spat out for our continued use. This happened over and over even though the gentleman in charge also tried over and over to make things work. So, although things are aging and wearing down here, they have added a newer operating system to each lane. All is computerized, so you dont have to try to remember how to score a spare or strike. Its all done for you. You just have to bring your enthusiasm and desire for fun. ...and hope you dont get a ball return thats hungry for your balls.

My kids always have fun

I used to love going to this place when I was younger it has always been fun and good on prices .Unfortunately last visit was not as I remembered. It is under new management from what Ive heard and the prices has shot through the roof! For only 4 people during cosmic bowling they charged 12.50 per person for two games !! Also ended up paying over 80$ and the man still asked for a tip .Very rude to do when you work at a bowling alley. I believe this guy should be fired. So unhappy with this place .

Well.. where can I start. I felt like the owner or cashier was extremely racist. Just from the observation of my girlfriend and I. We are both Hispanic and wanted to come have a good time but the atmosphere was not at all friendly.However I won’t be coming here ever again and I will advise everyone about my confrontation because I was very polite and he was very disrespectful.

Accommodated a large group of kids for a mid day Sunday bowl. Thank you. It was enjoyable and fun. They had to put up bumpers AND get the ball ramp for us - never making it seem as though it was an issue. Good place. We will be back.

Starlite lanes sucks hardly can afford oil or lane upkeep and tries to protect their secrets by intimidation and dismissal...officially my least favorite lanes.....probably die to new owners

Cheap, fun little hangout spot for friends to get together and have a little competition. My group and I went last night, and we had a blast. I havent tried their food, drinks or arcade, but the bowling itself is a ball ;) some of the features on the screens (speed tracking) dont work, but it isnt that big of a deal, and at night, they turn down the lights and play some good throwback music. Almost all of the employees look miserable or indifferent at best, but all in all, not a bad place to be on a friday night.

Me and my family came inside the person at the front desk saw us and went to the back and pretended no was their to help us so we waited at least 10 minutes and ringed the bell and no came the environment wasn’t very friendly they were extremely racist

Great small town nostalgic experience. However, the pins needed to be reset half way through our 2nd game and because of this it was messed up until someone threw a strike. Also, their card reader is confusing. Boyfriend ended up tipping much more than he meant to. Overall it was a positive experience though.

I think I have written one review in my life but unfortunately my experience this evening at starlight lanes was not what I had expected.I was very excited to visit the bowling alley as I hadnt been in about a year and I had heard that the new owners spruced up the place. After playing 3 games on a Friday evening, my party and I prepared to pay but the prices were not as advertised. Everywhere I looked the prices per game at the most expensive were $3.50. After a couple of us looked at our individual totals, we asked why our total was shockingly over $87.50 for 5 people. We were told that the cost per game was $5. The shoe rental was $2.50 per person as advertised and expected but the $5.00 per game price was nowhere to be found. When we pointed this out to the gentlemen working at the counter, they said that the prices were posted on their website. I have never in my life heard of a business enforcing prices that are not posted in their business. When our party told the supervisor that we would not be paying prices that were not advertised, he threatened to call the police on us. That was extremely mortifying to me as I try and give the best customer service to this community and to receive such terrible service was very saddening. I have a little 5 month baby and was excited to have a night out with my family that I dont have the opportunity to visit with them very often. After a few minutes, the gentlemen working the counter brought up the prices for January on a big screen which was still not applicable as it is well into February. He had a lot of trouble bringing it up and did not have the page that he was looking for to show us as we had said we would pay the prices if he showed it to us. We gave in and just decided to pay at this point as we had been at the counter for several minutes and has been embarrassed in front of other customers.I am sorry to say that I would not recommend going to this bowling alley as they do not provide excellent customer service and force you to pay prices that are not advertised. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and please take your business to Salem to go bowling.

The karaoke is hard to handle on Saturday’s, it was better when they had “rock ‘n’ bowl” which was music and lights. It would probably attract more people on the weekends if they got rid of the karaoke. Also, they don’t serve liquor.

Fun, small town bowling alley to go to! Many years ago, as a pre-teen and young teenager, all the kids from school and whatnot used to come hang out here and bowl or visit friends while they bowled, hung outside and just chit chatted with friends. Ive had a lot of good memories from this place!It could use some much needed updating though and is a little spendy, but all in all, is still a fun place to go to on random days. Plus, on Friday nights they have a free karaoke night after 7pm until close (though if you want to bowl, it costs $15 for unlimited games until closing- I dont believe they offer just a one game price type of thing during this time as its kind of like a Monty Carlo type of night with several colorful lights and the main lights mostly off). But my pre-teen kids absolutely LOVE going there to sing karaoke wherever they can and are still allowed to even if theyre not bowling!!!!Unfortunately, theres not that many of people who take part in the karaoke, maybe a few here and there, but its typically just my kiddos singing up a storm heh.Anyways, this is a fun, low key place to go and hang out. Not typically busy, that Ive ever seen in the most recent years, but Im sure they do get pretty busy (and full) on days where they have teams play or whatnot.I definitely recommend going here.
