Great to find a discounted Cinema! Love the choices! Very, very clean everywhere! The prices for concessions are still super overpriced, though.

I’m not sure how they keep this place running for such a low cost, but the place is great. The seats are comfortable and can recline slightly. The movie we watched had no people at all in the theater so we could put our feet up. The bathrooms are clean, and the staff is nice. The movies that are played are still very relevant and worth watching. It’s kind of odd to find because it’s off the main road and behind a bunch of other buildings, but otherwise it’s easy to find, nice parking, would definitely recommend.

Yo! For $20 you can get 3 $3 tickets, some popcorn, a couple drinks and have enough left over to play the motocross, alien shooter, space Invaders or Batman driving game. This is my favorite place to go with my kid especially if I need a cool place to relax after going out all day with him to a park etc.

Okay experience...Kinda thrown off that a place who offers Pepsi products didnt have Pepsi...Decent prices, yet cheap (uncomfortable) seats.However, the girl at the concessions counter was nice. Not sure if Ill be returning though.

I really dont know why people dont go to this discount cinema?? Its friendly staff, clean, smells clean (bathrooms were immaculate) not that dank old theater smell either. The downside was that two people were working the counter and the guy was busy helping us but the lady was jabbering with some guy and they had pre popped a bunch of popcorn.. If you have such little business make the popcorn in small batches so customer has a great experience with fresh hot popcorn and your not wasting product and selling substandard popcorn.. People come to the movies for the popcorn!! If they can fix this it would definitely be a five star visit.Thank you for the reply, Im not saying that it wasnt popped that day. Im saying it was old and could be popped at the time the movies are starting.. The popcorn was chewy and cold.. Again I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to comment. The seating has been updated in this theater and is very nice now! The popcorn is good but just as pricey as the more expensive theaters. The bathrooms definitely need to be updated next! But for the price you really cant beat it. I will definitely go back!

It had been a while since I had been to this theater. Overall it was a good experience. The movie looked and sounded great. Maybe a slight issue with the top right corner of the screen.... My only complaints would be this...the popcorn was okay, but full of crumbs, like the bottom of the popper was scooped into the bag...and the seats...while I enjoy the option of being able up raise the armrests, there seems to be these little hooks that can poke you in the back when theyre raised especially since the seats kind of rock when you lean back in them...Its nice to be able to see a movie and it not break your bank!

I saw the movie Queen and Slim. I enjoyed the movie. The theater wasnt crowded and the seats were clean no trash everywhere. I still think that $3.00 for water is too high. But overall it was a good movie experience.

I was very pleased with this theater! The lines were short and the service was great. The concession prices are less then other theaters. My total for a medium popcorn and medium drink was $10. I really liked the seating also. There was more leg room then other theaters . The total movie experience was fantastic and I only spent $13!

A nice place to go and quiet and cheap

My mother used to bring me to this theater when I was a kid and now I bring my son. We love it!Since new management took over some time ago, Spotlight Cinema - St. Andrews has been transformed into a clean and tidy theater with friendly staff and tasty, fresh concession treats. The seating is comfortable and the picture and audio quality is superb. At $3/ticket, you cant beat it!!!!

A hidden gem. Since new ownership took over and renovated, the facility is very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be back.

When you need something budget friendly but still want the movie experience, this is it. I could rent or buy the movie and watch it at home but my daughter and I like to come here when we need a break. Its affordable and laid back and not insanely busy. It not updated or fancy but its been around since I was a kid and I enjoy taking my kid there now.

We really enjoyed it! Friendly atmosphere. Good movies. Wont break the budget (3 movies at 3 dollars a ticket would only be 9 dollars per person total for triple feature). Popcorn is expensive but after several free refills not too bad. It is really delicious with the butter! Free refills on soda too I think. There is a $5 minimum on credit/debit card purchases so bring cash if taking in a movie solo after work since only $3 or if you forget to bring cash maybe find some person walking in at the same time you are and offer to buy their ticket to make the $5 minimum then surprise the person by getting a ticket for their kid too. Lol Never know what a random act of kindness might mean to someone if you have to spend the extra money anyway. I think that line of thinking is what Jesus would like. Just an idea...

The refreshments were FRESH...FRESH CRUNCHY popcorn, FRESH CRUNCHY nachos. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it compared to some of the other places to catch a movie. The theater was nice, neat, and clean. The staff was patient, friendly, and eager to serve. We will return

If you havent visited since before the renovation a couple of years ago, you must give it another chance. Unlike back in the day, the place feels clean, safe and family friendly. Moreover, you can not beat the $$ value (tickets and snacks). If youre not the sort who has to see a movie as soon as its released, this is the venue for you.

This theater has been upgraded and is very nice! It is clean and has comfortable seats. Concessions are more reasonably priced than the regular movies. The staff is friendly and helpful. $3 tickets make it fun to go to the movies without breaking the bank.

You cant beat 3 dollar movies. We saw secret life of pets 2. The popcorn and drinks are high priced, $4.00 for a medium coke, but the ticket price is not $10.00 and for $1.00 extra you get a refill. Better than other theaters. Seats are comfortable, though not recliners.

Always clean, very inexpensive, always have a good time.Youve got to wait a couple of months after a new movie comes out before it gets to this theater, but tickets are only $3 each, so its definitely worth the wait.

Nicely redone theater with heated reclining seats. Initmate cozy seating and the popcorn was pretty good ( and vegan). Screen quality was great and they had some good movies playing! I didnt pay for the ticket but Im sure its reasonable. We would recommend this place.

Havent been here in years and started googling what was playing at the Spotlight Cinemas. There was a movie that I wanted to see, so I made it a late date night with the kids. I loved the new look of the place inside and the atmosphere was just right. Oh did I forget to say that they have RECLINING SEATS. Oh yes I will be back and let others know about the Spotlight Cinemas.

Aladin was a work of art! I love this theater! I get the kids box of popcorn, M&Ms and a Soda. The audience was full of kids but they were very well behaved and the sound wasnt too loud. Great experience!

Under new management who fixed the place up. Soda tastes the way that it should, the popcorn is fresh and better than the other theaters. Movie still only three dollars and pretty current. Lots of parking. I will return again and again.

The seats were uncomfortable and cramped. Aside from the light of the movie, its hard to see the steps when I had to go to the restroom. Its a great budget when I dont have the funds for the expensive theaters.

Great surround Sound effects and good screen play

New owners that have completely renovated the entire theater. They fixed the bathrooms with new stall doors and they have soap and paper towels. (Previous owner never provided soap and some stalls did not have doors.) They also allow you to pay with credit cards now. (You had to pay cash with the previous owner.) They have changed the movies to digital now. (Previous owner was reel to reel. We had the reel melt and split twice while we were watching a movie there and had to wait for them to fix it before we could finish the movie under the previous owner!) They have also replaced all the seats and curtains on the wall. The new seats are great! Rocking reclining seats with movable arm rests, just dont sit in front of someone if you want to fully lean back. The cost is $3 per ticket for all ages. Love the combo deals at the snack bar. You can get a large bucket of popcorn with two large drinks for $14; that includes one free popcorn refill. You can also get drink refills for $1 or $1.50. The movies they play are starting to leave the big theaters, so they are relatively recent movies. However, if the movie was very popular in the big theaters, they will run them for longer weeks, example is Captain Marvel is still playing here. We went to see the new Marvel Phoenix movie this time. We love going here now! No more broken seats or broken bathrooms and so much cleaner!

Its hard to be dissapointed or impressed with a $3 theatre. Im very glad its there as its a great alternative to spending $10-$15 on a movie I might not like. Concession prices seem to be a little better than other theaters but the selections are not as broad. Its a $3 theatre. You get what you pay for and most blockbuster films are there 4 months after release.

We came with a group of eight people. It’s a good value for the price. I was especially impressed with Jalen who was working the concession stand. He was very polite and helpful. This is a great place to take the family because they make going to the movies affordable.

Josh was a great help and truly enjoyed the new seats and setup. Def. the best theatre in Columbia. Hands down.

I have been coming here since I was a child and I always found this to be a great value and a great way to kill the hottest part of the day during the summer. Tonight was the first time since the seating was redone and I was very pleased. Do not get me wrong, there are no recliners like the much more expensive theaters but the seating is comfortable and you couldnt possibly encounter a problem viewing the screen. I would also like to add that the staff here is always very polite and willing to help in any way. Keep it up.

Great place to watch second run movies. Prices a lot less than 1st rum features. Concessions also less money. No fancy seats but a good place to go for inexpensive entertainment.

Ive always loved the dollar theater because its a cheap way to spend time with your family and/or friends, as long as youre okay with being a little late to viewing new releases. I love this theater even more now because they remodeled it to give us the full movie experience at just a fraction of the cost!

I’ve been going here since I was a kid. It’s a good value. They’ve recently cleaned it up. It’s a nice environment. I’m deducting 2 stars for the 20 minutes (not an exaggeration) of commercials before the movie at my recent visit. Not previews. Commercials!!

We called this the dollar movie back in the late 80s. Its still very cut-rate, just $3 for an evening movie. Its much cleaner inside than it used to be, but it just cant compare to the theaters with recliners and state of the art sound systems. Seems like a safe place for teens looking for something to do that doesnt cost much, though.

Best family entertainment value in the entire State. The theatre s are newly remodeled with comfortable seating and big movie screens. Theatre is clean and also the bathroom. Concession prices are very reasonable. This is where you can bring the entire family to enjoy a good movie, have some snacks and popcorn and sodas. Great job folks.
