The seats are heated!My first time at AMC on Harbison. Very pleased. Due to Covid, had to order my tickets online and pick seat. Sightly difficult, since Ive never been there, and the seating chart online was poor. But the staff was friendly, the business was almost empty for a Friday, and the theater was so comfortable and clean! Very pleased, will be returning.

This place is filthy! We have A List membership so we go at least once a week. Over the last two weeks, we have visited four times. In the four times we have been there, the same trash has sat in the same place. One of the movie posters has fallen out of the casing and they simply replaced it and left the other one lying on the ground. There is litter all around the outside.There are stacks of boxes lining the hallway and some of the entrances to the theater. I think they are 3-D glasses. The trash cans are always overflowing no matter whether its a matinee or last showing. The main ladies bathroom always has an inch of “water” around the base of the toilets and several stalls full of paper, seat covers or waste. No one cleans the butter stations on a regular basis. There is always popcorn all over them.The theater was redone about a year or so ago to accommodate the reclining chairs. The cleaning in the theaters isn’t adequate and the seats have trash in the drink cups, oil on the seats from popcorn or whatever.If I didn’t have the membership, I wouldn’t go back.

I was hesitant to go back to the theaters after the pandemic, but my husband and I decided to check it out. If I didnt feel safe we will leave. The theater is nice inside. We ordered some popcorn and soda. We was given butter and salt for the popcorn in separate condiment cups with a lid, straws, and napkins so we didnt have to worry about the spread of the virus. We couldnt use the self service drink machines, they had to fixed our drink for us; which should be expected. (You have to wear your masks the whole time while in the theater except when eating or drinking even while watching the movie). When we went inside the theater there was only two other couples there. The theater is operating at only 40 % capacity. When we purchased tickets online the seats on both sides of us was automatically blocked, so we didnt have to worry about anyone sitting beside us. The row in front and behind us is separated by a wall, so we didnt have to worry about the spread of the virus from anyone in front or behind us; and there is plenty of space from the seats to the wall. We had the whole row to ourselves. The seats were clean and looked clean. The theater was very clean. I felt safer from getting Covid-19 there than I had any other places I had visited.

If you are looking for a nice place to see great movies, than this is the theater that offers a nice, authentic, movie-going experience for the entire family. Its also the perfect place to have a fun night out with friends as this theater shows late night movies for those who are night owls. They show both Digital, and 3D movies, which if you have the cash to do so, Id recommend going for the 3D experience. Are you worried about the cold theater? Well worry not, because they also have heated reclining seats. You can relax and warm up to a nice movie with all the popcorn, hot dogs, candies, and other food items that you want to eat. One last thing, for all adults out there, age 21 and over, there is a bar where you can have a variety of drinks made that were inspired by the movies youve come to see. Its fun to see what different types of drinks are made from a specific movie so if you have the time, you should definitely come and check out the bar. And if you pay for premium card status, you can get tons of perks like birthday gifts, discounted movies, and front of the line privalages.Now, if I were to complain about one thing while at this location, I should probably mention the price for the theater is pretty high. Not to mention the food here is also rather pricey in general. Though, I guess I do understand that this is a rather upscale type of theater, especially since they do a lot more as a theater with those heated recliner seats, so I guess I would understand those prices. Though I would keep this place as more of an occasional outing rather than a constant visit. I do love the nice sitting area that they have, but is a rather small area for people to sit. There doesnt leave enough room for people who just want to sit by themselves versus people who are in large groups that want to take up a large area.Conclusion, would I go to this movie theater again? In a heartbeat! This theater is just too amazing for me to give up on, as long as I go to this location as an occasional luxury place of choice.

Good theatre...needs a good cleaning though.

Visited a few weeks ago to watch Birds of Prey . I drive from the opposite side of town to this theater for the welcoming atmosphere and stellar customer service. Even during peak times the snack lines move fairly quickly and the employees always have a friendly disposition. Chelsea in particular regularly jumps in to help lines move efficiently ensuring we get all the proper snacks and recommends great seating when we’re a little indecisive.

This is the best theater in Columbia, hands down. Comfortable, heated, reclining chairs and a small auditorium make this one of the best movie-going experiences Ive ever had. After ordering on the app, an attendant brought our concessions to us during the trailers - no standing in line! The theater itself feels brand new, with a chic, modern design and spotless furnishings. For the first time in a long time, going to the theater felt like an adventuresome outing. Ill never go anywhere else.

Checking to see if it was open yet and its getting close cant wait to see when it opens

This is the only theater within miles that shows closed caption movies. They do this once a month.

2 people @5pm on a Sunday cost $30. Simple ticket purchase on Fandango. Nachos w/ cheese and salsa plus Lg drink was $15. Restrooms were clean, stocked and pleasantly odorless. Seating was well lit and easy to spot. Seats roomy but comfy. Movie previews started on time. Movie began 25 mins after that.

First time being back in the AMC in a few years, and the renovations are pretty energetic and modern.The atmosphere was extremely laid back on a busy Friday night, and everyone was light-hearted, from the staff to the patrons.Drinks are self-serve and the refills are free, which is a huge plus.The reclining seats are snug and warm, and the sound is powerful within the theater.The prices are what the prices are, so prepare beforehand…Wonderful experience from top to bottom.

AMC has saved this place. Love everything about the makeover. The best theater in the area by far. Their heated recliners are probably the best addition. Way more comfortable than the otherplace on Bower. The sound system upgrades are stellar, probably the best audio Ive ever heard.

I come to this theater often enough and usually love it. However, I reserve seats for a reason. If I let a manager know this, I expect them to do something about it. I dont care how uncomfortable it makes someone, move them. My friend and I got our tickets right before the movie started and there were 0 other occupied seats on the app. There were at least 10 people in there though, probably from other movies.

Went to go see rise of skywalker opening night here, the movie was great, the theater was not. the screen was half red because of the exit sign that was hanging right next to the screen. everyone in the theater had to rattle their plastic bags so instead of hearing the movie i had hear the plastic bags . The theater had assigned seating so i had to sit next to a woman who pulled out a candy cane and started sucking on it loudly in my ear, she also laughed during very emotional not funny scenes (being vague to not spoil the movie to others who have not seen it yet).

Very good movie showings, very good pieces, VERY GOOD SEATS. Let me just elaborate: EVERY SINGLE SEAT IS A RECLINER. Its so comfy ️. Good theatre.

Parking is awkward placed but the renovations are nice. They offer more food but still pricey. The seats are very nice and are heated if you want them to. You can recline. Just had a problem with someone being in our seats and then someone being in their seats even though they were assigned. Look at you tickets people!

This was my first visit here and it was really fun, I enjoyed the heated seats and being able to put my feet up while I watch the movie. Very comfortable experience and we will be back! Awesome staff also!

Wow, this theater has come a long way from the last time I visited. Reclining theater seating, full size bar, surround sound, everything that the modern movie theaters offers. Its nice having another reallt nice theater in the Harbison area.

Movie was good but our seats were dirty with greasy hand stains clearly visible all over the leather seat. My husbands heated recliner heating did not work at all. Everything is very very disorganized we had no idea where to go once we got inside because of the amount of people and no one directing anyone. Almost waited in a 30 minute line because we didnt know where to get our online ticket scanned. The entire theater overall was kind of dirty.... Ill stick to regular recliner seat theaters or just a regular theater.

There was a smoke like haze when we walked in, someone mustve burned something. The popcorn condiment stations need to be cleaned badly. The people working were nice, mostly young students. The front and center previews were messed up, there were weird colored lines down the screen. Movie was fine though and the reclining seats are great.

Took my aunt there from Orangeburg. Great leather reclining seating. Food was delivered to us. Now thats what I call service. Restrooms were clean. Parking was great.

Its just very awesome...u can even buy a beer here too. The sound is outstanding, I could feel the base in my chest. Loved the chairs... they fold back like a lazy boy... Cant wait to go again.

I went and saw The Gentlemen last night, great movie and great theater. The theater could have been staffed a little better to accommodate the seemingly large number of people that were there last night, but overall it was a great experience.

I like the kind of seating they have. Their seats are more comfortable than Regal at Harbison. However, tonight was freezing in there and the heaters in the seats arent working like they used to. I only pay the higher price because of the heated seats, so I feel like I was ripped off a bit.

Please fix basin tap broken since my last visit.. can do better for a refurbished facility....took 20 mins to buy candy...popcorn always on the floor. ..the music system and seats and the screens are the best in town!

It was great! I loved the reclining chairs and the food! I had a really good experience, u would definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves to see movies as soon as they come out.

Restrooms were gross, pretty sure someone puked all over the toilet(s) in 2 different stalls. The reclining seats arent quite as comfortable as local competitors but they do heat, however the temperature was comfortable enough to not need. But would definitely go again in good faith the restroom was just a 1 time ordeal

Love this theated!!! The staff are so so sweet!!! They tell you about special deals, they treat you with respect. Its always clean when I go there and the snacks seem to be fresh. I dont have anything bad to say, the restrooms are also clean. My children and I enjoy this location

Had two rooms for 20 days and all was perfect staff were very professional and just plain nice. Including Kiki for breakfast and housekeeping. Will absolutely stay there again. Breakfast and social hour dinner was delicious.

The manager Chelsea is excellent. If someone is in your reserved seat, Chelsea, wont hesitate to assist in anyway that she can. That girl is going places! She and the staff are always delivering service with a smile. The lobby is always clean. The theatres are always clean. The food is delicious! The bavarian legend pretzel is great to share with friends! There icees, hot dogs, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks are delectable! All of the food is well worth the price! All of the staff are friendly everytime I arrive. I refuse to take my business elsewhere!

Not as nice as theater nearby. Very hot which is unusual for the movies. The friends we had with us even complained about the temperature. Theater was dirty tried out because it was about $1 cheaper per ticket. Recliners did have a heater which may be useful in the 1 week of winter we get in SC but not as comfortable as competitors recliners

Dont buy tickets. They dont check at the door at around 9 p.m, at least for when we went there. Everyone just walked in, while we actually played for our tickets.

The last time we were here, we were impressed with how well the place was being taken care of. However, tonight’s experience (a Tuesday night) was like being in a totally different place. The theater hadn’t been cleaned (greasy fingerprints on the seats, liquid in the cup holder, etc) and the women’s restroom near the front was also not in great condition. I dunno. I’ll probably give it another chance because it was so nice the last time I was here, but the cleaning staff needs to be more attentive.

I ordered my ticket online which made it very quick getting in to the theater. Had a short wait in line for popcorn and drink, but the lady that got my food was very friendly. The reclining seat(with heat!) was comfortable but had not been cleaned from the previous user because there was alot of popcorn in the sides of it.

Usually a great place. We arrived at our seats 10 minutes before starting time, had to get our seats cleaned full of popcorn and greasy seats. Bathrooms were a mess, hopefully it was only due to the fact that they looked under staffed.

Tickets are decently priced and it had all the standard movie theater stuff including recliners. Also they had chicken and waffles. I didnt try it but it looks pretty good.

Nice place but bring your wallet. For 2 people and 2 large drinks and 2 large poocorns is 52 dollars. It was a whats called prime showing with better surround sound and vibrating seats but honestly i dont remember feeling the seat moving. Seats did electronically recline and were very comfortable.

Matinee prices are super reasonable for having such great seats! I can over look assigned seating when the seats recline and have heat! They show new movies but keep some a bit longer than other theaters too. I love how convenient the theater is to the mall, dining, and the many shops of Harbison Blvd. The staff has been friendly, its kept clean and has a nice selection of movies and food/beverage. They also serve beer and other beverages for adults. This is my theater of choice for Columbia visits.

Love the heated armchairs here! Only downside is I snooze through a little bit of every movie I watch here!

Screen went green during first trailer! Literally missed all new new trailers due to malfunction! I love the trailers and kind of upset I missed them. Movie started right away with no issues though so thats a plus! May return in the future!

Love the theater. I did have to request the movie volume to be turned down and it was. My son is highly sensitive to noise.

The theater is small, but its super clean and modern. It has a full bar, a lounge, and you can order food and have it delivered to your seat. Plus they have the nice, heated recliners.

There is never no-one available to help with any questions. I have been going for 2 Saturdays in a row and cant never find help. You would have to wait in the popcorn purchase line just to ask a question about what Theater a movie is playing in on my purchased ticket.

Very nice movie theater, the place is always super clean, the seats are great, and the employees are super helpful. Seriously, I lost my phone and this employee named Ethan helped me with the seats and looked for it for like a solid five minutes until we found it. Major props to him. Definitely the best in the Columbia area

This place is amazing. I actually ended up here on accident after thinking I had bought tickets for the Regal Harrison, I didn’t even know this AMC existed. Their recliners ads really great and I would say better than Regal because the middle armrest goes up which is nice. The theatre is just a tiny bit further up the road from the other cinema and I will definitely be making the trip from now on.

This theater provided an awesome experience seeing Dark Phoenix. The recliner seats are superb, the sound system is superb as well. It made for a very nice evening.

This is a pretty nice movie theater. It has recliners and heated seats. It also seems like not as many people go here compared to the other main theater in Columbia. They also bring you food and have a bar. Staff seem friendly and attentive as well. I suggest if you want to be able to recline fully do not go to any of the seats near the railings as it was badly designed and you wont be able to fully recline. The seats near the bottom are also a tad too close to the screen that even me who is young and wears glasses had trouble with glare on the sides of the screens and everything was way too close.

Horrible experience at this theater today! Knew nothing about being a Stubs or Stubs premiere member. Was forced to stand in line and almost miss the beginning of a movie, that I bought tickets online to save time, so people that came in 15 to 20 minutes after me could be served as premiere members. If you are going to offer this you need a designated register not every single register. Will be taking my business to Regal.

The actual movie experience is great, once you get in your specific theater. It’s the before that’s horrible. The bar is never open when we come, and the staff doesn’t seem to know the exact hours. Three different times it was closed, 7pm, 9pm, and 10pm. The one time it was open I had to help change a keg and fix the tap system. The cleanliness is another story. Trash overflows and the bathrooms smell terrible. It reminds me of the college bar I worked at 10 years ago. Do better.

My favorite thing about it, is the heated seats!Only issue is sometimes it gets very dirty, but this is typically around close which I understand. Bathrooms need to be checked more often.

Just recently took my nephew to see his first movie here. Turns out, they have something that Regal Cinemas doesnt, HEATED SEATS! It was awesome! And their prices are cheaper as well.

This theater is great! Im an A-list member and it has made planning our movies easy and way affordable. Theres always a great selection of movies with a variety of showtimes. The drink machine is a self serve so you can go back for refills as much as you want. The seats are reserved and upgraded to recliners WITH HEAT! The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Always have a great time here. Heated seats, cocktails, food and snacks are also served too
