I missed my movie because I could not locate the theater in the mall. There were no signs pointing the way, either. I asked someone in Barnes & Noble how to get to the theater. He said I need to go to the top floor of the parking garage. The parking garage was dark and abandoned. I get to the top and I see the theater on top of the other building. Absolutely no guidance on how to get over there. I am disgusted. Its like you guys didnt want to be found.

An older theater, not busy or crowed, with a awesome screen in theater 4. We will use this theater more often. Staff was friendly, and the popcorn was good. Trust google directions even if you think they are wrong. You end up parking on the top roof of what appears to be an abandoned building.

Very old probably from 18somethings. You can almost hear people talking in other rooms. The screen is too high up. Their sound system is ok though. Consider, the other regal in irmo (bower st), the dutch square one or the nick on main st, you’ll pay almost the same.

Absolutely impossible to find this movie theatre at night time. Missed my movie, had to pay more to go buy tickets to an actually decent movie theatre. Will NEVER make this mistake again.

Very friendly staff and a comfy, well-kept but older space. No reclining seats or full-service dinner menu/bar, but thats not what I need in a moviegoing experience. This place has the feel of an old school 1980s movie house, which is part of its charm.

The movie theater was clean inside in the movie was good but it was very difficult to find and the parking lot at night time is dark and gloomy. There are no clear signs to direct you towards movie theater and it does not look welcoming from the outside.

Why do I love? LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. This theater is located atop of what should be the premiere mall in the Columbia area. Cannot wait for the day that this mall is stocked full with cool stores. Ownership! Get it together! youre missing out on a gravy train. The local area is dying for this place to go hard after retail and foodie business. Regal! dont give up, stay around, the locals will support you!

GPS lead me to an abandoned mall. They have that old school theater feel that used to make going to the movies a destination not just a stop along the day. Theyre definitely my preferred theater in the area. Having a friendly and very personable staff makes this a favorite place to visit when Im in town.

This place is completely isolated in an abandoned shopping mall, We were probably the only living species in their. it was completely empty I dont know how they still remain open

Could not find this place. There are no directions anywhere in the mall or outside. We gave up after trapsing around the roof level for several minutes. You will not have customers if you don’t show them where you are. We left and went to another theater out of our way. Very disappointing!!!!!

Ive always loved going to rooftop. It reminds me of the small town theater with the way the staff is so friendly and helpful! The GM is really nice and theyre bathrooms just got renovated.

Filthy. Stinky. Moldy smell. Uncomfortable seating. Hard to get to. Inadequate signs to locate from highway. Handicap access in theater is an embarrassment. Alienates customer on a steel ramp away from other patrons. I only wish I had taken photos. Crazy!

This is a throwback theater that has been a fixture here well before the mall it resides in died a slow death. The popcorn is the best in town. Don’t expect reclining seats or any modern theater attributes. This is how movie theaters used to be and it’s kind of awesome.

Im seeing GRETA and the movie stop continuosly.. but I can tell that at least the manager gave us readmission tickets.. if not I would give 1 star

Its clean, has the standard snacks and it shows all the big movies. The seats are comfortable, and only started getting a little sore butt at the end of a 3 hour movie. Sound and screens are what you expect at a theater. Cant really ask for anything else in a movie theater. Solid.

The audio quality was horrible. The volume was so low we could hear the movie in the next theater playing. The popcorn was stale and burnt. The staff were nice, but I most deffinantly could have paid the same price and got better quality at other regal cinemas.

Its the worst theater Ive ever been in, its horrible. Everything is very old how of the 80s. Not recommended. The smallest screen without light that I have seen. Its a movie theater. I like this one over the other simply because of the nachos. This one tends to b a little more expensive than the other one, but again its always good to have another option to c movies.

Date night is always fun here. As always the snacks are overpriced at all theaters. The seating was good, clean theaters, nice staff. Wasn’t too crowded when I visited so service was fast.

My favorite neighborhood movie theater (sorry Nickelodeon). The Richland Mall may be slowly going the way of the dinosaur, but Regal Cinemas is still kicking. They might not have stadium seating or reclining chairs, but they get a great selection of movies. If youre looking to avoid crowds, matinee movies at the Regal are the way to go. The theater is super convenient to downtown neighborhoods, and the staff is always professional and polite. Im knocking them a star because the theaters are a bit dated, but hopefully this will encourage some updating. Overall, a great place to watch a movie.

It was a ghostown inside the mall, they need to tear it down and make it purposeful for the 2 stores and Cinema that are still there.

This place is in dire need of some updates/renovations. Its tiny, STILL does not have stadium seating, and is lacking in both cleanliness and quality. If ANY other theater is showing the movie that you want to see, go there.

Torn on number of stars: decrepit and antiquated theater, horribly and pushy service at the snack bar (typical theater experience), no one gives a damn about anything, everything is messy and ripped and broken and the seats desperately need upgrading. BUT no one is ever here, even for big movie opening nights. So always viewers choice on seats

Took my Goddaughter to the movies this morning. Regal Cinemas is offering $1 movies (specific ones each week) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the summer. Today we watched Ferdinand! Very cute movie! Suggest to bring a light jacket or small blanket because it tends to get a little cold inside the theater.

Wasnt too crowded.We had perfect seats to view the big screen. Popcorn was freshly made. I put the right amount of butter, at the self serve counter.

Well, theres just a lot of space in the lobby that looks wasted....but it clean enough and ok with projection and sound.

My boyfriend introduced me to this Cinema. I never knew it existed until tonight. There was plenty of parking. The parking lot was clean The theater was clean and the bathroom was clean. We saw Black Panther. The movie was Exceptional!!! My people really entertained with their excellent acting. I am so proud!!! I will be back to this Cinema to watch Black Panther AGAIN

The theater is old and out dated. The chairs are small and uncomfortable. Parking is limited to cars and vans. Our bus was NOT allowed on the roof.No directions are visible to the elevator from the ground floor. Once on the elevator the 2 is the only button that is lit. However, you must push the R for roof to get to the top. Once there, you have to walk through the parking lot to get to the theater. One must then walk up a flight of stairs in order to get into the theater (not handicap assessible.

Trash . In an abandoned mall with multiple blind corners with zero security, in an endless maze of shut down stores. Where murder and robbery are equally as likely as arriving to attempt to watch a movie with your family. Never coming back. Absolutely horrible.

Been coming here since I was a kid and honestly after this experience I think Ill spend my money somewhere else. One, your employees are rude kids with no home training. Two, were trying to see a movie that starts at 1 but yet the theater doesnt open until 1 which makes no sense. This is why online services are putting places like yall out of business. I feel like Im supposed to apologize for inconveniencing them for doing what theyre hired to do. I will not be going to this theater ever again. Thanks for ruining my childhood

Way too many previews of other movies...they just kept going on & on. We werent sure the actual movie would ever start. You could hear the disgruntled viewers, who were ready for the movie to start. >>> DDH

Had a great time. Place is older but very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the movie.

I didnt like how its on the middle of nowhere basically. The seating and everything inside the movie theater was really different in a sense of it being out dated and needs an upgrade . Other than that its just like every other regal movie theater in my opinion.

Horribly place for a theater, mall is run down and one wrong turn will have you thinking you will be main headline on the evening news. No signs to say where anything is, we actually just came home and didn’t even get to see the movie, so wasted money on ordering ticket(didn’t see I could get a reufund til I got home because the Regal app wasn’t working right in the area, go figure) I would go to the AMC that’s just down the street, you can find it and it’s a 95% you won’t get murdered in the parking lot

Wow! Talk about ghost town. This place reminded me of the mall in the 2nd Maze Runner movie. Finally found the movie theater. Go to the top deck of the parking garage.

Please either update this theater or tear it down. Staff are professional and quick. They do a great job but the layout of the actual theater is awful. The way the floor plan is for the seats is just weird. Everything feels old. Its great if you want to watch a movie quietly but outside of that I would just go to another Regal. I expect outdated stuff from AMC. Not Regal. I will say that this was exceptionally clean and the people that work there were really nice. The employees are the saving grace of this Regal.

I hope you know its on the roof because the mall below is a ghost town. Also you have to buy your tickets at the concessions stand and only one register sells tickets. Even if you buy your ticket online you STILL have to wait in a line thats ran by one person who is in charge of selling the tickets and serving the confessions stand. So you pretty much have to be here 30 min early is you want to get food and your ticket before the movie start. Got here 10 min prior to the movie started after it took me 15 min to find is place. Waited another 7 min in a line for the girl at the register to tell me if I wanted to get a ticket I would have to go in the other anoconsessions line....Absolutely the worst system of serving customers Ive ever seen at a movie theater.

As a theater for a cheap matinee, its fine. Finding how to get in it is INFURIATING because google maps shows only a top down view (so I didnt understand I had to drive to the top floor of the parking garage) and the map inside the almost-dead Richland Mall is no more helpful (good luck trying to figure out which doors arent locked and which escalators lead to where you need to go).

Great theatre! They offer student discount without an ID. Also, you have to drive through this super creepy parking garage to get there-but dont worry! Its legit

My first time at this location. I barely remembered it was there. Its decór is a little dated but it suffices. Seven to eight available screens. I only gave a four because the seats were Tight! I had to contort and ultimately sit on almost the edge of seat. I eventually found a semi-comfortable position and enjoyed Wreck It Ralph Breaks the Internet

Very friendly service, but a little slow as theres only one concession stand register. Rather dated, in that no protein snacks are sold, e.g., hot dogs, pizza, chicken fingers, etc. The environment is spotless! Very well maintained! The lighting could be a little brighter to make it cheerier since the carpet is so dark. My daughter thinks its a creepy place, but Im coming to see a movie (even if Im wishing for a hot dog)!

Still full metal retail for ticket prices.In the days of entertainment complexes, Regal needs to think about upping its game.This was likely the last time well go there.

We didnt get to see the movie we want. Online it said 8:30 it started and it didnt start for over an hour so we left.

Theaters okay. Its on the upper deck of the Dead Mall also known as Richland Fashion Mall which from what I hear and its Heyday was very chic and now its just run down falling apart. The theater is worth checking out its clean its fairly well maintained considering the age.

Movie was good but they need to tighten up on the popcorn was not fresh and the soda was flat.

We enjoyed our movie, and the concessions were Fast and Fresh.

This is my favorite theater in Columbia. It still has that 80s/90s vibe that reminds me of going to the movies as a kid. No stadium seating but again, thats part of the charm. Being attached to the Richland Mall doesnt help its cause but I hope it never closes. I can see how it would one day though.

The lines in the concession area need to be reworked. Instead of having just 2 registers and making people stand in line for popcorn, drinks, etc., they should remodel the lobby to have at least 2 more registers and supporting staff. I dont think this theater has had an upgrade in 20+ years. Outside of deciding to come early and eat your goodies 30 min before your show even starts, you can also opt to eat it cold. Neither are viable options. I think Ill resume going to the AMC theater up the street.
