Nice and clean park! Benches and tables for many to sit! Serene atmosphere Swings kinda high! My son need a ladder to get on it Jokes but he got run to get on it! Im 55 and have to jump up to land on the seat! Would be nice if they lowered them! The park is for our lil ones.

This is beautiful wooded facility with a small stream flowing through the park. There are tennis courts, all-weather running track, baseball field and playground. The tennis facility has 6 hard courts and 14 clay courts.

Its hard at first to figure out where to park. I didnt feel comfortable with the reverse angle parking where Google Maps directs you to do. I had to follow the perimeter streets of the park and I found the parking lot on Sunset by the Y. Otherwise, its a nice park; with creek views, fields, and a track.

Nice place to run around the track or just take a leisurely walk with a dog.

Close by with dirt trails around creek. Plenty to do w tennis, fields, and playground. Feels safe during day. Closes from dusk till dawn.

The park has a very nice playground for your kids to enjoy. There is something for all ages. The tallest slides are 3 levels high (approx 20 ft). The park has construction occurring around the tennis courts so if you are using a handicap scooter, please check the accessible paths. It is a nice park overall.

Recently redone and a big upgrade. Nice tennis courts are on the way still.. but you have a great playground for kids and access to the RJR track. This is the place to workout if youre downtown.

Winston-Salem has some of the best parks that Ive ever been to. Tennis, jogging track.

I only spent a short time there with some kids. The playground looked wonderful but too many kids and it seem too risky to let them play

Hanes Park is always a pit stop for the kids and I when were in downtown Winston-Salem. They have a playground that is pretty unique, and looks in decent shape even though its not new. My kids love to just make an hour or so of playing there especially in the big structures. They have a separate little area for a smaller children as well and picnic tables and benches. The one unfortunate aspect is the graffiti squirreled on the inside of the play area. The city really should take care of it

Its in a nice quiet area. Legit playground with oversized ladybug. Tennis courts to spare. And Peters Creek running through it.

My kids love this park new play equipment, public restrooms, and picnic tables for parents to sit at while kids play.

Great place to be. They have a playground, track, tennis courts, open fields and pull-up bars close by. An all around whether your looking to workout or just hangout somewhere.

Great park with a paved track to run around the tennis courts and baseball fields. Great location next to the Y with playgrounds for the kids in the heart of the West End of downtown Winston-Salem. To review the playground only, this structure has some of the biggest slides in town that can be a bit scary or rough on younger kids. They also rely on both stairs and ladders to climb the 3-story structure. They also have a separate smaller playground with a slide for small kids and multiple swing sets. Not an accessible playground.

Nice little bit of everything tucked in the landscape. Tennis (2), Playground, walking path, open space. Right next to the YMCA. Pretty nice.

It was great right up until Covid19 pandemic hit.

Very quaint park, plenty of play space for children and furry children [pets]. The Y is really close by and there is lots of community activity.

What a great place to spend the day! Its got great, well maintained equipment and lots of space to run around. My 2yo had a blast and we loved sitting down at the tables and enjoying the morning.

Recently landscaped and lots of new improvements. Awesome 3 story playground for the bigger kids and a small playground for the little kids, swings, picnic tables. It is a fun park with lots of things to do for everyone.

Clean park. Great slopes to ran or walk for exercise as well as a nice track and bathroom.

Nice park. Took the grandkids for a couple hours. It was hot but we out lasted the younger parents.

A blast for the kids on an unexpectedly nice December day

Hanes park is always a fun experience. They have recently renovated and some work is still going on but the improvement has been done well and I am looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Great park! Playground is well kept with good equipment, picnic tables around, but most are in the sun. Lots of area to walk around, few soccer fields to run around in.

Love this park with the exception of some characters that like to hang out there and harass people when they are in a bad mood (mental issues?). Otherwise love taking my son there and running the track or park loop!

They had the bathroom open in the part of the track it was clean and had tissue paper in the stalls. Lots of families there. Me, The kids & my mother-in-law had a nice time today at Haynes Park!

Its your average park with a reasonable playing area for toddlers and pleanty of grounds for other activity sports. I say its an average park because there isnt anything out of the ordinary to write him about. Much like many parks these days it could do with a few dollars spent on it rather than council members spending thousands of dinners to talk about doing something.... Just saying.

I love taking my son here. Its great for a jogging stroller (regular umbrella strollers, not so much). He loves the baby swings. I cant wait till hes big enough to play on the awesome playground.

Currently undergoing construction. Play structure is still there and available but there are no benches, shade, picnic tables, water fountains or parking. We had to park on the street. This was June 2018. They should be done with new parking and everything by Sept 18. Took off one star bc I wish they had a sign up saying what they doing or when theyd be done.

Nice playground for older and younger kids. Lots of open space for kids to run with adjacent bathrooms. However, playground gets extremely muddy after heavy rain with poor drainage and ground cover.

When visiting Hanes Park we are heading straight for the playground with our children. The playground is good for kids of many different ages as there is play equipment meant for both under 5s and elementary ages. The 3 story tall slides on the big kid equipment get a big thumbs us from my 4 year old. There are both strap swings and bucket swings avaliable to play on as well as bouncy animals and a sit and spin chair. For the kid who loves nature there is a creek with bridges to cross and lots grass to run in. The only con to this place is that there is no baby changing station in the bathrooms, but they are kept reasonably clean despite being open to the public most of the day.
