Beautiful grounds, plenty of trails. More masks seen here than any other outdoor venue.
History comes to life in this beautiful setting. Garden flowers, vegetables and layout are all mostly as it was originally designed for the Reynolds family. Serene and peaceful. Wander the paths through large hedges, to water features, through trellises and to the curved vine covered shelter or take a break on one of the many white benches. Beautiful summer roses and always exceptionally manicured. Hot spot for prom and wedding photos. Garden shop is great too!
Waterfall could be Beautiful but unfortunately it’s very ugly landscape around it not to mention the trash that’s everywhere. need to crack down on people throwing trash. I got yelled out for picking a fig off the ground one day you need to get your priorities straight
Great place to relax. It has many types of flowers. Little trash, And very peaceful.
Cant wait for the museum to re-open. Gardens were beautiful, though I would suggest going on a cloudy or cooler dat...it was hot and sunny and there wasnt much shade. Still worth it.
Reynolda Gardens is a lovely place to visit any time of the year. Early spring has the tulips and crocuses just peaking out, but the greenhouses are always filled with amazing well-tended plants. The orchids are absolutely phenomenal. There are several short trails that takes one through woodland areas, by the pond, and back out to the main road. This is a beautiful place to have an encounter with nature, right in the heart of Winston Salem.
Beautiful place in Winston-Salem. Peaceful. Saw several people sitting out there just enjoying it. Have seen classes there with social distancing.
My first visit was very pleasant and informative. I want to visit every season.
I love it here!! I walk about 2 or 3 miles per day here and the people are always very friendly. The scenery is so beautiful. A great place to clear your head.
A beautiful place to come visit. They have beautiful gardens as well as vast lands. A beautiful place for a stroll, jog or a simple picnic or maybe just reading a book under a tree. Beautiful, peaceful, serenity. They have beautiful plants and vegetables planted here in the gardens.
Beautiful place for walking & jogging or just killing time. Several different paths cross the property from the gardens proper (& green house) up to the Reynolda House and big open fields. Popular with photographers and dogs. Easy, accessible parking and good restaurants in walking distance at Reynolda shops.
Always love spending time here. The garden are gorgeous, and I can usually find a place to sit and rest. I love it here.
Its just heavenly and beautiful! Such a peaceful and rejuvenating place to walk and be outdoors.
This is a beautiful tranquil area. Lush gardens in an English setting to walk around, also miles of good walking trails, and fields for hiking. Free of charge, so it is a great place to take the family.
Beautiful place to go with your family.
4 is probably unfair. We arrived after 4:00pm so the greenhouse was closed. The outdoor gardens were beautiful.
Very beautiful garden and a great place for a walk.
Very upset with this place! We drove nearly 2 hours to see the gardens and brought our dogs (the website says dogs are allow) but behold our surprise upon arriving when we see a sign saying dogs arent allowed in the gardens. Dont go here if you want to see the gardens with your dog. Its not allowed. They are allowed elsewhere but not the MAIN ATTRACTION! So ridiculous.
I had no idea this place was as large as it is. There are over 1000 acres of land, wilderness, and trails here. I will be back and will take my time exploring in the near future. Also, there is a place that used to be a pond/lake on the property. I really hope it is brought back to its glory from the swamp it is now.
A beautiful garden ...loved the visit
Nice place for walk. Some area though need grooming where washing out trail.
Tranquil place to see some flowers. The gardeners take great care to make it all look great. Its definitely a must visit place in winston for those who enjoy nature.
Great place to get away and relax with some great scenery.
Beautiful place. Very clean and a lot of flowers on this time of the year.
We went on a class field trip and it was very informative. The formal gardens are lovely, even in the fall. There are many people jogging, walking pets (you must have a leash) and biking on the trails. The Gardens are owned by Wake Forest University as part of a bequest by the Reynolds family. There is a working greenhouse and a plant sale is held in the spring. Its a nice place for a casual time with family, friends or even a nice walking date.
Nice place to visit. Shops, trail and Reynolda house.
I hate I waited until the last day of my trip to go. It was simply gorgeous. I am coming back just to really indulge myself
Beautiful garden, plants, and nice park for walking.
Was a great place even in the late winter early spring
Peaceful and beautiful. Its a great place to walk.
Great place to run, walk and talk! Can get in some mileage and not feel bored. Great loop Run/walk several times! Very beautiful and peaceful! Makes a great date day with the convenient restaurants and bars, then take a walk or to relax!
These gardens are wonderful. They are like the Biltmore gardens but a smaller scale. The Reynolda gardens have beauty from spring through autumn. I recommend visiting them.
What a gorgeous way to spend the day! The flower gardens are still beautiful at this late date. The veggie gardens are full of veggies that surprised us. We didnt realize so many veggies would grow at the end of October. The architecture of house and our buildings are incredible.
Great place for taking pictures and taking a stroll.
The gardens were very nice.
Great flower gardens and shops and hiking
The gardens were looking a bit shabby, like no one was responsible for upkeep.
There should be a local fair kitchen in the area to shows off the local produce there, located in the village area, North Carolina fair.
Always lovely. Once caught a proposal at the fountain! Beautiful community place. Make sure to visit the lovely Magnolia. Its not technically in the gardens but right next to it.
Good place to take a walk
These gardens are near Wake Forest University and have a relatively small greenhouse / conservatory along with a beautiful garden area with flowers and vegetables in very pleasing displays. There are also a number of walking trails around the rest of the property. If you love gardens, flowers and vegetables, this is highly recommended. Had a lovely conversation with one of the gardeners - this place is extremely well tended. Beautiful right now as the leaves around the perimeter are starting to turn, and many of the flowers are still blooming.
Kool place very Beautiful
Beautiful place to walk or sit and relax and enjoy the garden
Beautiful gardens and nice place to walk around w your family.
Beautiful and peaceful garden!
Our guide was the friendly and fierce Robin, engaging and full of information. Even parts of the freedom struggle that we we were familiar with (we thought) came alive with photos, artifacts, video, and Robins narrative. She was particularly good, but any live tour will add a lot to walking through the exhibits.
Great place to have delicious crepes.
Lovely public rose garden.
Excellent garden to take pics! Best of all it was free!
Its a cute little place with really nice public gardens and trails with a bunch of little shops. However the shop part is really just jammed in there. The roads dont make any sense. But its a nice place
Learnt so much about the R J Reyonalda families and felt knowing more about the city history itself.
Always a nice place for a picnic.
Fun place to walk around, had a great time
Located adjacent to Wake Forest University, Reynolda Gardens is open during daylight hours and the greenhouses are open from 10-5 most days. Check the website for greenhouse hours during January and July, and on Wake Forest holidays. There are a variety of plants and landscape ideas to see. Definitely worth a stroll through. Near Reynolda Village, so you can visit some unique shops and finish with a stroll through the gardens.
Reynolda is a beautiful place with lots of fun things to do. My favorite are the hiking/ walking trails!
I love a good garden!
This a beautiful garden. The best part is that you can visit for free.
Love this place
Peaceful place..First time with my Husband & I love it
Thank you, Michelle for the tour at the Reynolda Gardens. Amazing Staff.
This is one of the best little gems that Winston Salem has to offer!
One of my gavorite places in WinstonSalem
Beautiful location. Well worth the visit. Formal and vegetable gardens.
Beautiful during the spring and summer!
We love it here. Come once a week or so. The big magnolia tree over near reynolda house is our favorite. Kids love climbing in there.
Beautiful place!! I love it!!
Nice place to spend a day
The gardens are beautiful and a great place to visit after visiting the Reynolda Home. The gardens are free and there were so many beautiful flowers in bloom in July. The tropical flower building was closed in July yet there was plenty to see outside. Next door are shops and the Village area and it is all within walking distance.
Such a beautiful piece of heaven!
Lovely, charming park
Beautiful and historic - a great place to walk and relax.
I love these gardens, the greenhouse, and the shop! I get the privilege to work at the University which is a quick walk away from this magical place. They have classes on gardening guys!
So beautiful and well tended. Although early Spring many blooming plants were in full glory The greenhouse was especially magical
Lovely and historical tour that you take at your own pace. Seeing the artwork is an incredible bonus.
Beautiful gardens and walking paths.
Lovely. Especially in the Spring with the hundreds upon hundreds of daffodils are in full bloom along the road. I wish I could have seen the lake as it was back in the Reynolds family era. Lake Catherine must have been so tranquil. The Village is so very quaint as well.
Very nice, flowers and plants blooming almost year round, plants for sale Monday through FRIDAY till 4
A perfect place for a pleasant stroll through the gardens.
Awesome day adventure
Love going here. A beautiful peaceful place.
No matter the time of year, the gardens are such a wonderful place to take a stroll.
Beautiful gardens! Always kept up well and looks fantastic! Great place to walk and think
Really beautiful. Good place to take older family members. It was at its best in mid May. It was much less impressive by the end of September. Its also free, which is amazing! Could be a very nice wedding venue.
Beautiful and free
Nice place to bring your dog.
Nice place to visit .A good maintained park.
Just gorgeous
What a gorgeous way to spend the day!
Beautiful gardens and shops, scenic museum. Great restaurants, check out the Village Tavern!
Great walking paths
Beautiful place.
My daughter called this a mini Biltmore. It is a beautiful spot and well worth the trip. The house is lovely and easily accessible as it gives you a glimpse of life in a country house if the 1930s. We enjoyed the art as well as learning more about the Reynolds themselves. The gardens, even though in their near winter state were fantastic and we cant wait to return and see them in full bloom. As a veteran and a student, our tickets were free. Id highly recommend this as an easy day out from much of North Carolina.
Loved walking through the gardens and enjoyed touring the house. What a fascinating history it had!
