Winston-Salems Central Park, love this place quiet and beautiful. In the middle of one of the most crowded part of the city. Well maintained with a nice modern outdoor workout area with machines. Sweet.
A hidden surprise! Theres official bocce ball courts, horseshoe courts and a body weight outdoor gym, a small courtyard with stadium seating for outdoor performances and beautiful trails! Its looks well maintained and very clean!
A nice neighborhood park with bocce ball and many other amenities. Heavily wooded in parts, open fields in other parts. Lots to offer.
This was a wonderful park! I brought my dog and we walked the trails which winded through the woods and over a creek. I liked how unique this park was compared to other parks I had been to. Most parks I go to are deep in the woods and you cant see other parts of the trail from where you at, but at this park I could see almost every part of the trail becuase most of it was in on part of the woods which wasnt that thick.
Nice little park with scrubby area along the creek that can be good for birds. Can be busy at times.
Great park with walking trails and workout station and several play areas for children
Really enjoyes the trails and hiw nice the peopke that visit the park were. Also glad that the majority of dog owners had their sogs on a leash.
It was nice, clean ied take my grand kids there to play..
The best still lies ahead of us... beware of gremlins.
Its a nice place to visit. Playground area, tennis courts, lots of space for walking.
I love Miller Park because it has winding trails that you can explore and feel like you are in the woods, even though you are right in the middle of the city. It is clean, with lovely picnic spots, and space to play with dogs and the whole family. The playground is adorable, and fenced in. Im a dog walker, and I frequently bring my clients to explore the trails.
This park is in my top five for Winston Salem, it’s been around for a long time. It has a small but fun playground with swings, slides, a little play gas station, and a smaller playground my son loved when he was two. They built a cool little walkway so you can crawl under the bridge that’s over the creek. They have a baseball field, open fields, horseshoe, volleyball and they have trails and shelters. There is also a recreation center with basketball courts, tennis and ping pong. The rec center is older but still fun, they do have bathrooms and showers in the rec center as well. Love this park!
Nice park a few table in shade! & Bathrooms open!
Great place to walk, several different paths to choose from. Many in the cover of beautiful forest to help with the heat.
Nice clean park, ballfield, trails horse shoes. Good place to cruise.
Nice park. A little small and feels crowded. Needs to have some grounds work to really bring it up. They did have a lot of readily available shelters and other facilities. All of these seemed well maintained for an outdoor park. The landscape and trails are the only parts that seemed to have fallen out of repair.
Great, safe and lots to do.Baseball field, plenty of trails, lots of woods and a nice creek.
I really enjoyed this park! I was there with my husband, dogs, and infant. There are lots of paved walkways, which worked perfect with the stroller. Lots of nice covered picnic shelters. A nice quiet trail along a creek - lots of mosquitoes in that area, though. I did not see a dog park, but there were so many walking paths that the dogs were pretty satisfied!
Good parking, big and clean. Pet friendly, work out path, play ground for kids, rest and grill area. Perfect for the family.
Great quiet but busy park, lots of paved trails through old trees in a city park
Great to park with lots of amenities and offerings
Had a great picnic. tables are a little rough. walkways are great. great neighborhood park for a multitude of activities.
Great place to go after getting hotdogs & friesfrom PB takeout.
Overly indulgent experience...Miller park was a beautiful place. if its not for the outstanding nature trail its the bridges with excellent rocks sculpted for bare feet to explore Gods amazing creations
Very well laid out.
Love that the playgrounds are gated! There a creek running through this hilly, wooded area, so its nice to play freely with tots knowing they wont tumble down a hill or explore the creek. Beautiful walking paths make you forget youre in the city. Rest rooms were surprisingly clean and tidy.
What a gem! Especially in the fall. Clear your mind, relax! A good place for a walk, maybe even bring your pet. If you have any kids, grab a Frisbee and come out and play!
The play grounds here are great. They walking paths are nice too. The only issue is that the bathrooms are closed in the winter.
The renovations to the park are great. A lovely space made more lovely and easier to enjoy.
How does a city park allow a bridge with a huge gaping hole be covered with plywood and a rubber mat?? My husband checked to see if it held his weight and it did but it was wet and flexible. Just not acceptable to me. Trails needed attention also. Its a shame, this place is pretty but looks like no one cares for it at all.
Great short trail for walks with large dogs that need leash training entering off Knollwood. Our huskies take about ten minutes to get acclimated to the walk. Training would have been great had we have done early on but busy schedules negates that. All shaded and runs high above a creek below and you can get back to your car quick by going back up steps. Two loops, 20 minutes walking non briskly with pretty rock stairs with.a landing halfway to catch ur breath. I think all dogs should stay out of creeks right now because of the danger to the bacteria in some. But pretty walk! Lose it app said I burned 168 calories. I watch logged me at 20 minutes of exercise :)Also, if u enter off queen/leisure way, great tennis courts! And cute little playground.
Our favorite walking spot in Ardmore district.
It was a lovely spot of shade with a nice breeze blowing while I finished my Starbucks coffee. People often walk here, the park doesnt offer much in the way of riding trails. But they do have a nice set of horseshoe pits!
Great park to visit!
Nice quiet park through a quaint part of Winston-Salem.
The only reason I am giving this place a lone Star is because the rest rooms were disgusting. I think when u take ur kids out to a park thats the least you can expect ....a clean facility. Now the good part:Nice big shelters, trails, playground etc. Enough parking on both sides of park.Fields could use some maintainance, there was standing water the weekend I was there ....but we did have heavy rainfall the day before.
I love taking my dog here on walks. Its covered by trees and bushes and junk so its always cool. Theres a little Creek that has stairs to it so you can get a closer look if you want. Plenty of places far away from each other for reserved get togethers. Its so quiet and clean
Great trails to walk or run and its never very crowded only a few other people on the trails
I rate this park high because of its features. However, for those that are elderly, or with small children be cautious as there are people that frequent the park that like to leave their dogs completely lose running around without a leash. For those who do not like this post, you are thinking only about yourself.
Beautiful and spacious. Quiet and peaceful.Very clean. Very impressed. I finally found a park that I can now go to and enjoy all what it has to offer.
Nice walks with a lot of places to sit. Bridges and streams to break up the scenery and make it interesting. It has a separated playground area and two baseball fields. Great place for a walk or a picnic
Great trail for a short walk... Nicely maintained
Plenty of trails and sheltered spaces and outdoor theater
Awesome beautiful place to go to the wildlife is very active to mullican the creek and catch crawdads whole family can enjoy a very fun day there safe place to take your kids my step dads been going there since he was a kid and he introduced us to the place very great place to go and lots of fun activities to do with the children
Great park. Very nice playground. There are some games with sensors and lights that the kids really enjoyed (and I did too)! There are a lot of nice trails that connect several pavilions. There is an outdoor theater that my kids enjoyed playing at. They even stated to put on a dance show. A nice small creek runs through the middle of the park.
Seems as though the park has been forgotten. Seems unkept and overgrown. Nice walking paths. Need more dog waste bag dispensers and waste containers.
This is a beautiful little park with lots of big old trees and walking trails.
Miller Park is a pretty nice park! Location is nice and it’s reasonably well maintained. When I went several of the paths were closed for construction, and some of the walking bridges they were putting in seemed very nice. One of the baseball fields was not in the best repair (and had a large puddle). Otherwise it was great!
Beautiful park!
I love this place! Its such a nice place to go for a walk. I like to come here and clear my head.
Great playground - fenced, shady, big areas of rubberized mat for scooter and trikes. Plus the park has trails, streams and bridges for exploring.
It’s really amazing place to fun with friends and family’s
Good trails if you dont mind the inclines. Soccer field and baseball field are well maintained. The playground is always clean and it has the nice cushy rubber stuff. Love the tennis courts. You can grill out in one of the many shelters. The trees make it pretty shady and cooler than being under the sun.
A lot of obscene drawing and graffiti on picnic tables
Great local park to take a walk!
Great walking path, beautiful scenery, close to the house, 3W
I come to the park at about 6:45 in the morning and it is the best place to fly a drone because at that time there is no one in the park. Also it looks like they are doing a little construction to the park and Im not really sure what they are doing but all in all its a great place to go. I highly recommend this park.
Our girls love this park. My husband and I love that it is fenced in so they are contained and cant be too far away! LOL! In the afternoon, most of the park is shaded, which is really nice. We definitely enjoy coming here as a family and will be back for sure.
Peaceful place
Just stopped by to let dog out
Play more Pentaque. Excellent play surfaces. Gary keeps grass cut well.
Great place to picnic
I like the walking trails here. However right now the park is under a lot of construction and is a bit of a mess. Its very quiet and pretty. Loads of trees so no walking in the sun. Lots of open spaces for sport type activities. This park is more grown-up oriented so I wouldnt recommend it for parents with small children.
Very nice, quiet place to walk around or enjoy lunch. It has picnic shelters that can be rented through the WSFC Parks and Rec department.
This park was really clean, quiet, and in a nice area. They could definitely stand to update the park
Our first time there and we loved it!
The path could use some cleaning off from sticks and debris but otherwise it is a nice walking area with shade.
I love the shaded play area for my children. It is always clean here and tucked away so the traffic noise is not an issue.
Nice scenerys good place for your family
Miller park has a nice small, fenced in, play area for children.
I absolutely love this park, there are trails for walking, various shelters for picnics and a get together with friends and loved ones. There is a large playground for the little ones as well as three tennis courts and a community center hosting various events. There is some construction going on now that has limited the areas you will be able to enjoy, be patient and lets see what new things are coming to this wonderful park in Winston Salem!
This park is near my job. I go there for my lunch break to either eat or go walking. It is really shaded.
This is one of my favorite parks in Winston. The trails are pretty and wooded with lots of picnic shelters, tables and benches. The playground is well maintained and hosts a lot of birthday parties. Its really close to restaurants and coffee shops, so Ill bring my lunch here for a quick, quiet bite.
Good spot for picnics or walking the dog
It has a very good walking trail
Word of caution: Myself and others have noticed that predatory people tend to use this park to loiter and watch children. Be careful.
It is a quiet wooded area in the middle of a noisy busy city with walking paths concerts.
Beautiful place to hang out and great for kids.
It was a good adventures walking thru the park.
This is a very nice park that is rich with history. You learn a lot about the early settlers of Winston-Salem. This makes it both fun and educational. Great place for a walk or family picnic. If you play Pokémon GO then this is the place to be. There are many gyms and pokéstops. You should have no problem getting an EX Raid pass here!
I love going here to catch Pokemon and to excerise. Its a safe fun place to jog.
Very lush, green park, however, some of the walkways are a bit craggy and could cause stumbling if one is not careful. Also, a great place to play Pokemon Go and spin a nice circuit of stops.
They did a great job to remodel the park.
Nice, clean, roomy store! Great variety of product, Customer Service is good too!!!Overall, I love shopping there!
Nice place to walk your dog
I love this park! The great paths, baseball fields, basketball courts, they have playgrounds and covered picnic areas. This place has everything a park should have.
Awesome place to take the kids of any age, two sections of the park; one sand, one soft touch rubber composite ground matting. Very clean and quiet. Walkiing trails nearby.
Beautiful park. They have the best outdoor playground my kids have ever played on. Its massive!
Great park, especially in summer. Lots of shade and a padded ground for little kids.
This park is perfect for walking my nervous dog on week nights. You dont encounter too many other people which is perfect for us
Its under construction, but nice park to do outdoor activities at including a picnic that my love and I had.
Beautiful
Great park. I love taking my 3 year old to play the kids and parents are always night at the play ground.
