The mountain bike trails at hobby park are a good challenge. Lots of technical aspects. Only downside is it can be difficult to know which way to turn when the trails cross and turn.

Really well kept dirt hiking trails that aren’t too busy. Fairy hilly but overall an easy hike. I love the scenery here, and at this park is a R/C airplane runway which was super cool to see other people enjoying.

Before you ride Brevard you need to be comfortable at hobby Park... this is the gnarliest ride in the Winston-Salem Greensboro area.

Nice and relaxing place. Would be nice if city would make the pond located in the wooded area more accessible and suitable for people to fish. If you plan to go anytime soon there is some construction taking place in parking area and derby car track area

Although we went to the park to explore the trails, they’re definitely more suited for mountain biking. And there’s also areas for dirt bikes I think? Not sure but lots of ramps and small mounds and such. The trails themselves surround the parking area. From the road, when you pull in, the trails to the left where we explored were steep and rocky, serene, lots of hills, it was fun and beautiful. They also have a whole track for lil airplanes!

Great place for the kids to ride bikes. We went during the pandemic and were able to social distance while letting the kids get out and run. We did not have to worry about the kids touching playground equipment.

I love this park today I saw 4 wheelers, dogs playing, plains flying high is the air. My family especially my kids have the best time at Hobby Park.

There’s something shady going on here. I don’t know what it is, but I will not return. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable by someone in the parking lot, and this was after I had a weird feeling about some of the cars there on multiple visits. Women- be careful coming here alone.

Top notch RC model aircraft flying field, plus 6 miles of mountain bike trails, BMX bike runs, and 2 control-line circles. Nice facility.

Decent mountain bike trail. Somewhat technical and physically challenging for the area. I like that its open until 10:30. Night riding in the winter time is about the only way to ride 3-4 times a week year round and work full time. Only downside are the people who just park in the lot do who knows what in their car. Live and let live I guess?

I was visiting from out of town and looking for a place to run. The park definitely lives up to its name, especially if one is an RC hobbiest. The trails were better suited to mountain biking than running, like someone else said. However, the trails were also more extensive and wood-covered than I anticipated. Overall, the park is attractive and provides the services its name advertises.

I can fly my drone without any confusion

Trails are poorly marked. There are so many areas where the trails diverge that you cant tell which trail your supposed to be on. Then some parts are marked but the posts are confusing because you dont know which trail you are on to figure out which way you need to go to stay on the current trail.Also, some shady activity was present in the rear parking lot. Didnt feel safe leaving my car there.

The trails are not marked very well, the trail is very narrow, and it is way more than 2 miles.

This unassuming location is perfect once you climb the entrance with your car. As the name suggests, there are areas for multiple Hobbys all in one location. From hiking trails to dirt bike trails, there is plenty to enjoy in the wooded areas. Looking for fun in the sun, check out the walking track, dirt bike ramps and fields begging for a game of kickball or a run with the dog. A covered shelter is available for rental complete with picnic tables and restrooms. Fly high with the landing strip perfect for remote planes and more. No matter what direction you look, there are always laughs and cheers in a location designed to bring the community together!

Not much besides the walking trail to do during COVID, also this park is very hard to enter and exit, as the entry hill is very steep. If you get lost easily, avoid the trails here.

Park is pretty clean, bmx trail is pretty complicated though. Great place to for with kids and RC cars! Too bad its not getting too much funding. Even if you dont bring bikes or anything, its still a fun place to watch little (and big!) RC planes whiz through the air!

I had no idea the beautiful jewel that lay inside Hobby Park. All this time I thought it was just for enthusiasts of flying hobby planes and such. However, this trip my son introduced me to the trails. Who knew?! Ive never noticed a sign anywhere indicating there were hiking trails. I loved it! We had a great time walking the trails.

When theres no BMX riders (like on this cold misty March evening) the trails are WONDERFUL for our pups! They have a blast pretending to be bikes zooming around the banked curves

To enter the park you gotta go up a very steep hill. the parking lot is broad and its just some rocks layed around. It has a BMX track between the woods, its pretty cool if youre into that, it feels like the wilderness. It has a track for like little car races and a station for little planes to be flown. Its interesting. It has a big roof with tables for reunions and scheduled events. But it just feels empty.

Great mtb trails. Lots of hills with good flow. Intermediate, but we did okay . (7 n 10yr old)

This is a great place to fly model airplanes, race rc cars, race skateboards, street luge, soap box derby, and mountain bike trail riding. Seams to also be fun for fishing. Not such a good place to take 4 wheelers, or do doughnuts in the parking lot. Also not a good idea to stand or walk in the direction of planes that is very dangerous. Best to stay behind the fence near the flight line if you want to watch the model plane activities, or walk your dog.

Cool little park visiting in town figured I stop by and fly a drone. Was empty but it was also a weekday so... Nice little spot. Clearly meant for planes and trucks but you can fpv some stuff there especially when no one is around

What a trail. 6+ miles

This is a great little park. Lots of space for different hobbies. The mountain biking trails are pretty good. Theres mild ones for beginners and then there is some harder ones that are a bit scary for beginners, but look like fun for those with black diamond experience. There are other great features too like a place for remote controlled cars and an air strip. If you want to use the bathroom you have to rent the pavillion though. Otherwise the only option is a Port a Jon.

Please like if you can rent mountain bikes

Great place to go ride bikes at, many trails for the avid rider to the more moderate rider. There is also a course that has ramps and stuff you can go on.

Very steep hill but very nice park once you get up there. Be careful coming down.

Nice park with open spaces and areas for RC cars and planes. The trails for the bikes are nice enough. Nothing special, but always nice for a quick visit if in the area.

Quite a difficult mountain bike single track

Mountain bike trails are the toughest around. Trails are better than they used to be except at the pond. Very poor on this area.

The park is a great place to fly RC airplanes, helicopters, and drones. Plenty of modelers of different skill levels, and there is an AMA chartered aeromodeling club associated with the field that offers flight instruction. Please make sure you read and understand the safety rules, and keep your eyes out for pedestrians walking across the airfield! The park also has some fantastic mountain biking trails.

Great for running. Wish it had a bathroom though.

Big Park with various activities available. Multiuser trails that cross a stream a few times. An airstrip and field for model air toys. Two circle tracks for model vehicles. However the Park is getting a little run down, and there is a makeshift Port o Jon because the bathrooms are currently fenced off.

Like the name implies, this city park is great for folks with drones or RC planes and cars. Theres a large circular track and wide-open field for you to fly or race your machines, and its not uncommon for several machines to be buzzing around all at once. If youre curious about the hobby or want to meet fellow enthusiasts, Hobby Park is a good place to start.Other than that, theres not much else to do at this park. Theres a picnic shelter, port-a-john, short trail, and not much else. And the steep hill at the entrance and rough gravel parking lot may be too much for vehicles with very low clearance.

Great place to Slalom skateboard and downhill competitions. Fly Remote control airplanes and remote control Cars. Tons of trails to walk/ mountain bike and whatever you want to do!

Really nice place to go mountain biking without actually having to drive to the mountains. However, too many ignorant dog owners with their dogs off leash trying to kill me whilst I ride. Keep your shitbeasts leashed; its the law. And please, for the love of god, pick up after them. Its the least you can do since these trails are MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS, created and maintained by MOUNTAIN BIKERS.

Great trail. Makes you work hard. Shady people like to hang out there after the sun goes down though. In the daylight its fine, but at night I cant say I feel safe at all.

Lots of old men sit around in there. Not sure what is going on with them.They never get out of their vehicles.Lots of guys meeting up with women ect.Some shady looking characters at times.Plus the bathrooms are closed for the Winter

Used to come down here from Maryland every Thanksgiving weekend for Soap Box Derby racing. Hope to see the track back in use one day..

I havent been out here in 17 to 20 years! I forgot how much of a quad burner this could be! The trail has been maintained very well and has stood the test of time. What a fun ride with some very unique characteristics you dont see at other trails (eg the slalom through the gulleys) I got to bring my son with me and show him where I used to ride...I was worried that I over promised, but this did not disappoint. We loved it...and what a great addition with little pisgah! That was a nice treat...cant wait to come back again.

As its name implies, Hobby Park was meant as a place to enjoy hobbies. Hobbies such as flying RC aircraft and etc. Only....more than half of the people who find their way here have no interest in such things and have no respect whatsoever for those who do.Many times every day these people walk out in front of low flying rc aircraft with no regard whatsoever to the fact that they are likely to be seriously, if not mortally, wounded by doing so.SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET VERY SERIOUSLY HURT HERE. And when it happens.....the fools will attempt to sue everyone who was in the park at the time, whether they had a hand in things or not.Contrary to its claims, this IS NOT a good place to bring children. It is FAR too dangerous a place to let children roam. I wouldnt risk my childrens lives by coming here.This park has huge potential to be a great place. But instead, its just a massive law suit waiting to happen. Come here at your own peril.

Just moved in a house in a nearby neighborhood. Thought I would check it out since I like to trail run. It is not for runners. Great for mountain biking/flying toy planes. I wanted to walk around on the trails and this creepy dude followed me around. I almost stopped around a corner and knocked him out.... I guess it makes sense this is the gay hookup spot since I got followed around deep into the woods. Wont ever be going back.

Nice place to stop and eat lunch, theres a huge 10 table pavilion with bathrooms. Very privately located. Theres also a bike trail and rc car track.

Great RC park. Decent trails and plenty of air space. Drag strip and run way also.

Pavement in terrible shape to drive on, not even to walk on. Probably wont take my grandchildren back up there until its safer.

The local ham radio club was here for 2019 field day.

I love these trails so much but saw some disturbing things going on in the trails I got an early notice by a set of clothes hanging on a tree about 2 miles deep into the trail sooner than later alarmed by some people having sex in the trails but the trails are super fun but creepy I am still debating whether or not I should do the trail ever again but the dirt jump track is a great coarse to jump around on.
