We stayed here in the first week in Nov 2020 and there was almost NO enforcement of safety regarding the virus. (I was convinced it would be safe, I instantly regret coming.) There were signs about wearing masks and there were spots on the floor to encourage safe distance, but many people ignored these and no one said anything. There was construction ongoing even in the room right next to us. It was like being in a hotel DURING renovation. Many of the attractions were closed due to health, which is good but also removes much of the fun of being here. There was very little effort to protect people and ensure they have a good time. It was clear they just opened their doors to make some money. We used to love this place, but we will most likely not return for a long time.

I have never been to a Great Wolf Lodge before, but have heard so much about it I was excited to go for my nieces birthday party. My family and I traveled from Charlotte, NC to surprise our family that we had not seen in almost 2 years. When we arrived at the location, I went to the front desk to ask what my sisters room number was and explained to them that my family had driven 6 hours to surprise them. I offered to show them my police ID and state ID to substantiate my story. The female manager was EXTREMELY RUDE, rolling her eyes, huffing and gave me a very hard time about doing so stating that she could not give out the room number, got an attitude and walked off while I was mid sentence, inquiring about what else we could do. She never returned. The other front desk attendants thought it was funny and my family and I ended up having to wait 20 minutes for a family member to come and get us from the front desk.I was very taken aback by the number of individuals that we saw with no mask on just walking around. There were so many birthday parties going on and maskless children running through the hallways that you almost forgot that we were in the middle of a pandemic. The pool area was completely functional and although there was someone at the door with masks, most were not wearing them. Almost every hall had a pungent smell of marijuana. It was an overall horrible first impression of a place my family and I thought so well of. I am definitely extremely hesitant to ever stay at another Great Wolf Lodge.

TLDR - Save money, drive to Disney.Probably one of the worst experiences Ive had in terms of value. While the folks there were OK, dont expect Disney quality service. Since their activities were limited, they were doing hand outs for arts and crafts which was literally just a piece of paper and two crayons, like at Olive Garden. Food here was pretty low quality and the carry out option at their resraurant was $20/box, so if you want dessert, you pay $20 for a small piece. Everything closes very early, the pool closed at 7, everything else soon after. All of the staff are curt but will help you after being nudged a little. A few times, they spoke as though I should know the answer. Fortunately, they have a great app that can answer questions, provide hours, and even order food for pickup apparently. Unfortunately, the app went down for a 6 hour maintenance window at the beginning of my stay and was then down for 4 days. For the ~$200/night price tag, you could drive down to Florida, stay in a 4 star hotel (gotten these for ~$80/night on Priceline) and bought tickets to Disney. Their apps work and dont go down for days, their folks are friendly, they stay open later, and the kids will have more fun. If you are looking for a budget minded vacation where you get the most value for what you pay, look elsewhere. Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA is also a better choice if your kids are young. The highlight of the whole stay was the Huntsman Grill located in front of the lodge. The food was great (I had elk steak and rabbit sausage) and the folks there were incredibly friendly. But its not owned by Great Wolf, so that explains why.If you are Covid concious, this isnt the best place. No masks are worn at the pool but people dont observe the 10 foot distance and it is pretty crowded. Kids dont wear masks and no temperature checks anywhere. The staff is always masked up though.

We had a recent trip to Great Wolf Lodge during COVID 19. I believe they went through great lengths to make sure that it was COVID safe. The food at the Loose Moose is good but it was the same for 2 nights. It would have been nice to switch it up. The best kept secret is a game in the theater. We played that thing constantly with our group taking turns. Tons of fun

Love this Great wolf lodge! It’s always a great weekend getaway. We are here for Halloween and the trick or treat trail was quite short but they did a really good job with it! Only thing that I haven’t liked is the Loose Moose restaurant serves the same thing every day for breakfast and dinner. This is our second visit and we won’t be returning if the menu doesn’t change.

This place is AMAZING! From the decently clean hotel rooms to the massive amounts of entertainment Great Wolf Lodge NEVER fails to impress. Now, the place is targeted for kids but, there is a spa, adult rides in the water park, a whole entire adult only floor, and a Dunkinr Donuts. Great for family’s and good for adults. Many people experience uncleanliness, mold, and missing parts to coffee makers and such in the hotel room. The worst I have experience with this would be there was a little bit of toothpaste in the sink when we got there and the safe was locked shut. Other wise, very clean hotel room. The kids rooms are nice but looked hard to clean for the staff. So a few crumbs are understandable and if you have a problem don’t make the staff fix it if its small do it yourself. Not because the staff is bad but because they have alot of people and tasks to work with. My worst experience would have to be one year me and my family went and the day we got there they had to drain the wave pool and didn’t fill it back up for a couple of days.

Had a good time with our two kids, 5 and 6 years old. Water park is fun with a good variety of things to do. Theyre limited to half capacity (we visited in October of 2020). Seems like the place would be super packed if they were at double what they were this week. Skip the arcade and 4D theater as the smiles per dollar value just wasnt there. Magic Quest is fun for the right kid. Would go again but not at full price and definitely not on a busy/holiday week.

Wonderful place to entertain kids, but you better be prepared to spend BIG BUCKS! The dining room buffet is 15$ for breakfast and 20$ for dinner. The water park is great, and included in the price of the room. Food choices are limited, but overpriced. The gift shop is another pricy trip as is the Candy Shop($13 for 12 oz. candy!). We bought $59 paw passes for 2 kids, which included enough activities to save some money. The Magic Quest game can take anywhere from 3 to 6 HOURS. The kids enjoyed it for about one and a half hours, then played for another 45 minutes the second evening, but lost interest and did not complete the quest. We did feel comfortable letting our 12 year olds do most things by them selves. The staff were very friendly and helpful everywhere we went while there. Would love to go back, but this 2 night stay cost over 800$, not including gas to get there! So, doubt we will return.

We stayed for 1 night with the balcony/fireplace room. Check in was easy. When we got to our room outside there was a pack a play, trash, and dirty towels to the left of our door. It wasnt picked up till next day. It looked very trashy. Room was spacious, some stains, cheerios in the air conditioning. Stains on the couch, the pillows were lumpy. We didnt sleep that well. Waterpark was great! Kids loved it. At 10 am check out day we started to get knocks on the door. 2x. The first knock woke us up. The second, I checked their was a male standing outside the door. No one identified who they were, it was kinda scary. If it was the cleaning crew dont bug us when we have paid for that time. Overall, my kids enjoyed. Well probably go back. The fireplace and balcony were cool!

Bring your food in the room to save money! Story time was lacking more entertainment same with the party at night. The activities during the day’s are a hit or miss and there isn’t enough room for the amount of kids that show up. Place isn’t bad but a big smaller than I thought as far as the water park. Even in the water park they cleaned the tubes and any hands on equipment used. Hand sanitizer was put at the entry of every ride. Food was mediocre though. I wouldn’t spend money on the food bundle. We stayed in the Majestic Bear Suite. It sleeps 8 and is a nice size for my family of 6. Any more would have been crowded. I thought the concept of Willow (guest service Rep through text) was an amazing concept!Kids absolutely loved their stay from 5-14! All had a blast! Would recommend even now to go check it out!Following things are down as of now... the XD 4D theatre, out door pool, Looks like they had mini golf, and the outdoor obstacle course. The indoor pool was not at capacity! Great place for our family to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. Beautiful and delicious buffet for dinner. Magic Quest game that occupies a lot of time joyously (and exercise). The water park full of slides and relaxing areas. 4 options of food plus easy access to outside restaurants. This year we took a day to experience Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. We had a great time and plan on keeping this a tradition of staying at The Great Wolf Lodge to welcome in the holidays. 2 things I would change: 1. Add seating on the 4th floor near elevator. 2. Get rid of single use plastic soap, shampoo, lotion.

The coffee maker lacked the piece that is needed to brew coffee. The app to order food was out of order. We purchased a Cabana, no info was offered as to where it was. Upon, asking the attendant pool entrance/shop was told I needed to go to check-in to get that info. GWL Williamsburg still excluding school days off in their specials. Even now, if you wish to trust an all indoor entertainment facility during COVID-19, they have excluded the Mondays that kids are off from virtual learning. Any other time, they block any staff day or reason the kids are off in addition to the holidays. Holiday pricing is understandable, bc lets face it several places do that and dont honor discounts. However, this location blocks sales at any mention of the schools giving a day off. If youre planning on purchasing meals at the lodge, buying your kids souvenirs, pay for the additional activities not included in price, inviting anyone over the room threshold, upgraded rooms with the decor you see advertised than it will add up fast. Youd think they could cut families a break and offer a deal that would allow your children to attend classes as they should and enjoy a day there. Well, overall we decided its not going to be as enjoyable with the restrictions in place and dont want to risk it. But I dont think wed be rushing to book down the line either, just because it runs you the wrong way when a business doesnt seem to care about who theyre serving.

The only complaint about the room was there was no fan in the bathroom so it would get super streamy. We got a pup pass for the kids. I love that idea it was worth it but they do a very poor job on tell you the hours of the activities. We had planned to do half the stuff one evening then doing the other half after dinner on the last night however no one told us the bowling and the XD movie closed at 7pm. So we never got to experience that. It’s very frustrating when you pay all the money and they close that early. Luckily the nice lady at he arcade give us extra credit. We had a great first experience at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg. We were very nervous to take a weekend getaway but really needed a change of scenery in the midst of covid. Check in and check out was virtual and we ate all our meals in the room just to be safe. The room was immaculate and comfortable.. All staff were phenomenal and frequently checking in asking us what more they could do to make our stay awesome via the app. Every single person we saw outside the water park was wearing a mask the correct way. Inside the water park everyone was being respectful of personal space. My kids had a lot of fun. Its smaller than I pictured but at only 50% maximum capacity it was perfectly fine. More to do for younger kids than older but thst was perfect for us.. The food was all pretty good, if a bit overpriced which is pretty standard at any place like this. The trick or treating activity was honestly kind of a joke but my kids still enjoyed it. There were 3 stations set up in the lobby and we got my daughter in full costume for a total of literally 45 seconds of fun. The storytime however was great and socially distanced. I visited Great Wolf Lodge last week and it was vastly different from my previous visit last year. Of course due to covid there were needed changes, and the staff did a decent job keeping things sanitized and enforcing mask wearing in the non waterpark areas. Last year my room was super clean, everything working, and free of all bugs. When I checked into my room this time, however, the fridge didnt work. I messaged the front desk through the app a couple of times and was told twice that maintenance would come but they never showed up. I ended up tossing the perishables I brought. Another issue was gnats. There were a ton of gnats in my room. It was gross. I did notice the waterbugs on the balcony but that wasnt too big of an issue since they didnt come into the room. When I informed the front desk about my issues with maintenance not showing up they offered me a complimentary late checkout. They didnt offer any solution to the bugs. We had fun in the waterpark though! I suggest just adjusting expectations and not to expect too much from the room, just enjoy the fun time on rides with the kids/family.

If you like a roach in your room book the grizzly bear room, had a nice time chasing one ...If you like unpleasant staff at the front desk go ahead...When we checked in the lady at the front desk was very unpleasant, unhelpful and gave the least details of activities if none I guess covid hit the ppl hard as well as businesses..a smile under the mask would be so much more welcoming and more details as well...:/Got to find out arhat we missed trick or treating since we weren’t informed of that...even tho ISpecifically asked for the activity scheduleShe’s like nothing specialJust check the app...nice responseIfYou want a story time for your kid call to book early...but oh wait...they won’t have a spot for you either way...they were all booked for story time..You want bowling go ahead and wait your turn...probably you won’t get a turn....Water park is smaller then other places.....And all in all...not worth the amount we paid for one night ..we left at check out...

Always a good time. This was our second time here and we already cant wait to go back again soon. Weve stayed in both the large suite with a loft and the Wolf Den room and both were extremely comfy and gave such a warm, fun setting for our fun filled stays. We did a Paw pass and birthday room upgrade for our first stay and upgraded to the Wolf Pass this time and so glad for it. We got to experience all the resort had to offer and it was like a fun scavenger hunt getting to all the spots and getting it marked off each time.TL;DR HIGHLY RECOMMEND 1000/10 WOULD GO AGAIN

Everything was great until we went to the arcade. We all played so many games that we kept winning so many tickets that we needed something to put them in. We got a bag early on and filled it pretty quickly. My stepson asked for a second bag and the guy at the counter told him that he wasnt giving him anymore bags because of his nasty attitude. Mind you my son hadnt done anything wrong other than be a boy amd get a little loud and excited. It mad me mad. I went and got the bag myself. If they cant deal with children, maybe they should find somewhere else to work!

This place has gotten better I’ll start with that. Me and my family have been coming here since 2011 (once a year almost) and it went from being awesome to being horrible to now being just plain ok.I won’t divulge our worst experiences but instead describe our stay just today.Rooms smelled clean but the blankets on pull out couch were horrendous. Front desk sent up some new ones and everything was fine.Water park is cool. Water is clean and lifeguards seem to be on point. They actually pay attention and it looks like they take their job seriously. Very attentive.Staff working at the food places are a different story though. Attitudes for days. Walked up to the ladies working the ice cream stand and asked for a straw. They were like “they are over there” pointing to another section of the area. I stated they were opened and dirty and they said well that’s all we got. Not even a flinch to help me out beyond their just standing around.Elevator sucks!!!! Takes your 30 min to get where you want in that thing. Taking stairs is ridiculously quicker but with a cancer patient I have to carry them so quick but yet stressful. Recommend you get more elevators or make them bigger to fit more people. All in all the stay was ok. Very over priced for what you get. Pictures will show the rest.

The waterpark was a fun experience for young children. Disappointed with quality of food/lack of options. Staff was friendly. The hotel quality did not come close to the cost of stay.

LISTEN LINDA! These ARE NOT ROACHES!I have had the absolute BEST TIME. I live about 30min away and have the same lil bugs. WELCOME TO VA IN THE WOODS, LINDA! They are water bugs. I stayed on the fourth floor in a loft suite (NOOOOO WATER bugs IN MY ROOM!!!).My room was awesome and I hate reading reviews that dont correspond with the TRUE experience- which is bar none. I love this establishment and everyone at the front desk is SPECTACULAR. I wish I remembered more names. I met so many AMAZING PEOPLE, most of which were the housekeepers, front desk staff, or housemen(**HUGE SHOUT OUT TO CHRIS**).As a manager of a high profile hotel chain, I can honestly say that I cant rant n rave enough about this place, and I am very picky.Cant wait to be back!! XOXO THANKS YALL!

Its great for a little vacation with kids. We got our package about 3 months in advance and got great discounts. You can add a meal package, which we did, but I kind of wish that we had just gone out. The swim areas are fantastic, you can leave a bag and your towels on a chair and no one messes with your stuff. I love that there are 2 hot tubes here, one for whole families, kids and all thats not as hot and doesnt have a lot of jets running and one for 21 and up that is hotter with more jets. Its a nice place to just let the kids loose, there lifejackets and tubes. The rooms are large and well kept.

So much fun. We were able to get a great deal on a room, which I would recommend is the best way to go. Nearly EVERYTHING other than the water park costs extra (to be expected), so if you’re able to get the room at a cheaper rate, it would allow you more flexibility to do some of the additional activities. Check Groupon and sign up for the Great Wolf Lodge newsletter. The water park is awesome, we have younger kids and there’s still plenty to do. This is a great winter destination, and during the week it wasn’t too crowded at all.

Went to play MagiQuest. Fun, lots of up and down stairs so you get your exercise which is great, little expensive. Seems once you get the wand you can play all day and more though, so that makes it worth it.
