In these days of COVID distancing the market has managed to carry on in a safe way. Lots of really good vendors - fresh pasta, produce, pickles, beef & poultry, crab meat, flowers, kombucha and bakeries. The Fall is a great time to go.
Cool vendors and a great atmosphere! If you havent been its worth a visit. Loved the fresh mushrooms and produce we bought.
Parking was easy and free.Even though it was raining, we purchased several items from various vendors which included tomatoes to Apple Dumplings to pesto bread to sweet potato bread and ham sandwich. Looking forward to tasting all of it!
What can you say about farm fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, and meats??? Pretty dang good is a start!!! The vendors are very happy to have your business, and I am more than happy to oblige. Well worth an early Saturday morning....
Great farmers market. Lots of different vendors. Really enjoyed it. Right down Gloucester street.
Nice to see it open. Everyone was wearing masks and was being socially conscious.
Great location. Many various vendors and stands set up
Everyone was so welcoming and friendly with the exception of the gentleman selling the goat cheese. He didnt even bother to say hello or even say thank you after we purchased some cheese. Unreal that in this day and age people are so unfriendly to brown folks. Oh well this negative interaction will not deter me from coming back to the Market. Love that it was in the picturesque downtown area and the stands were on a paved road. Nicely spaced out and people following directions as far as wearing masks and zig zaging between the stands.
Masks required...good things as always!
Missing the home town and market feel..still allowed to pick my own veggies at the store. Sad
Had to wait in long line just to get in, AND wear a mask, all outside. Then, had to wait in line while vendors could only wait on one person at a time. Too much, even grocery stores dont take this long. Not worth it.
Would go again they some great vendors
Great job keeping everyone safe.
Great assortment, friendly people, and very considerate if the Covid crisis.
Probably one of the best farmers markets ive been to with a wide variety of produce flowers and foods (seasonal and dependent on the weather and farming conditions) area of the city is historic the only negative (for some) is the parking since its usually fairly crowded it can be close to a 1/4 mile to walk at times from your parking spot. Again in the historical part of the city so the scenery on the short walk is nice. Bring your own bags and if you use card some places wont take is so you have to buy farmers market tokens but the change back from them is cash
It was nice to be out. The market has gotten very expensive, but good variety
So many quality vendors here. Its run very well. Its truly a farmers market. Mostly foods - produce, meat, bakeries, coffee, cider, chocolate. So much more great food. And some non-food -largely plants, flowers... I love this market!
First time there this morning. Real vendors with cool products. Produce was reasonably priced and seemed legit--we bought corn $6/dozen. Nice community atmosphere. Parking was a bear, though, so be prepared for combat. Try parking garage--may be worth a couple bucks to park easier. We are planning to return next week we liked it so much. Please like my review if it was helpful or informative.
Safety protocols are in effect. Good selection from different vendors.
It was much smaller than we had been told. However, that may be due to the cold weather and close to Christmas. There were no jewelry vendors, and I thought the prices were a bit high, compared to the Farmers Market here. The baked goods we tried were very good.
BEAUTIFUL experience and all outside
Williamsburg Farmers Market is among the top markets in the country for cities its size. I go every Saturday, rain or shine. Anything you would want to eat is available from farm fresh produce, baked items, cheeses, peanuts, grass-fed and organic meats, fish and seafood, wines, and kombucha. I leaving out a lot but it is an outstanding market compared to many others I have been to.
A ton of interesting mostly local merchants. Really enjoy the experience. Its Williamsburg though, so everything is a bit pricier than it needs to be, but seems to be good quality and everyone is pretty friendly.
Great fun! Tons of interesting and tasty treats and produce. Make sure to come before 10 am for the full selection as some vendors sell out. I am a local and go almost every Saturday morning during the summer to shop and grab lunch at the cheese shop!
Great farmer/vendor place. Everyone is friendly and offers great organic produce and other products like baked goods, homemade pasta, goat cheese, local meats, and other such products.
Every Saturday that I am in town I love going to this farmers market! Every vendor is extremely polite, cares about their product, and is usually selling decently priced goods. You can find vegetables, fruit, meat, pasta, bread, pastries, plants, popsicles, and so much more! If youre in town, give it a try
Lots of neat stuff here! The sights are great. The clacking of horse and carriage was cool. There was a play at one point. Lots of produce, nuts, ciders, bakery items to purchase or sample. Prices seem to be a little high.
A lot of good vendors. Reasonably priced. A couple of eclectic specialty of unusual items like dog biscuits, baked goods and lemon curd ect.Well worth your time and dog friendly.
This is where its at on Saturday mornings in Williamsburg. The stretch of Duke of Gloucester St (DoG St) in Merchants Square is transformed into a diverse farmers market. Goods run the gamut from farmed produce, honey, soaps, cut flowers, fresh meats and seafood, fresh baked goods, and so-on. A great place to mingle, have a cup of coffee and browse the ever changing stalls of merchandise. Rarely come home empty handed. Easy parking at one of the nearby surface lots or at the city operated parking garage two streets over.
Beautifully made items. Unusual and unique at the art show. The farmers market has quality items to purchase. I loved the microgreens booth. My first experience trying microgreens. Delicious!
We enjoy the Farmers Market so much and always make a point to visit when we are in town. Excellent selection and most everyone is super helpful and friendly! Just a note that doesnt reflect the actual Farmers Market at all but rather one of the vendors...Bundle Bakery. I heard the owner being rude to one of the guests for no reason. I questioned her about it and she tried to explain it away but I bothered me so much I emailed and mailed a letter to them to let them know how disappointed I was, as this was one of my favorite stops. They didnt contact me at all to follow up, so be warned. Customer satisfaction isnt something they care much about.
Great experience but way too pricey food items....amazing to me how people expect SO MUCH IN RETURN FOR SO LITTLE.Suggest differing approach to vendors....use the venue as an introduction to your craft. Reduce the price to expose product and enjoy your margins from homebase retail. The goal is exposure ......not to make next months rent on one sale. People arent going to purchase over priced tastes and introductions. I saw a lot of stuff being packed up to be thrown away - yes its a perishable inevitability....what a waste and missed opportunity. We garden, make artisan food products/wares, and have tended free range stock. Demand always exceeds ability to produce - which further increases value!Cheers and be well.
Fun and pet friendly. Great place to spend a morning. Various vendors for fruits, veg, crafts and more.
Wide variety of home grown produce, food products, and other goods. Great location.
Bought some dips, chalah bread tasted some wine ital.choc pastry. Also tasted 4 different wines and got a free sample of warm mulled wine, it was my fav.
Its the real deal. Lots of vendors, nice people and fun environment. I will be there every Saturday through the season. Even this early there were flowers, lettuce and fabulous soft shell crabs. What more could I ask for!!
This was Great! All kinds of farm produce. Well laid out. Terrific VA agriculture.
Great place to find fresh and local grown goods, and get some love in on some puppies.
Good variety of specialty items you will not find in stores. A little on the pricey side.
Amys Organics is amazing
Wonderful selection of foods and crafts. Felt very inviting.
Awesome variety of fresh, local produce. Loved the dog friendly vibe!!
Great place to get your fresh vegetables and fruits. It is worth the trip on Saturday morning. I recommend going early it can be crowded in the summer time.
Try the roasted ref peppers, onions, bacon, and ricotta cheese pizza!
A ton of vendors, offering a variety of items. The customer service counter was very helpful also, cant wait to go back
Great selections and prices
Always good vendors and something good to pick up. I wish it was open just an hour longer but maybe I should just wake up earlier!!

Absolutely wonderful market. Fantastic flowers, vegetables, meats, exotic mushroon, honey and can go on and on. Wouldnt be anywhere else on Saturday morning in season.

Great variety of items in an awesome atmosphere!
I go a couple of times and month and I really have fun and get nice items, produce, flowers, plants, so on.
Great local farmers and friendly people. I come everytime we are here.
Awesome! Family and Pet friendly with a variety of extravagant goods!
Have been a regular for many years - always great and fresh items
Way overpriced on almost everything. Food booths would be great addition. Entertainment lacking.
Enjoyed the dinner we had late. Had the cobb dinner salad. It was very large. The crumbled bacon on it has a strong smoke flavor, not unexpected. Buttermilk dressing was tastey. Its alot so you really dont need anything else like an appetizer.
Lots of great things in one place
Nice selection of local produce and wares in beautiful historic Williamsburg.
What a beautiful market. Lots of variety of produce, natural creams, soaps, lotions. Very friendly people. Good restaurants!
What an amazing place. Takes you back in time. We can’t wait to go back. Loved the sights, history and shops.
Nice small Farmers market, with the added feature of people bringing their dogs for a informal dog show.
Excellent market, lots of variety and great wine from Hampton Roads Vineyard & Winery!
My kids pet a pony...love it...the be freash produce at affordable prices
A great variety of vendors from around the region.
Great
Go back in time when things were simple
Wide variety of organic products, friendly vendors, benches for sitting along the outside of the booths, and pet friendly
Awesome time to get a variety of fresh vegetables. Price is far less than what you would buy at the grocery store
Great local vendors sometimes mixed with out of towners with a great selection
Too cold today, few vendors; but the full blown Farmers Market starts March 1st!
Loved getting Muffins from the Buttery Bake tent. Many assorted Vendors, from fruits & vegetables, cider, honey, and soap.
Fun place to walk around while looking at all the cool, and neat items that are up for sale.
Great farmers market.
Always something to try. Vegetables, wine, cider, chocolate, baked goods, flowers.... anything you need.
Stop by VA blue crab for fresh crab meat and crab products!
There is a lot of baked goods and farm/natural products. Also, many dogs are available for petting.
The farmers market was wonderful. The new park by plate at the parking garage is an absolute disaster
Get there early so you can get a decent parking spot
Great atmosphere and varied vendors from Farmers to Craftsman.
Many great products to choose from. Certainly good place to start weekend menu planning
Wonderful variety of vendors and the atmosphere of Colonial Williamsburg is beautiful
I liked it, but as always it was EXTREMELY crowded and the roads werent blocked off the joysicle popsicles tasted like dirty water...
The Buttery Bakery is the bomb
Williamsburg itself was great the farmers market was icecream in a cake.
So much to see and the food is incredible and fresh the people are very helpful.
Great people, great venues and all right outside Colonial Williamsburg. It feels nice supporting local businesses. Grabbed some jam (Strawberry Peach Jam) from Jans Jams (Rose Tree Hill Farm, Charles City County, VA) for $7.00. They offer samples of their products.
Smaller than before
