The building we were in is very dated. Mustard walls, brown carpet, almond countertops say it all. Facility is Covid compliant. Lots of single serving items in the well stocked kitchen. Lots of extra towels. Rooms were clean. Parking was good.

We stayed here through RCI in an A unit. Weve stayed at many resorts through RCI and this one is ....nice. not splendid. Not exceptional. Just, nice. With the amount of people here, two outside pools would be a huge improvement over the one pool they have. With an early pool closing time due to covid, it would be nice to have an outdoor area for adults to sit and relax (the patios on the rooms are a bit buggy)The unit itself is spacious enough for the three of us, and altho a bit dated, still very comfy. It was really nice having laundry right upstairs so we can wash our towels and clothes before we go home. One thing the website didnt really make clear was that the units are in condo style buildings. We thought we were staying in the main building thats shown so much in the website and that this was a small place. Its not - there are lots of units and its a decent sized resort (not complaining, just offering clarity for others who may not realize). The check in process was a bit chaotic, as theyre working in a small area, but the employees have all been amazing. Theres so much to in the area, and the beach is only an hour away.

Very nice big units with a down home look and feel. Had an easy to light fireplace. Washer and dryer in the room. I had broke my foot just 2 days prior to our visit. We called and they put us in a handicap unit on very short notice. On Sunday evening around 4pm, we noticed the hot water would not last very long at all. Called it in to the front desk and a maintenance man was there in 15 minutes. Had to change out the heating element in the hot water heater. Was repaired and gone in less than an hour. Awesome service!Only downside was the beds. Mattress really needed to be replaced. It made noise when you would get up or sit down on it.Overall, a great place to stay!

The size of the two bedrooms were okay but I didnt realize as I was not thoroughly checking the accommodation that theres no laundry room in the unit. But my family kind of accepted the fact that we were all set for one week set of clothes. The scary part when we found lots of black spiders and other crawling creatures inside. I just didnt want to ruin our Thanksgiving family celebration even though those moments I saw the creepy long legged spider that stuck in my mind. Just pretend that it was not there in that way I was not freaking out reaction in the eyes of my young children. Urg...but it happened!!I hope the management will hire pest control company fumigation and if they do that theyll contact me afterwards to let me know that the place is peaceful for my family to stay again in this place and then I can give them a higher rating review.

Ok so I was invited to do a presentation and I was excited to participate. So I arrived around 8 pm and checked in . So checkin was quick and easy. I then proceeded to the building where my room was. At first glance I liked the exterior of the building. I entered the room and walked around and the interior was just ok. It was nothing really special in the room. I called the office and expressed my disappointment. The room didn’t have a jacuzzi tub, the tvs were small and it just didn’t have any spice. I’ve actually stayed at better hotels. I asked for an upgrade and had to pay out of pocket which wasnt too much money and I really wanted to entertain my guest appropriately. They did accommodate my needs with the upgrade. I did take my tour and I do know Covid is making things so difficult so I kept my mind open for and through it all. I wasnt happy that my tour was early and there wasnt a normal breakfast spread. I only was offered coffee so I’m glad I got up before the tour and had breakfast. So after the tour I was ready to venture and explore Williamsburg. I called a girlfriend of mine and invited her and her husband to hang out. She agreed and had to pay the nightly fee which she didn’t mind. So she was charged almost 400 something dollars for a 2 bedroom since everything was sold out and also forced to book two nights thru Expedia. She finally arrived to her room and she was sooooooo disappointed as the wholeeeeee place was painted an ugly yellow paint, it looked old and dingy, the furniture looked old, she was highly disappointed in the fact she only had a hot plate to cook on, the hallway smelled dingy, and she was so upset she couldn’t even sleep. I felt so horrible I invited her to drive almost an hour to come to a place that would allow a room to look like that! My one bedroom looked so much better than her two bedroom. I couldn’t enjoy my own trip after that so this is the reason I don’t think I will return. I understand the amenities on the property but for an overnight stay with check in at 8pm and check out at 10 am there is no time to actually enjoy any amenities especially since now due to Covid you have to schedule pool time. If you are going to charge that much then you need to update those rooms, furniture and all!

Avoid this place. The first thing we did was check the bed for bugs, due to previous reviews. There were no bed bugs- that was the only good thing. The place was dirty. I didnt several hours removing spider webs, crumbs, and even a sugar packet which was on the floor near the bed. The carpet was very dirty. The bed was do old and rickety, that my back still hurts. We could hear everything from upstairs, including their sqicky bed.

Dirty!!!! While it looked like the beds were clean, the floors were filthy. We are in a 4 bedroom unit and both units were in ill repair. Called housekeeping almost 2 hours ago and were still waiting for them to come and clean. The bathroom sink had a garment tag in it. Tissue behind the door in the second bedroom. Kitchen floor has food crumbs on it. Gross! Thank goodness we came with cleaning supplies! To the company: get some quality control. We will never stay here again.

We have been coming to this Resort for 15 years and Friday October 9th 2020, was our worst nightmare. We encountered bedbugs in both apartments, in our beds. We had to transfer to another apartment at 2:00 am in the morning. The front desk did move us quickly and management did refund us for that one night. But there’s no excuses for these rooms not being inspected before being rented out. Sorry to say this is our last time here at this resort.

Because we checked in our first villa had lots of ants in the kitchen, we had to move ourselves Thankfully next door to another location in the pouring rain. The second villa was much nicer because it wasnt a handicap unit. The second bedrooms bathroom smelled like mildew we couldnt stand the smell to use it. They need to update Everything!! I gave 2 stars because the staff was so nice!! Not everyone wants to tour your property either. We just wanted to relax and enjoy our time as a family.

WARNING: This is a timeshare scamVacation Village belongs to the Berkeley Group. They won properties in Orlando and Las Vegas. These are far off from the attractions, and the accommodations they offer for $25,000+ down plus $1000/year maintenance for each week you own. The furnishings in the non-show units are of very low quality, or using older technology. Many kitchens dont have stovetops (they use hot-plates). None have had ovens. Even though they will claim high value and resale, they will not help you with resale nor rental. No realtor will touch the property. You will be stuck with a $1000/year fee until you die, or they foreclose upon you. And if you die, your estate will get the bill in perpetuity. What a legacy to pass off to your heirs! These properties are available on Hotels.com for far less nightly than the $1000/year maintenance. You get no additional amenities worth mentioning for the extra you pay to Berkeley. Resale for these is typically below $1000, with many going for $0 just to get them off the owners hands. You are far better off using their services thru the above site, and avoiding the pain and loss of purchasing.I highly recommend you do not buy this.

Check in was by the book. Rooms required Covid 19 protocols so there were no early entries. However, we did luck out when the front desk managed to find a unit allowing us to unload an hour earlier. The Spa was exceptional, the therapist was very good and managed to loosen me up.One thing did surprise me, because our stay was less than a week we were charged an additional $ 75. I explained we would have stayed the week if there had been a week available.

We were invited to a presentation in exchange for our stay. Reading comments and reviews I was nervous about going and almost decided to just forfeit the 75 dollars down but I must say we loved it! Our unit was clean and spacious. Comfy beds, full kitchen, friendly staff. I LOVED the tub in the master suite .it’s unfortunate others had bad experiences but we (my husband, our two toddlers and i) really enjoyed our stay. We did end up enrolling in a timeshare but the salesman wasnt pushy at all. Looking forward to return here as well all other property affiliates!

The resort is in a good location, close to everything, but is in need of some serious upgrades!!! My parents have been owners for over twenty years. My first time visiting was about 10 years ago and it has declined each time I’ve visited since!! I had a week stay and asked were there services for cleaning and I was told no and we’ve never done that, but I was handed laundry detergent and was told you can wash and clean what you need to. WHO WANTS TO DO CHORES ON VACATION??!! Beds and bed linen was very uncomfortable. The is very poor lighting outside at night. It was chilly and rainy one day and we decided to go into the indoor pool, but indoor pool was colder the outdoor pool!! It’s 2020 why isn’t the indoor climate controlled?! And the restrooms in the indoor pool are freezing!!! For this resort to get the business it does it’s in need of serious upgrades!! And the not very accommodating to long time owners!!

My 2 bed 2 bath apt was spacious and pretty good. The resort offered most things that a family would enjoy. However, I just stayed at blue green in Orlando and the quality was not the same. I payed less and now I know why. Overall it was a great bargain for 7 days. One small issue is that we lost power for a few hours. I’m not sure if it was an isolated incident or if it’s normal. It was my first time there. I would go back for the bargain with my family.

We received a call saying we were invited to a tour about vacation time share. We said what’s the worst that could happen? We were asked for a 75$ deposit. Reluctantly we paid. And was promised the deposit back on a visa gift card after our tour. It’s true. They kept their promise. And we also received a bonus 50$ gift card. We read numerous reviews the night before our tour. Scared to death. We showed up at least to get our deposit back. We were finished within the 120 mins. Reviews kept saying 3-4 hrs. Our tour guide Kevin was the best you could ask for. The stay was pretty nice. The resort asks for a 100$ deposit in case you trash the place. We’re still waiting only because it’s only been 10mins since we checked out. I’ll update the results of getting back the room deposit. I’ll just say this. If you read reviews and base your decision off what some experiences. Be open minded and experience it for yourself. Like us we would have loved to take part in this had we been more financially stable. I recommend this, if you are into yearly vacations.

Its wonderful that we are allowed to bring our pets to Vacation Village! Our timeshare is quaint. However, while much of Vacation Village has been remodeled, the pet-friendly area of the resort is still old and starting to break down. The front desk told us that the entire resort is supposed to already be remodeled, but the coronavirus pandemic has put them behind. Of note, the front desk staff have been very helpful at getting us everything we need to fix our villa and make our lives a little bit nicer here at Vacation Village. The best thing is that we can bring our pet birds! There is a $125 fee for bringing your pets, but we are able to bring them with us and we didnt have to find somebody to birdsit them.As with any timeshare, we are on our own to visit all of the exciting attractions and history here at Colonial Williamsburg. And, shall we say, it is far better to spend a week at a timeshare than a hotel at Colonial Williamsburg! Our villa has two bedrooms and a small but complete kitchen. We cook here everyday! (Especially because of the pandemic.)Oh yes, the pandemic has given us an opportunity for vacationing. Our daughter is teleschooling from her timeshare bedroom. We could never have taken this vacation during the school year in a normal year. If you have considered this option, call your prospective timeshare and ask about the strength of their Wi-Fi. Here at Vacation Village, the Wi-Fi is pretty darn good.

We just returned from a week at Vacation Village. This resort is conveniently located to many attractions and even with construction, it was easy to find. We did bring our dog so having her with us was very nice. We had a 4 bedroom unit and let me start by saying, they are very small. We had 4 adults and 1 child in 1 unit and 3 adults and 1 child in the upstairs unit. The pet friendly units dont offer twin beds in 2nd bedroom, so it was a tight squeeze. The kitchens were small, old appliances, etc. The definitely didnt clean the unit, we arrived to blood on the sofa. Called that evening, nobody came until the next day, when I had to call back. They cleaned it and waived our resort fee, which I do appreciate, but it just shouldnthave happened. There was an earring post by the stove, dust everywhere, and floors werent clean. Luckily there was a vacuum and I used it everyday. I understand things happen, we travel quite frequently, I guess I was shocked at not only the lack of cleanliness but condition of unit. Everything was old and damaged. The pool was open and until Thursday we had to have reservations, I was fine with it, but it got pretty confusing some days-staff at pool werent friendly. The last day, swim was open to 40 people capacity. Masks had to be worn at all times when in buildings and while shopping, that was fine with us. Overall I enjoyed my family time, but would definitely not return to this resort unless its updated.
