We took a weekend away with friends. No specific agenda, just a weekend get-away. This place was a FIND!!! BEAUTIFUL property, spacious accommodations, very responsive staff!! I cannot believe we happened across this place!! Very comfortable beds, and very nice furnishings. You will enjoy your stay. This picture was the view from our balcony.

First vacation during pandemic. I can tell the room has been vacant for a while as a lot of things were dusty. So nice to know not a lot of people were in it. Nonetheless I always enjoy when I come here. Have been for years. Comfy and relaxing.

Always a treat to go here for a get away. Amazing rooms and friendly service, and so many things to do on site. Feels clean and cared for.

Tap water has so much chlorine it is un-drinkable. Beds were incredibly comfortable but I cannot say the same for the living room. I think there are many other better places to stay.

Excelent! Curbside check-in, all the safety protocols in place, except for some of the guards at the gate who dont wear masks and get really close to you when you first arrive. Other than that, friendly service, good amenities, and the rooms are in wonderful condition. We got a unit that seemed recently remodeled, with new appliances, carpet, and furniture. Very happy with our stay. Location is also great very close to Colonial Williamsburg but even closer to many restaurants and shops, including the outlets.

The staff are really nice people I lost my wallet and they handle it really well they even helped me with the phone numbers that I need to call to report it missing

This was our first time back to Governors Green in a few years. We were excited for a relaxing weekend away in Williamsburg and the resort totally let us down.Its wasnt the closed amenities or sterile spaces due to COVID. We expected that. It was the huge gob of hair on the shower wall in not one, but two spots, which is grossly disgusting even when not in a pandemic. Obviously we complained to the front desk and they told us to let them know when we would be away for a few hours so housekeeping could clean the unit. Ok that was acceptable.We come back from the owners update meeting... and the housekeeper is in our kitchen! We had left our personal belongings laying out so now our personal privacy has been violated. We quickly packed up and left for the afternoon even more upset. I phoned the front desk supervisor and she apologized profusely again, said they had not given housekeeping permission to enter, and that the General Manager was aware of the problem and would be updated about this breach of privacy.Alright, trying to make the best of our Saturday we stayed away for about 4 hours trying to relax and put that behind us. I even verified with the front desk supervisor that the room was ready before we drove back to the resort. Walked back into the unit... Kitchen looks good... bedroom is clean... bathroom.... same gobs of hair stuck to the shower walls!!!That was the final straw for that unit. We went back to the front desk and spoke to the supervisor again and demanded another unit. She was good enough to check the cleaning logs and make sure it wasnt the same crew. However, this unit still didnt meet the standards I have for Wyndham. There were crumbs on the kitchen and dining area floor, black dirt and particles in the garden tub, and when I showered there were bugs coming out of the broken silicon caulking between the floor and wall.Needless to say the wife and I will not be going back to Governors Green anytime soon. They only refunded 2 of our 3 nights and didnt even offer Wyndham swag or gift cards for our trouble.

A very nice property with a great and friendly staff. The common areas are nice but it lacks a bit in the cleaning and maintenance. The pool was pretty dirty with a scum line that hasnt been scrubbed in what I assess is a very long time. Our shower had hair from previous occupants still on the shower floor so I dont think they clean the showers regularly between occupants.Cleanliness aside, its a nice property in a good location and one of the newer and nicer Wyndham brands in the area.

Nice place to stay. Not a lot to do due to the circumstances. Try to avoid the sales presentation unless you really want to buy more timeshare. Good place to stay if youre exploring Colonial Williamsburg.

The room was spectacular. We visited various places including the Go-Kart Amusement Park.Well be returning in 6 months.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. My friend and I stayed in a 2 bedroom model on the ground floor. We ate out the whole time, but you have everything you need to cook and store your own food. The staff is friendly and helpful in directing you to historic sites. This resort is not far from colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, or Yorktown.

The property is spacious and our 3 bedroom condo was big and clean. I loved having a full kitchen to cook in, and the soaking bath tub was a nice addition. I had read previous reviews about the time share pitch being pushy but it was only mentioned to us once at check in and then not again. They did text to check on us several times to make sure we were happy and everything was to our satisfaction. When we have a tv go out, they were quick to come fix it. They even called again after it was fixed to make sure everything was still working. The location was great and only a few mins from Colonial Williamsburg. We would gladly stay again.

So much for the kids to do, an itinerary was available, champagne in the lobby, service was quick and available.

Really nice property overall. The room was really nice size with a full kitchen. It had some maintenance issues but they repaired most of them tight away. Overall clean, but the lake/pond area was littered with trash around it. The wifi was iffy at best. If you needed to do anything after 10pm the wifi didnt work most of the nights we were there. When you try to call the office to report anything after 6pm you would most lo likely get an answering machine. If you tried calling after 8pm you would get someone that just didnt know what to do. Otherwise it was still a nice property just with issues (that could be fixed with some help).

The condo and the resort is very clean also maintained very well.

Theyre keeping things fun and safe. Staff super supportive and organized.

I had the most amazing week of my summer here!!! The pool was amazing and dont forget the hot tub!! The hotel was like a safe house!! There was deer in our backyard and it was so cool. This place is amazing and Im glad I came. We went to Busch gardens and had fun at watercountry too!! This place did have a power outage but they worked hard and got it back up in just a couple of minutes. I love this place and I hope I can go here again!! This is amazing

Beautiful place to visit and very clean. There’s a lot of shopping, excellent restaurants and family events to enjoy! The best part was the beautiful wildlife deer, swans, ducks, geese and beautiful birds.

We had a great time there and in the area.

Really lovely place to spend the holidays or any time. The rooms (3 bedrooms) are spacious and the amenities are great too with indoor pool, pool tables, and daily fun activities. The customer is also great. My family enjoyed spending time there.

Beautiful timeshare many activities closed due to covid 19

I had an ant problem in my top floor unit because the living room table was not clean properly and candy wrappers in and behind multiple dressers. Also, I wish the property had a bigger gym for us gym rats. Overall, the stay was okay.

The staff is really nice...only a couple things bothered me.1) Idk who cleans after a guest leaves but I shouldnt have to clean out someone elses hair from shower before I get in and there was glitter on carpet that I swept up...and trash on the grounds.Other then that our stay as owners has be good so far...

Nice size units. Very convenient location. Customer service was spotty. Had to ask for extra towels and maintenance twice, though counter staff and others were very good. Its always nice to have a full kitchen.

This resort was top notch. My group was impressed with the amount of space in the rooms and all of the amenities and events on the grounds. So many fun things to do. We didnt have to leave the grounds to have fun, but it was a short trip to great restaurants, shopping, Busch Gardens and Jamestown. Beds were comfortable and everything we used in the room worked perfectly. Loved our trip!

Really like this place the grounds are kept nice rooms are clean and spacious and the amenities are very adequate including the heated pools. The nice convenience is the elevators in each building, great not having to hump all your baggage up the stairs.

Check in was quick and the attendants were very helpful, friendly and thoroughly answered all questions.

Great place for family vacation

All checked in at 1:00 to a 3 bedroom deluxe room. It was really great to arrive so soon and the room was ready. We’ve been staying here for Years and never had a bad experience. Staff is always professional and courteous.

At first i thought it was a nice stay but then the worst came out of my stay! I were shocked when i were bitten by dust mites where the couch in the room were not dusted properly or regularly or properly and then when i checked out the welcome center lied about my expensive mugs i left in the room. So they are not as good as they are rated. Because i feel they should have honest and faithful workers working for them to keep the overrated resort a better place to vacation without having to worry about not getting what belongs to you after left in the rooms by mistake!

Its a really nice time share. I saw plenty of families who appeared to be having a good time. Theres plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.

I loved staying here. It felt like being in a home vs staying in a hotel. My brother ans his wife have a timeshare and were sweet enough to invite my daughter and I on a vacation and I was able to relax.

Its the pool was way to crowded and you had to make reservationsOther than that the hotel its self I was nice little out dated but good.

We enjoyed ourselves, but I feel like it is overated, and outdated. The faucets in the kitchens and bathrooms are so 90s. Our shower leaked in the guest bathroom. The people below us cooked Christmas dinner and you could smell whatever disgusting food they were preparing. I guess it couldnt be helped but its not very noise or sound proof. Next time I think well stay at the kingsgate.

We were on the ground floor. At 8am sounded like bodies being moved around from one side of the suite to the other. People above us were slamming the patio door every 5 minutes at 7am that shook the downstairs in our suite. One bedroom smells like a dog had lived in their long term. Handicap parking was minimal. Suite size was perfect though, clean, done up nicely. Grounds were nice and the fountain at night was beauitful. They have a nice walking paths around the water. However, a one hour meeting at 830am... well its 1:00pm and meeting is still going on. Not cool when your family is literally in town less than 24 hours. While outside waiting outside the activity building where the meetings are held we witness at least 7 employees hang in the cars yell at other employees across the parking lot, cursing, smoking and witness 3 employees take up 3 of the 4 handicapped spots at their office.

The check in ladies were not very customer service friendly. They didnt make us feel welcome. They made us feel like we didnt belong there. I am a member and I was not happy when I left their desk. Mike on the other hand was very helpful, friendly and very aware of my unhappiness. He was very apologetic for my treatment. I asked Mike if he could train the others to be as professional and courteous as he was.

The resort has gone through recent upgrades, renovations of the interiors and exteriors. New picnic areas have been added, making it a great place for families. With easy access to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens and shopping along Richmond Road, as well as a great mix of fine dining and casual, its a great resort to be at.

Our 2 bedroom apartment was very nice, there was plenty of parking near our building, anything you might need for a stay was in the unit and in good working order. At check-in and check-out, the staff was friendly and asked if we needed anything or if there were any issues. I would not hesitate to go back for another stay and the resort being so close to everything was great.

Clean, professional, and friendly! My husband and I felt right at home in their beautiful suite. The staff was amazing and explained everything clearly. Definitely recommend Windham for any vacation!

People are great, facilities are well maintained and the staff is quite responsive. Only issue is older bathroom showers and faucets. But still well maintained.

My favorite spot to unwind. We had to have the sheets replaced and there were missing towels, but the crew handled promptly. We have been coming here for years, and every other time was perfect.

I have stayed at this resort several times with my family and have always had a good experience. My only complaint is with Wyndham as a whole, not necessarily this resort. I wish my parents (Wyndham owners) did not have to get hassled by the sales teams EVERY vacation they go on. They take several a year and spend a fortune to keep their timeshare with Wyndham. They do not need to be hassled to spend more money every vacation they go on.

Very nice vacations place

Great facilities both for staying in and entertainment. With multiple pools, basketball and volleyball courts as well as a putting golf course theres plenty to do along with various activities put on throughout the week. The living facilities are roomy and comfortable, very nice as a family of four. Great access to the rest of the area which has all of the shops and restaurants you may need during your stay.

Very nice property. We did not stay here but we were graciously invited on the captive 4 hour tour with breakfast. Would seriously consider staying here!

Peaceful place. I loved that they have an indoor pool. My baby was cold in the outside pool so it was nice to have the option to go inside. The chlorine in the hot tub was excessive and irritated my skin Was annoyed that I had to stand in one line to check in and then a separate line to get my room key. They purposely do that so that you are forced to listen to their sales pitches. Unfortunately a teen threw up near the indoor pool and despite reporting it to the front desk, the vomit had yet to be cleaned when we departed the pool an hour later.

The lamp outside my room is hanging, my phone doesnt work and the text feature is slow to respond

For the most part I love this place but their customer service in regards to a lost item was horrible. They didnt seem to care. Were rude. Didnt really check for it even though I gave them the exact location of the items and then told me they donate items after a few months. Im livid I lost items Id had for years and cant replace and they were really nasty and flippant about it. Besides that my family comes here every Christmas. Just make sure you double check your unit when you leave

Our family stays in Governors Green a lot. Not as active as the other Wyndham property in the area (Kingsgate), but the clubhouse has enough to entertain the kids and provide a noise level desired for an adult on vacation. The pool can get busy in spurts, but it is nothing like Kingsgate at its peak. They have just added a new playground and it makes bldgs 14 and a few others perfectly aligned for sending the kids outside to play. Good times and even better fun!

Large rooms and kitchen in apartments. The place was very well kept. Many attractions within a short distance of the hotel.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Thats all I have to say about this place. Beautiful views, of big green manicured lawns with activities like horseback riding and golfing. Big beautiful clean rooms with washers and dryers!!!! Loved being here.

Love this fir all it has to offer

My parents have a timeshare with Whyndam, and we were kicked out of Myrtle Beach due to a hurricane. Our family was pretty upset but decided to come up to Williamsburg to finish our vacation.Wow was it a great choice! Governors Green is beautiful. It is very clean and the rooms are very large. The staff was beyond helpful every step of the way. The resort is very quiet and peaceful. The pool and other amenities are incredible. Will definitely be back again!

Stayed here twice with my Dad and loved the amenities. The pools are great and landscaping is beautiful. Last time our washer leaked all over the floor and someone came in minutes to clean it up and replace the washer.

Love this resort! We travel with our children and grandchildren ️ Lots to do there and of course all around the area.

Wow!! We have 3 kids, we checked in as guests and were upgraded to a HUGE two bedroom suite. Two full baths, full kitchen, three t.v.s. The property is right in the middle of Williamsburg, close to everything. Plenty of very nice help
