Queer, non-binary person here.If you love skating, playing basketball, getting friends and family together for a cookout, fishing, then this is a wonderful outdoor spot. I love to skate and the roller area is covered and usually someone is playing music. It reminds me of the rinks as a kid. There is also a long paved trail that goes parallel to the water that’s great for running and bike riding. Plenty of free parking. The lots could use a re-do and sometimes there is a bit of trash on the ground from groups that don’t pick up after themselves. All in all, I normally can spend 2-3 hours here. Lots of families and kids. A good Saturday afternoon spot.
I rode my bike in Anacostia park recently for the first time in years and totally enjoyed the experience. I had forgotten what a lovely walking, biking, skating trail exists at rivers edge. A great place in the city for some nature time without the hassle of looking for parking.
Very quiet an clean. Great place for cook outs an other gatherings
Didnt visit park itself, but rode along anacostia bike trail. Nice scenic ride.
Beautiful park for walking, jogging, biking riding, etc. Beware of the crowds.
Beautiful part of the city.

Love this park always lots of open space and usually not crowded. Great spot to bring your dog. I come here on Saturday’s for a weekly free 5k with a group called parkrun.
I love walking there when it is nice!!!!
Its a great place to go running. Or just stroll along the river. I take my kids to the playground and use the workout equipment ( genius move). There are basketball courts, a dock, skating rink, places to cookout, open fields. I love it here.
I love Anacostia Park because its a walking distance from my neighborhood to walk for miles without interruptions. Its a great place to walk and to jog while watching beautiful sceneries...species of variety birds flying, boats cruising, Rowers rowing, athletics of basketball, football, soccer, fishing, rollerblading and families celebrating.
Anacostia Park is a great place for exercise, picnics, fishing, and an overall fantastic place to spend time with love ones. It has two playground for the kiddies, a skating rink, basketball courts and more. It also a bike trail. If you never been your missing out

Good place for business.

Yearning for a walk? Anacostia Park is perfect, alive and wild along the rivers edge. You might spot all sorts of wandering wildlife along its shores. You might even experience its breathtaking beauty at sunset. Thank you, Anacostia Park.
Its a park with a river running beside it. What is not to like. Good place to sit by the river, meditate, take a stroll or ride your bicycles, scooters and push a stroller.
I absolutely love Anacostia Park its so beautiful I love to see family and friends come together and enjoy outdoors. I wish the park service would do a better job of cleaning up the trash along the riverside. But my experience was overall fantastic.
Havent been here in over 20 years, but was pleasantly surprised to see it still in beautiful condition. The park is well-maintaned, with gorgeous cherry blossoms and a lovely view of the river. Will be coming here more often.
Great place to just relax unwind and do a bit of sport fishing
Fresh air
Nice clean
Loved the vibe from the short amount of time the family and I spent out here. Plans are set to make a second go round and really get the most out of the area.
Very beautiful, guided ranger tours on the boardwalk, this place has history, and was help changed by forming the Anicostia. Take picture and bring water.
I always go here for a peace of mind. I love the smell of the water and air.
The personaity of this place is so unique and I love seeing the vibrant community here. I wish it wasnt so dirty, but it was great seeing people come together to clean it at events as well. It has a free skate rink and pool too, so its really an invaluable resource to surrounding communities.
Very well kept and expansive park. Better than Rock Creek
Im telling you its a very lovely place to fish The weather is great most of the time The park is very clean
Beautiful day kids having fun free food
Anacostia Park is a great park for the family. They have soccer and basketball games often, just bring your ball and your game. They also have a pool and a newly renovated skating rink. Surprisingly, they have an aquatic center for the kids and its full of information. Last but not least there are picnic areas all around and one playground area for kids.
It has a very nice long bike trail
Great
Great scenery and I just love the view and many activites you can do with family and children. Also very romantic for couples to go and watch the sunset and on the water activities.
A beautiful place to visit. Great scenery!
Just waiting for the park to open to sit by the water
Not bad .getting a barbecue spot on the weekends.get there early
The Greatest Park ..East Of The River..!!
I lived in this neighborhood over 40 years. It brings back good memories. The city keeps the park up well.
Let me count the ways I LOVE Anacostia Park:1) Its one of the best running trails in all of DC. It stretches for miles along the Anacostia River and the path is well kept for runners.2) Theres a lot of green space to picnic and enjoy nature.3) There are hidden gems throughout from murals under highways and even a famous skating ring.4) Its great for kids. One of DCs best playgrounds complete with a pirate ship is in the park.I could go on and on so instead how about you head on over to Anacostia Park and check it out for yourself. Its a GREAT spot!
People need to clean up after their dogs
Went to Anacostia River Fest & it was nice..A relaxin day & Event I really enjoyed my day out
Fantastic place, tidal basin, bike trails, skating rink, cherry blossoms, wharf more could a girl ask for!!! One stop nature hop. There are a few seats for sitting, watch the boats, Yauchts, ducks, geese, etc. Amazing views from every side of the water, plenty of open area to play etc. Bring your bike, bus and train line both come here, the new busboys and poets in right up the street, or even better Carribean Citatations a Jamaican Food Staple of deliciousness! Enjoy!!!
This is a nice place to take a walk or ride your bike. Bring the kids and let them get their play on. It has always been a family place since Ive known way back to the 70s and Beyond.
Great park, good clean atmosphere and great security by Park Police
Make sure your life insurance is paid up before you go
Cool but I cant smoke weed smh
It wasnt crowded at all and nice breeze
Needs more investment but its wonderful walking, biking, releasing... here
A perfect place to commune with Nature, walk, bike or jog!
Great for bike riding
The pirates ship is nice. The workout machines are an awesome idea. The parking lot however was full of people listening to loud music and people drinking in the parking lot. Beware.
Nice park. Play area for younger kids walking trails bike trails jogging trails fishing too its a nice place to go
Nice open, airy space lots of exercise areas.
Great place to have cookouts and family Gatherings
An important part of DC history. It is getting a big makeover this year. The guys at the US Parks police are the most Pleasant service-oriented police force you are ever going to see.
Crime processing
One of my favorite places to visit in the District. Enjoy the sanctuary & sites of our newly remodel city.
Fun playground and grilling area
Great Park for bike riders no Hills especially if you are intermediate or older person nice amenities available for families very peaceful part does not appear to have any negativity going on whenever I have been there which is about three to four times a month
Washingtonians favorite
Not what it use to be. They stolen the joy, fun, and HAPPINESS from the park
NEED CLEANER RESTROOMS !!! But the park is fantastic.
Nice place to visit ....
Nice place to exercise,
Love this park I go here 4 times a year to do girls in the run with my daughters. Park is usually patrolled by park police. Beautiful views. Great running and bike path. Wished I lived a little closer I would definitely go a lot more.
Its a really park. Great walking trails along the river. My main concern is the amount of trash strewn around. If theres a riverbank clean up program Im up for it. No one should have to see so much litter at a National park especially in the nations capital.
Several people where walking the trail. A couple of groups.
Love it
Park. Playground. Areas for meetings and family reunions. Fishing. Jogging and walking on sidewalk or paths. Outdoor swimming pool. **Unfortunately no bus service in walking distance, for those with mobility issues.
Nice place to chill in DC. Lots of new building. Parking can be difficult. Nice walking/bicycling paths along the river. Would not recommend swimming. Many eateries nearby.
There are some decent areas with playgrounds & facilities north of the 11th Street Bridge. Great for bicycling & running & walking. But its not so easy to get to.
Went walking here! Great spot along the river. Beautiful view!
Hidden gem of a park east of the Anacostia. Includes playgrounds, outdoor workout equipment, a city pool, a riverside jogging/biking path that stretches a few kilometers, sports fields and a covered roller skating pavilion. Skate rental is free for DC residents.
Great fishing, watch out for the bums!
I love this park
They cleaned up alot
Great park but filthy river
There is a feeling of where is everyone when you visit here. Lots of wide open spaces but nobody really utilizing them. Ever.
Love the view nice and quiet
Good park for jogging and nice green spaces for other outdoor activities like flag football and soccer. The skating rink is a hidden gem during the summer.
Best park in the DMV
Absolutely stunning at sunset!!
