A great area if your looking for a chill night out by the water. A number of good restaurants to choose from if you get hungry. And an all around great place to hang out with friends. Or if youre feeling romantic you could take your date here for a casual stroll. If your up for a picnic you can bring your sheets and relax on the grass for as long as you like. With an amazing view of the Arlington cityscape this is a great place to bring your camera and get in a couple of photo shoots. While parking can be a pain sometimes on busy nights, it is definitely worth it.

It had been an amazing evening at the park. The place is so happening and you have so much to do. Dine in at the finest restaurants, or carry your own food and just spend family time. Perfect for walks with kids, scootering, scateboarding too. The kayak and boating/ferry options are like cherry on top. The parking is just $14 flat for weekends and any weekday after 4pm. I dont know why had I missed this place from my most visited spots in DC.

Such a great park, honestly! The surroundings are beautiful and so is the park itself. I’ve been many times, but the most recent time was perfect because of the nice weather. The park provides fantastic views of Arlington and the Kennedy Center - both great things to look at. I’d recommend bringing some food and having a picnic on the grass that’s situated right along the water. Or, if you’re feeling more active, a walk along the water is rewarding, too! As a kid I used to love climbing down the stairs to put my feet into the water, so that’s a good option for kids.

We had a splendid evening walking along the Georgetown waterfront. We met a group of about 30 college students dressed up for Halloween and riding electronic scooters and skate boards-- fun energy added to the evening! There was also a small band playing and we stopped to dance a bit.

Everything about Georgetown is amazing and this waterfront park adds to the delight. It is very well kept and has gorgeous views of Arlington, VA. There are many active people walking throughout the park, while others choose to sit in the grass or by the water. Always many birds hanging around of many different species. As a local - I loved visiting this park often.

It is always very pleasant to take a stroll along the waterfront. One can explore from there the quaint streets of Georgetown or walk along the canal. The ice skating rink in winter is a fun place. The numerous and diverse restaurants offer a nice variety of meals and drinks.

Im a hobbyist photographer and Ive made five weekend excursions there. Youll see countless wildlife, Coast Guard helicopters closeups, and lots of people doing various activities. Support the neighborhood and grab coffee at their many shops. The trip doesnt have to be expensive.Advice: go by 8:30am and park for free underneath the K street underpass where the walking trail begins.

Love this area plenty of shops, restaurants and a park to chill out and relax. I have not experienced any of the restaurants yet, my favorite Italian ice cream shop is there and they have many flavors. I truly recommend this place for family, date night and couples reconnecting keeping their marriage strong. Even though it is right next to the water way there is none of that fishy or diesel smell to bother you. Note* the ice cream shop and many others are open, this pic was taken 04 July 2020.

The park is very cool and a good place to have a picnic or hang out with family and friends. There are a bunch of restaurants, ice cream, etc. And the views are stunning, plus you can do kayak or boating over there. The reason I gave them 4 stars it’s because in the nights they have a plague of rats running everywhere and in all the trash cans, grass and all the park in general. It’s really annoying and scary at the same time.

Not that big as other water fronts in DC but its really nice, beautiful, small and sweet water front where one can go and spend their time inside restaurants or can sit outside. Water Taxi / Ferry is available which will cost you $12 per person for one side from George Town waterfront -> DC Wharf waterfront or George Town waterfront -> Alexandria VA waterfront. But its worth it.

It was a wonderful day and people took full advantage of it. There were many families, singles, couples and pets. Lots of boats were out on the Potomac River, and there were boat tours available. Along the waterfront were a string of restaurants with patios in which the patrons could enjoy the beautiful views. This is a great place to see the river, art sculptures, boats, people and to walk on the nature walks. It’s a bit tricky to get in the parking lot due to being located in high traffic area, but there were plenty of parking spaces when we went.

The sights by the water was nice. Parking was not easy, but if you can find parking, great place to start road cycling into DC tourist attractions. Not many vendors for cyclists to grab a quick bite to eat or drink without leaving your bike unattended. Cant get use to the foul oder in the air as well as people smoking weed towards the end of the waterfront park which observed on a few occasions.

Georgetown waterfront park is a beautiful spot to walk along the Potomac River, people watch, and just take in the views. There’s a labyrinth to walk in one area. And a fountain in another spot. It’s a nice walk or jogging path. Parking can be a challenge so uber or Lyft is suggested. From the waterfront, you can walk to Georgetown’s M street with many shops and restaurants.
