Nice little Oasis of nature in the middle of a populated busy City. Huge trees, Rollin fields of grass and spectacular nighttime views of the Moon. Very peaceful for a place surrounded by businesses. Great picnic area! There are some great Trails as well, roughly half mile to a mile and a half total.

Nice place stroll around downtown the trail at the back can go all the way down to whole foods only three miles round trip

Nice park has play structure ./rock climbing for young ones. Has some interesting workout equip. Due to coronavirus parking was easy.

Wonderful clean family park. Great to bring both kids and dogs. Lots of open space and green grass. Big play structure area. There is a designed walking trail with markers. The Main Library, Civic Park Preschool (city-run), Community Center, and Pottery / Art Studio are also located in this Park too.During the Holiday Season, the community ice rink is built near the free parking lot in the back. This does cause a parking problem when the Preschool is in session during the week.

One of the best parks in WC, a big hit, not sure if they will be having it this year. The ice skating rink. When I have done some charity walks in WC, we start and end at this park. Beautiful spot.

One of the nicer thinks about loving in Walnut Creek. Nice park for kids, areas to throw a ball around, not to mention next to library.

Great place for an early morning workout, my daughter had a colledge assignment to run a mile in 15 minutes and she was able to accomplish this task easily

It became my favorite place for meeting friends in time that everything is closed and you must keep a social distance. here i find nice shade in the summer and beautiful grass to just hang out and have fun .

COVID hot spot. Not one person wear mask, big group gathering, play volleyball, conducting children dance classes.

Fun experience ! Very lively . We just moved to Walnut Creek and this park is big! Well maintained and loved seeing people doing things like dancing, eating and being social.

Had to take my car to be serviced just a couple blocks away. So I took my book and went to Civic Park. It was so pretty, plenty of shade. I hadnt been there for years ...When this thing is over or subsides I will go there much more often, bring my granddaughter to the playground there. .

Its a beautiful spot for families in an outdoor area that is great for everyone to get outside.

Beautiful small park...The town really taking care of grass and look of the park....The trees give a beautiful shade so needed in the Summer. I love to come here to study, there is nice benches and tables to seat. There is also nice playground for kids. Just to come and relax.

Civic Park is Downtown Walnut Creeks recreational skeleton key for tons of fun stuff: The library, the Canal Trail, Ceramics classes, the Dog Park, downtown shopping and dining, etc. We always start there and have a great day.

Best for children

This is a nice park. I love how the picturesque views are good on photos. Definitely instragrammable place. I think my friends would love to try the gazebos here. I highly recommend it!

Great place to visit with the family and a fishing pond and kids can enjoy the kids area with places to climb on.

Connects to a large trail, has a field, has shaded areas, has exercise equipment, is located next to a library, and is near by tasty places. Also has parking.

Great park, a lot of parking space, but somehow public toilet is closed on Saturday. No logic here

Nice place to stroll and have a little picnic with friends. I love the gazebo and the best area to take pictures. Ill definitely visit this park whenever I can.

Nice but people with dogs need to clean up after pet n keep in mind there is a lesh law this IS NOT A DOG PARK!

I loved to relax and read under a tree. The park is interesting with kids place, space to be alone, but some others to be between friends. Good atmosphere inside the city. If you want to break your routine, that is a good place.

Spacious park, but unhoused vagrants occupy benches and picnic table making visits somewhat annoying.

Great park and amazing ice rink, and any child, kid, or adult can go ice skating for just $15. It is a fabulous experience

Unfortunately I had to sit down on the grass, all the benches and tables were full of parents and their kids, since the playground was closed due to Covid19

Great playground for the littles.a fantastic walking trail. The Walnut Creek library is gorgeous with plenty of great activities. and a nearby downtown full of great restaurants and shopping, though expensive.

This park is very clean. The play area is a nice place to take the kids. They also have some work out equipment for the parents that is close to the play area.

Lovely little park right near downtown Walnut Creek. Its usually not busy at least the party work the trail. A great place especially if you have kids. Theres a larger playground for them.

Had a fun time at a homeless event they had please keep the bathrooms clean regularly it smelled pretty mature if you know what I mean.

Very pretty park with lots of big shade trees and a beautiful gazebo. Great place to walk your dog. The childrens play area is only for very small kids though.

Took my kid there after going to the library and he loved running around and going down the slide. Multiple levels of playground allow for a broad range of ages to play there

Its super clean. There are multiple areas for kids, exercise, dogs.You can grill here.The place for dogs is super well maintained.The same space is used during Saturdays for soccer training as well as for frisbee.There is no water for dogs.

This place is without a doubt a yuppie haven. That being said this place is savvy enough to offer something for everyone. From wellness-based activities to clay-work it has it all. Check with the City of Wanut Creek for a listing of activities.

Great Place to bring your kids because there is a big playground & a huge field to play on. Its also a great place to go for a nice stroll.

A great park next to the library. My toddler enjoyed the climbing structures and water spicket for the sand pit. The paths are very nice to walk along and explore

The site today for the start and finish of the Forma annual turkey trot race, a great event and a beautiful location.

My dog likes it- leash law but lots of people are lax about it and let em run around. Except for the usual smattering of rude people its a decent park right off the Iron Horse Trail.

This is a great park. The Walnut Creek library is hear as well as a playground and some “workout” equipment and a nice trail/walking path. I enjoy coming by this park to relax.

Free parking for 3 hours during the weekdays and free on weekends. Located downtown Walnut Creek. Bring a towel or light blanket and you ca sit on the grass and enjoy the shade.

The play ground is nicely covered and the sand pit is so cool! Best playground in the East Bay

Play gym for kids and open grass for playing or picnics. Back field across the bridge is perfect for dogs or the many pickup sports that play there.

Close to downtown, and library. Interactive sculpture is fun.

Discovered some outside exercise equipment over past the senior center...gazebo was closed off today, but the grass was cool and lovely to walk on....
