Totally one of the most beautiful spots Ive seen in the area. Granted, I visited just a few days after a storm rolled through, but the hills were vibrant green and everything was bursting with life. Hardly anyone around. Easy to get away from the sound of traffic. Just beautiful. Easy to get lost in it, in a good way.

Love this place, probably the best trail in the area. A lot of forking of paths so you never take the same way twice! Theres benches to sit and relax on the top of some of the hills, theres a water dispenser for dogs, trail is kept very clean! Theres also a paved trail more towards the bottom of you dont like running on rocky terrain.

Outstanding open space for those that really want a simple no frills series of trails in beautiful hills. Watch out for cows in certain areas, and be aware that many many people do NOT observe the guidelines for where dogs can go, and ESPECIALLY where dogs are not supposed to be off leash. Also realize that there are four or five diffrrent areas all titled Limeridge that span a number of distinct plots on both sides of Ygnacio Valley road. So it is not just one open area. Occasional snakes and a coyote or two so keep an eye open and enjoy!

Lime Ridge Open Space is beautiful and is very nice to do a wide arrangement of different activities. Lime Ridge is an amazing place to exercise by walking, running and an incredible place to walk your dog. Lime Ridge has a great open area which is nice for flying a kite or letting your pet run around. This open space has beautiful views and gorgeous scenery. I completely love this open area and enjoy visiting this location.

Sunrise here is not bad, to say the least. Conveniently located area to get a little exercise, for those of us in Concord or Walnut Creek who need a side of beautiful natural scenery with our walk/jog/ride. Also cant wait to take my guy here- can only imagine its tres romantique taking in the sunset from the top of one of these hills.

I love this place! Watch out for the bikers riding through. Theres trails for bikers and then theres trails for pedestrians. Though, I dont see any rules stating pedestrians cant go on the biking trails, but you just have to be careful and look ahead. It was a great location for taking photos of my dogs!

NO DOGS.A lot of reviews talk about how great this park is for their dogs, but that wasnt what I found when I got there with my two pups. Instead we were greeted by multiple signs prohibiting dogs completely. Another sign mentioned rattlers and ticks, and between that and the NO DOGS signs, I decided not to chance it and just took them to the Diablo foothills.

Just before the entrance to the Borges ranch parking lot if you cut left into the hills and swoop around a power line tower and make your way to the top you can see a horse ranch to your bottom left. This ranch will light up the satellites in the sky. I was fortunate to see the spaceX starlink but it may have also been the a-train. Eighter way its really cool and so is all the wild stuff you hear at 4 a.m. I do recommend you bring a knife b/c Ive seen wild bore, one mountain lion and the skull of a mountain lion with the front teeth looking about an inch long.If you run into one up there no one will hear your getting dismembered. If you have a good headlamp and head for the outer ridge you can see all types and eyeballs staring at you from the surrounding brush making it really unique and if you are really lucky and the fog comes in you will be in for a real treat.

The trails are very nice going up to Lime Ridge Open Space that you can hike or use a mountain bike. There are open areas that are very sunny and some trails that are shady. Once you top the ridge there are beautiful views to the west Walnut Creek with lots of rolling hills and lots of trees or looking east the terrain is hilly, dryer and trees. The area we visited is mostly all uphill until you reach the ridge. You should be aware that there are rattlesnakes that could be on the trail especially during the hotter weather. There are several routes to visit Lime Ridge. The easiest route and shortest is a parking lot off Ygnacio Valley road & Montecito Dr. which is open from 6 am to 6 pm.

Up until last week I would have gave this trail a 5 star. Beautiful scenery, easy access EXCEPT almost getting attacked by 2 pitbulls in front of their owner! I called Concord animal control and they did nothing to send someone out and had me wait 40 minutes just so I can speak to a live person! The rules state the trail is a leashed dog site, but almost everyone over there walks their dogs unleashed and the surrounding residents have a sense of entitlement so youve been warned! If you have a gym membership or alternative place to go please do so! This place is a safety hazard with zero monitoring.

By far one of the best places to go for a walk or a run. Miles of hills and the paths are paved fairly well. There are always cattle grazing (fenced off) and if you hike to the top of the hills there are always great views of the city. Great place to bring your dog on a walk or even a picnic in a secluded part of the fields. Just have to watch out for snakes during certain months.

Great trail running - the trails on the sections north of Treat and south of Ygnacio are the best, the middle section is ok. The south part can get crowded with mountain bikers, so keep your head up if on the single track running uphill. It is the best part of visiting Concord.

Lots of space to run / hike / bike ride. Not a lot of shade so be sure to bring lots of water on those hot days. Theres tons dirt trails and even a paved trail that follows the canal for those who dont want to venture off the trail. Be sure to watch for snakes if you head off trail and check for ticks after you get back. Just a reminder as they are around at certain times of the year.
