Fantastic wilderness area located within minutes of the whole town. I love that it is not one of those mown down planted grass nature parks. The trail is well defined yet not some engineered green way, if you need paved and painted bike trails this is not for you. If however you long for a real hike through a natural forest or gazing across a beautiful lake without a manmade beach head on over you might have just found your new favorite place.

Nice trail to walk on. The available map we had wasnt correct, it said this was a loop. It only goes half way around the reservoir the rest is planned but not completed yet. The trail thats there is quite nice.

Its a great spot to walk and run, but the town closed off a portion of it making it hard to make a loop when mountain biking

Hiked the soft trail here with a hiking group and it was so cool! Its about 1.7 miles each way with beautiful views of the water from within the trees. It actually rained, and we barely got wet because of the tree canopy. Some inclines and uphills. An easy hike. There were 2 kids with us ( ages 4 and 8) and they did it with no issues. Bring bug spray! Ill be back to try kayaking on the water as I saw people doing that as well.

Nice hiking area - easy access and parking. Single track for bikes as well. Rather difficult to cycle - twists and turns, roots and rocks. But not much in elevation.

Good parking, plenty of trails. Some good flow, climbs and descents. A bit too much of flow killed by a sharp turn at bottom of descent designed to kill momentum. For beginners and cardio-nuts great but intermediate skilled riders New Light or Oxford Rd would probably be better.

Great mountain biking trails on the West and East Side. West side is very well marked, East Side not so much. These are intermediate trails with lots of roots and short steep climbs, definitely not beginner trails.

A really nice trail for walking or running. Very shady trails making this my favorite place to run in the summer. Watch out for the roots, though. Ive hurt my ankles a few times. I also go kayaking here. About a 15min paddling trip from one end to the other. I know a lot of people go fishing out on their kayaks though I havent done so myself. Actually, I saw a guy pulling up a fish while I was on the trail today. Nice place to exercise or just relax.

Great walking or mountain biking trail, but challenging. Several narrow areas and small streams to cross with fair to good wooded bridges. Helpful hint, if you start at the reservoir end and travel north to the end, Oak Grove Church Road then you can turn around after 1.8 miles. To break up the rough trail and not having to double back, at the end head west towards Envision Science Academy. Be mindful that you must walk the road for about .5 miles then access paved trails and sidewalks thru the Traditions Grande neighborhood. The trek back to the reservoir is 3.8 miles total. Also beware of the spider webs, the leader will have a face and mouth full...lol.
