Love this park!! The trails, amenities and overall landscape is amazing. My daughter met friends there for a group project and I was able to do a 5 mile virtual run inside the park.
This place is huge, spent over 10 minutes just trying to find the area in the park where my little boy had been invited to a birthday party.Tons of people out and still plenty of personal space. Seems like an ideal something to do on a nice day to get you off the couch.Great for kids and seeing lots of Happy dogs out here.
This is an essential component to Wake Forest suburban living. Whats better than an easily accessible park with easy, scenic walkways, beautiful tree lined paths, open fields, an historic buildings, all kept pristine by a dedicated park service? Answer? Nothing that I could imagine. Enjoy, but try to hit the trails at less obvious times, as a sunny Saturday afternoon will not see you being the only person in town with the great idea of hitting the park.Cons: only one. Once again Wake Forest is allowing some builder to come right up to the edges, and in some parts, right INTO the park with yet another housing development. Next comes what, another strip mall, Burger King and some more lovely franchise nonsense that NOBODY ASKED FOR.Wake Forest government: find another way to raise income besides this, or giving traffic summonses. See? What started as a happy go lucky review of a great local park ends up sour grapes. THAT is the end result of over-building our beautiful SMALL town.
Super busy when I went and only saw 2/100+ people wearing masks and respecting social distancing. The police should have been out handing out citations.
Absolutely love this park! Very large with lots of room for open play as well as walking. I have not been to the new community center but I am excited to see it. I highly recommend going for a picnic, place to play, or place to walk/run.
Beautiful spot. Very large, havent been able to explore entire park yet. Play area for small kids is wonderful. Great landscaping and trails throughout. Very spread out, plenty of room for all to enjoy and keep a 6 ft distance.
Although I Live On The Whole Other Side Of Town I Truly Love This Park .... The People Of This Town Are Very Difference From Most Places Here In Raleigh... They Were Very Very Kind. The Park Is Amazing, It’s Very Spacious And Architecturally Beautiful. This Was My 1st Visit However It Won’t Be My Last
My daughter and I had a picnic lunch. It was a picture perfect day! A group of people from local churches set up and played wonderful Christian music! An unexpected, but very welcomed surprise!Very lovely park!
Awesome park, great for social distance. We just need some talant like gospel music, smooth jazz, etc.(local talent). To enjoy while spending time at this park. Very relaxing.
This is such a gorgeous park. Great playground for the kids, beautiful trails, and some nice buildings and all to look at. They also have some great community events here throughout the year.
Go visit it. A place worth going. Will do a detailed review with pictures later but for now i will say this is one of the most cleanest and beautiful park with tons of trails, picnic spots and shelters and huge parking space. It big beautiful and worth spending whole day kind of park. Rest rooms are very clean and park is very well kept.
Really nice. Loved the old buildings and fun trails! Definitely going back soon. Went before 4 and wasnt crowded but as we were leaving a lot of people were pulling up.
Good place to walk and get some sun. Clean restrooms, reasonable amount of parking spaces. Trails are nice and well maintained along with a few all-season workout equipments along the walkway. Nice community center.
Enjoyed time at J. Park with my grandchildren ages 5 years, 2 years and 2.5 weeks. Fun, safe, and well kept. Look forward to visiting again soon.
Nice playground but always crowded. Beautiful paved trails.
Great park, especially in the fall - plenty of space to spread out and relax.
Beautiful local park with lots of walking paths and natural spaces. Its well maintained and very clean every time we visit. We love to use Carroll Joyner Park for engagement sessions because of the natural beauty and the sprawling space so you can make images without interfering with park guests enjoying the place.
Young kids enjoyed the farm buildings. Nice trails and walking paths. Plenty of space to spread out in.
Nice clean park with lots of walkways. The bathrooms are clean. It is a busy park especially when kids get out of school.
Such a beautiful spot in Wake Forest. So great to be outdoors and yet feel like a part of history.
This park is amazing! The bathrooms are clean, the fields are huge, walking trails extensive, playground safe...what more could you want?
We love this park. Our kids have always loved running in and out of the cabins, I love the walking paths, big trees, and the swing benches.
Cool park! Big open space with lots of grass and paved trails.
Very nice and clean.....Not crowded....Had a really good time......
Love this park. Always clean and great walking area
Its Soo fun to take the kids here for a walk.
Simply gorgeous...every season! Such a beautiful place to gave in our town!!
Always a nice relaxing time at this park very clean and well kept great for photography as well as prom pictures or any family event photos very nice park overall
Beautiful park. It has a walking track, dog park, and baseball field. Amazing
Family enjoyed it!! Nice for social distancing
Ive been going here for a while and I love what theyre doing with all the additions! At the time of writing this its 2020 lockdown, so I havent yet been able to take a look inside the community center, but Im looking forward to seeing what theyve done once quarentine ends. The only thing that I would want is the addition of tennis courts to the park master plan, but regardless this is a beautiful park and a great place for a morning walk!
Such a fun place to ride bikes.
Always a great place to get the kids outdoors. Whether playing Frisbee Golf, running, biking, or just walking through the Pecan Grove you will get lost in all the beauty the outdoors has to offer!!!
This a beautiful and event-ready park. Plenty of trails to walk, places to picnic and lots of areas for children to play. The community center offers walking track, basketball court, exercise equipment and more. It is free to Wake Forest residents. Recommended for all ages.
Great park with lots of space for kids and dogs. There should be more picnic tables though and shade in the mid day is hard to find.
We live very close to Joyner and go often . My wife doesnt like the new building that has been added, but I think it was done well. The walking trail with exercise locations is quite nice. The events that they have there like the movies in summer and live music are ways good. I do hope it doesnt get too developed though. Nice park for a great area
Spacious, well maintained, beautiful park. No playgrounds, but fantastic spot to bring your dog, a picnic lunch, and/or Frisbee!UPDATE! This park now has 2 fabulous playgrounds!!!! 1 for toddlers/pre-k children and another for school-aged kids!
So beautiful. Pictures, weddings, picnics-perfect.
They have good swings. Some needed a little oil though.
Great place to breathe fresh air
The town has made great use of this former dairy farm land donation and over the years has added more and more recreational services to the public. The park itself has miles of paved walking trails suitable for walkers, dog walkers and wheelchairs. The trail itself wanders through beautiful terrain, pastures, woodlands, stone walls, log barns and streams. There are bathrooms at the parking lots. The new indoor recreational center is state-of-the-art and has ample parking for its events.
This is the crown jewel of Wake Forest. This park has plenty of photographic opportunities. There are several barn-like structures and a lake for great picture taking. There is also over a mile of paved walking trails which also includes workout stations. There are several swinging benches scattered around the parks center for you to rest and enjoy the view.
Nice walking or running spot.
Really nice park with walking trails, a pond and nice views of the country side.
Love this park! I would highly recommend the marked trails!
Lots of open space and waking trails. Well maintained.
This parks main building is very nice and very new. It has a nice basketball court with new seating, nice eco-friendly bathrooms, vending machines and places to sit with comfortable chairs and a track to walk/run upstairs. Outside of the building, it has trails to walk and very scenic. Didnt see too much of the park but what I saw was good enough for me to want to come back and explore.
Great new park! Fun for small and older kids. Lots of benches for the parents (and grandparents) to watch. Right next to a nice new community center with a track, tint area with weights, some exercise equipment, a dance studio and basketball courts AND bathrooms. Lots of parking
This is one of the best and beautiful open spaces. Grab a blanket and find a tree and relax for a hour or so.
Great place for a stroll, picnic or a jog. If I lived closer, Id definitely come here to jog often.
Getting ready for Arbor Day, next weekend. We had a very nice walk and the grounds are beautiful
My favorite park to walk & enjoy the scenery. We have often picnicked here as well. The new community center and playground are beautiful and offer many activities for children & adults.
Love the trails, picnic areas and the relaxing atmosphere of this park.
Great trail! Easy to follow with great signage. Cool work out machines along the way
Large park that is very well kept
Great place with lots of cool events, nature, history, and now a large recreation building with classes from dance to cooking and photography. Theres a great playground too. Take the kids and enjoy the fruits of the tax dollars.
Great outdoor walking trails. Indoor gym, walking track, exercise machines, weights as well as shower rooms and lockers. There is also a big playground area for the kids and several historical buildings on the property. There are several areas for events and many scheduled classes ranging from yoga to pickel ball.Kids league sorts also are scheduled on a regular basis.
Great for a walk with your children and pets or just a run Quiet, friendly people and amazing views.
Amazing facility. Joined on first visit. Very cheap; free for Town of Wake Forest taxpayers. Extremely small weight area (maybe 10x10?) But great for quick workouts.
This is a beautiful park with plenty of trails and benches and swings. A great place to be in community while maintaining social distance.
Nice walking/biking paths. Great open areas for playing along with an amphitheater and gardens. There is a new playground area and activities center with lots of different things for all ages.
So much fun! Took the kids bikes and they had a blast
As a family, we Love Joyner Park. Tomorrow I will pick up my card to use the recently opened community center. I look forward to seeing this center for the first time.. I recommend this park to all.
Great amenities, beautiful spaces, marked trails
My family loves this park! Open air and plenty of Greenspace! The trails! The new playground with the rubber flooring! Great outdoor spot! Movies at the park during the summer!
A great place for walking pictures or just enjoying the outdoors!
Great place to run, walk, bike, take the kids or dogs
Very well designed, well kept.
This park is really scenic. Very well taken care of. Peaceful. You can actually hear birds singing. You can read a book here without interruptions. There are lots of folks walking their dogs and meeting with friends.
Great place to just chill out and people watch, or go for a nice stroll in the walking path. Clean park with nice wide open spaces for activities and the grounds are kept up nicely.
Peaceful, clean and you feel safe with others who are walking.
Joyner Park isnt your usual kind of City park! How many City Parks have you seen that have a restored tobacco barn & a grove of pecan trees? Along with those are beautiful vistas, nice, paved walking trails, a pond to fish, an amphitheater with lawn seating for 1,000, a butterfly growth & protection area & a super community building! There are other amenities I havent mentioned that youll have to visit to discover. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
Park is very well kept and easily accessible to WF. Nice variety of trails/paths.
Large, open play areas, jog/bike paths, fishing...a great local asset! Plenty of parking.
A great park! There are pleasant trails and great green space. The new playground is a wonderful addition to an already wonderful park.
Beautiful park with lots of trailsterriffic
Love the topography. A nice blend of nature with log cabins, exercise workstations, and other interesting scenes along your walking trail. Joyner is my favorite walking trail in the triangle.
Great park to walk and enjoy nature
Great place for excercise in the beauty and peacefulness of Gods creation.
Great Community Center! Bball court is very nice. Walking track around the top. Dance studio. Kitchen. Lots of places to sit and relax. The playground is great too
This is such a beautiful park!!
AMAZING CLEAN FAMILY PARK!! LETS KEEP OT OUR SECRET...OOOPS
Brought my daughter here to take her senior pictures and wow this is beautiful! Will definitely be back to do more pictures
Huge beautiful park!
Great walking trails, amphitheatre and scenery. The rec center is also incredible. If you live in Wake Forest, this is the best park.
Good for my daughter she loves IT there very open
Great park...it is so spacious and so many different trails.
Great place to spend few minutes or many hours
My daughter loves going to play in the grass. We bring sidewalk chalk and frisbees. The park is clean as are the bathrooms. its a great place for family fun or pictures.
Gorgeous green space, trails for walking or biking. Kids can run free, explore and have fun without a playground. Bring a blanket to sit, not a lot of benches
This is a beautiful small park. Great play area for kids. Lots of green and shady trees and great picnic area. This place is mostly used as an entry point to the Greenway, and its great for that, but it has a nice little charm all its own that if you walk the fields or even around them on the path you have a far quieter experience and much less hectic than sharing the path with all the bikes, dogs and runners. I really like this place and it is super convenient.A Walk In The ParkI enjoy walking the trails and being amongst the beautiful trees and green space Joyner has to offer. It’s also a great place to bring my grandchildren to ride their bikes and scooters.
