I have been on a group trail ride before, but this experience is my favorite. The Bluffs are beautiful and our guide was really friendly.She knew a lot about the place and made it fun. She made sure everyone was comfortable with their horse before we headed out to the trail. Our guide made sure to stop and take photos of us all on our horses.The horses are always a little unpredictable but we had an easy drama free ride. I highly recommend trying out the horseback riding at Brazos Bluffs.The 90 minute group trail is just long enough to have a nice ride and it’s affordable. They have many other options for private rides, couples, kids, and sunset rides with drinks and little picnic at the top of the hill.

This was an EXTREMELY PEACEFUL part of our trip to Waco. Hannah and Ricky were our guides and they created an awesome experience for us. It was the highlight of the week for our kiddos. We thought it would be way too hot for the ride, but it wasnt the case because most of the ride was in wooded areas. The horses did great and the scenery was amazing. I would recommend this experience for anyone stopping thru Waco.

Nice adventure on the back of the horses going through the ranch to the Brazos River. The staff was great, and horses were so good and calm: suitable for every age.

Today was a beautiful day for a trail ride. There were 6 in our group. 3 adults and 3 kids (7,8,9 yrs old). We brought my son for his birthday and had a blast. He cant stop talking about it. Taylor was our guide. She was super sweet and very good with the kids. The kids are already asking to go to the summer camp and come back again for their birthdays next year... Thank you Taylor ️

The guides were absolutely great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. My group and I had a great time riding the trails as we were able to simply sit back and relax due to the amount of experience the horses have.

Experienced and kind guides allow riders the trail riding experience. Meander through shaded groves, wild flower prairies and atop scenic bluffs over looking the ravines below. Highly recommended for new and experienced riders.

Our sunset trail ride was spectacular! Lem and his team were knowledgeable and helpful. The ride through the forest was calm and cool, a great reprieve from the hot June sun. The view from the cliffs over the Brazos has to be one of the prettiest in Texas. We will absolutely be returning!

Great horseback ride with Ricky as our guide. It was wonderful!

I took my family for an adventurous 1 hour horse back ride at Brazos Bluffs a couple days ago. We arrived at 10am and were greeted by Trail Guide Ricky Bates. My 7 year old was riding for her very first time and my wife and son were riding for the 2nd time. I must say Ricky was tremendous! He understood immediately that my family would need a little more help than the average rider and helped my daughter overcome her immediate fear once she got on the horse.I couldnt ride myself but was welcomed to take a hike on the property while my family went riding. The trails through the woods were very well kept and there was plenty of birds to check out as well as plant life. I thoroughly enjoyed my hike and relaxing wait on the rocking chairs for my family to return. They all arrived safe and with some of the biggest smiles I have ever seen on their faces.I would recommend Brazos Bluffs to everyone. We simply had a day trip to Waco to check out Magnolia but came away with the horse back riding as the highlight of the entire day surpassing every other experience we had in town.

My kids loved this! Lem is a great guide, and very kind. One of my children had fear of riding by herself, but Lem calmed her worries, and the horse she rode was perfect. She was smiling the whole ride! We’ll be back soon!

The day was perfect. The view was great. Nice enjoyable ride. Horses were friendly. We really liked our guide. Very friendly and made sure we were informed and comfortable. Very knowledgeable of the horses.

It was really nice to go in a horseback riding. It indefinitely for beginners since you are not allowed to ride by yourself. The property is really beautiful and the personnel are supper attentive.

The guide was very nice and the trail ride was fun with a lot of scenic views! The horses were beautiful & tame & one of them was comical! I enjoyed myself & loved Billy the Palamino I rode! I would love to ride there again sometime & I told some friends

Excellent horse, guide and views..definitely will do this trail ride again

It is a very nice cabin to stay at. The river access and fishing was excellent. It is worth noting you cannot see the river from the cabin. Wildlife spotted: bald eagle, deer, snakes, variety of fish, hawks. Heard coyote pups as well. All in all a good time can be had here with ease.

I’ve been on a few horseback rides in the past, but this was by far the best! The owners are very hospitable and would literally give you the boots off their feet if you needed them! That’s the type of people they are! Ricky was an outstanding guide giving us lessons and tips on horse riding and even some history and stories about the area! The ride was beautiful and so enjoyable! My friend was a little timid to go at first and by the end she was wishing that it had been a longer ride! Ricky and Jeremy were great! We went as a big group of 10 and it was a nice experience. A lot of us were itching to do more than just follow the trail but others in our group had little to no experience so we couldnt. Horses were very obedient and beautiful. We arrived, signed waivers, and were helped onto our horses and given tips and instructions on how to ride. But many of the horses know what theyre doing so I never felt unsafe. Beautiful view of the river towards the end of the trail and they take free pictures of you/your group which they share with you after the ride.

We loved the ride with Lem, we did it as our last activity on the way out of town. It ended up being the highlight of our trip!

I’m visiting from New York and a friend recommended we go here. The whole experience was a dream come true! Not only was everyone so friendly, but educated me on what to do and how to respond with the horses that made riding one feel natural.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at Brazos this past Wens. and it was wonderful! The weather called for rain on our original day and they we’re so nice to offer the night before so we wouldn’t have to cancel. We did the sunset option and brought our own bottle of wine and it was so romantic, we highly recommend anyone visiting the area to choose Brazos!

I was petrified to get on the horse! Ricky helped me so much,walked me through everything and calmed my nerves! He shmoozed the whole trail ride,so that 20 minutes in, i was so comfortable, I fell in love with the horse,and now i want one. Highly recommend for newbies like myself and everyone! This is a non-touristy ranch with a hometown feel perfect for anyone. The owners personally stayed late to take our group of 6 on a sunset ride. So glad we decided to come!

Really enjoyed our ride. We have two little girls ages 6&8 with no riding experience and they had a blast. They were take what to do and it guide had the patience to help them when they needed it!

Went to Brazos yesterday with my wife and two daughters. My youngest (6 yrs old) has ridden small horses before was a little nervous being on such a large horse. Before the ride began, she said she didnt want to go. Instead of letting her and her mom off, Rick our guide took the guide rope and told her to relax and he would help her out. He kept her by his side for the entire ride, talking with her and making her comfortable. Halfway through the first half of the ride, she was completely comfortable and enjoying the ride. He did a great job! I would highly recommend this place for inexperienced riders and those who want to go for a nice scenic ride along nice trails. I will definitely be going back.

Very peaceful ride. I went in the morning and all the butterflies were about with the wildflowers in bloom. The Brazos river was over its banks and it was amazing to look above it in its grandure. Our guide was very pleasant and knew when to speak and when to let nature do its thing. I will return and tell others.

We are from California and my husband doesnt really ride but found Brazos Bluffs Stables as a surprise for me and we did the sunset ride with our guide Ricky Bates and it was awesome. Very gentle horses and Ricky was great. We will be back in Texas in 2 years and will be riding with them again!

Myself and my daughter went on 3/21/19. For her 18 birthday she has never ridden before. We had a great ride it is a beautiful place and the horses were very gentle we felt very safe. If you want a great riding experience with friends or family I highly recommend this place.

I went on a trail ride with Lem (hope Im spelling that right) and it was majestic. Such a beautiful property and I am a novice horseback rider and they just made it so easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend a visit! Our family stayed at the cabin and it was heaven on earth. We cant wait to return.

Beautiful location overlooking the river, surrounded by forest and far from it all! Ideal for our Dinner & Ride for 16 yesterday. Hannah and her team prepared a fabulous steak dinner with Lem a master of the Argentinian grill! Lovely unexpected details like fresh flowers, candles and a keyboardist inside a screened in pavilion with open fire in the center. Relaxed atmosphere with a large deck and cafe lights from which to watch the sun set. All four courses tasted great, the care of staff was outstanding and the atmosphere so serene. Definitely come for a ride, or pair it with a dinner. You won’t be disappointed!
