A great short Museum experience. Guns of every kind are on display. The TExas Rangers were an essential piece of their ability to become a State. The 40 min film needs some updating but its still quite interesting and well as all the displays. Being a Tennessean I was surprised how big a part the (TN) frontiersmen played in TX independence.
I really enjoyed this museum. The movie was good and candid about the history of the Texas Rangers. I enjoyed reading about some impressive lawmen. My hat is off to those who dedicated their lives to protect and safeguard others. I would certainly invite you to see it for yourselves.
Loved the video presentation of the History of Rangers!! The museum is clean with friendly employees! They give Law Enforcement discounts. Cute gift shop!! So much to see, we could have stayed all day. Go see for yourselves....you wont be disappointed!
Very interesting museum. Lots of nice paintings, guns, and information from the Texas Rangers, including Bonnie and Clyde items. I learned a lot there.
Very detailed museum. Lots to see and learn. Was worth my visit.
This is where we hold our Republican Club meetings. Its a wonderful venue. Spacious. Beautiful view of the river out the windows and of McLane Stadium across the river.
What a great museum and history tour. The collection of antique weapons is worth the price of entry alone. Learned some really cool facts about the history of the Texas Rangers and its connection to Rogers Rangers. Will definitely do it again on next trip to Waco.
This was an awesome place. Upon entering they show a movie documentary it was really good and help me understand how the Texas Rangers were formed, and such rich history lesson. All of the actual artillery that was used in those days,I was amazed this is a full day for history lovers texas history. 5 stars from me,onenof the best things I have ever done.
Very interesting and informative. The displays are so complex with artifacts and pictures. Some beautiful western paintings are incredible. Stay for the 45 min movie!
Nice collection of weapons and other interesting stuff. The video about the rangers is old and a little bit boring, in particular for a younger audience.
Great place, love the personal artifacts of the officers. Must see. The video is the best way. It starts at 2 I believe, and lasts 45 minutes. We were able to park an RV.
Fun museum which tells the good, the bad and the ugly of Texas Ranger lore, legend and history. The movie is a little long at 45 minutes, but offers plenty of insight.
Awesome stuff to see. Gift shop is very pricey bit very cool to see pieces of history, a little bummed they didnt have any walker texas ranger stuff in their pop culture area but they had the lone ranger
I walked throughout the museum and enjoyed it very muchThe movie is a must see. There are a couple of rocking horses for the little ones. The paintings are really good for the most part although most seem to be of recent vintage. The pistols and rifles seem to be original I was impressed with the display of an original Bowie knife from 1838. This museum is right off I-35 in Waco Texas and real easy to find.
What a great museum! So inspiring and thoughtful in representing the law enforcing of the Texas Rangers. Shows what wonderful work has been done by these great officers!
Beautifully done and well organized! Peaceful grounds as well. Very inexpensive and full of history!
The ranger museum was awesome and had alot of cool things. Will be going back.
If you live in Texas or just visiting, going to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame is a must. I enjoyed learning about thier history and all they do... even today.
We arrived a little bit late, but in the time that we had what I saw was very good. They had lots of weapons and history.
Great place, lots of information about the Texas Rangers!!
We saw the water, walked through the walking trail while seeing all the beautiful and colorful rocks on the columns of the bridge, the lake looked beautiful and full of life even though it was night time. The bridge lights grabbed most of the attention with the passive blues and purples reflecting all over the water. We were able to see the McLane Stadium front entrance and some of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame statues. There were even picnic tables all over to sit down and enjoy the view that not many get to experience at night.
Very interesting. An excellent collection of Ranger history.
Great museum filled with a lot of Texan history. I went in there knowing only the basics of the Texas Rangers and I came out wanting to be a Texas Ranger myself! It was my first visit but I would definitely return. Staff was friendly and it is a very clean place.
Very cool and lots of information I wasnt expecting.
Lots of history and artifacts. They have a lot of guns on display as well as stories of past Rangers. If the old west and its muddy history is your thing you will enjoy it much more than someone with a casual interest.
Great time with so much to see. I wish we had planned more time to enjoy the history.
Amazing history and well presented. Would definitely recommend people taken an hr or 2 and discover the history of how the Texas Rangers became such an amazing part of the great state of Texas
An absolute awesome experience that Im actually down to go back to again. You cant really absorb it all in one visit. From the exhibits to the video presentation, youre gonna be impressed with the information stored and presented. Absolutely worth at least two visits!
Great place to learn about the people who helped protect the state of Texas. A really great experience that I didnt expect from the little building. Yes you have to wear masks and the interactive exhibits are not functioning because of COVID, but nothing too major.
Beautiful museum. Lots of Texas history. Well laid out and preserved. Worth visiting. Very cool and interesting.
Cool place with lots to see. Definitely very detailed.
They have a fun lil scavenger hunt that helps get you interacting with the displays... That Hideaway Helga sure knows how to hide!!
Great place to visit, staff were very helpful!
Very interesting about the Rangers. How they started till modern day. Lots of firearms to see.
Came with my fiancé for a Romantic walk.
Interesting place. The museum movie also shared a lot of history about the state of Texas itself, which was welcome to this newcomer to the state!
Great place for history on Texas Rangers. I wish Michigan State Police would open a facility like this.
Great place. So much to see and read about. You could spend a couple of hours there taking it all in. Here are a few pictures of what is there.
Lots of interesting history and pictures. The guns that were on display were awesome!
It was very informative and interesting history. Learned a lot from video shown about how the Texas Rangers Started. Wow!
Had a great time at this museum. An in depth look on the history of Texas finest. They also provide a small documentary played in their theater for an even more insightful understanding of the Rangers. Definitely recommended trip.
This place is full of history and information on the Texas Rangers. Worth the trip to check it out.
Dont miss this attraction across the Brazos River from the football stadium in Waco. It really captures the history of this institution and its officers.
Great place and source for Texas history as well. Excellent site for learning about Texas Rangers!
Wonderful exhibits, just was blown away
Very indepth history of the Texas Rangers from their origin to today. Beautiful museum and gift shop.
I could spend hours at this place. I come here often when visiting Waco.
Great place to learn history of the Texas Rangers lawmen. Enjoyed it immensely.
I liked it but they need a newer updated video
It is worth the drive if youre a gun buff. Their collection is exceptional. From the 1830s to the 1940s
If you are a Texan or want to be a Texan, every body in one of these, a visit to the Texas Ranger Museum is a must. Throughly enjoyed every minute spent. Loved the exhibits and the individual stories of Rangers. These modern day lefties can spin it all they want, they will never rip the glory from the Texas Rangers.
Amazing place. Nice to see, read history of Texas and part of history of Waco! Pleased to know this place.
Very interesting, informative and nice people.
Loved the movie about history of theTexas Rangers. The displays were very interesting, and beautifully arranged. Fun outing for adults and children of any generation. Staff is extraordinary. Can answer questions, and take group photos. This will be a go-to outing to take out-of-state visitors! Great way to help them understand the history and culture of Texas.
You need to go there & make sure you go in ALL the rooms. Start to finish. Very good story.
Awesome..nice set up and lots of things to see. Movie was interesting.
It was a wonderful walk through history! Great staff, great artifacts and photos on display. Our only suggestion for improvement would be the size of the type on the descriptive plaques inside or adjacent to the displays. Several people in our group were having trouble reading the fine print. Enhanced lighting might make the print easier to read. A must see for anyone over 50.
Great place to visit. The exhibits are fantastic
Lots of history here for such a small building. Theres an amazing firearms display. The video, though a bit old is very much worth watching. Highly recommended if youre in the area with some time to kill.
I was pumped to finally get to visit this place. There is so much to see and read and since we got there an hour and 45 mins before closing, we had to rush through quite a bit of it. We watched the video, and it was really nice to have some more perspective before reading through all of the displays. There are also some cool interactive displays, such as a pistol reload and assembly and other items of that nature. Wonderful museum overall, and if I have time in the future, I’ll have to stop by again.
It was very amazing going around so much history all in one building
Visited San Antonios Texas Ranger Museum last year...$20. for 30 minutes of predominant photos and some weaponry.Recently visited Texas Ranger Museum on the Baylor campus in Waco for $6. and spent half a day enjoying the museum...first class exhibits and so much to see. Also a movie of the history of the Texas Rangers...worth the trip to Waco TX.We followed up with the BEST BBQ at Rudys..awesome day well spent!!
Interesting place, full of history. Take your time visiting each section of the museum. There is a movie/ documentary about the Texas Rangers that last 45 minutes so consider that in your visit. Prices in the gift shop are way to high in my opinion.
Meh.....not really a lot to see. 30 year old film to watch
I thought this place was amazing! Totally worth the field trip from Palestine to visit. I loved the rich history and our tour guide Audrey did a wonderful job with her tour. Thank you from Palestine Youth Corps!
Have been here a few times. I love Law Enforcement history and firearms history, so this is a must see for me. They also have a nice section about Bonnie and Clyde, as well as information about Texas early history and civil issues. The staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend it for locals and visitors alike. Waco has so much history to offer that is often overlooked.
Very cool place! nice flow to the museum and very friendly staff. a lil chilly so maybe bring a jacket
Wonderful place for a Texan to visit or a passing tourist. Something for everyone to be found here.
My son LOVED visiting this place! I loved seeing all the artifacts and infographics while he excited in the museum scavenger hunt. The movie was a great watch. This place would make an amazing field trip for a lucky school.
I took my Grandson here on his first trip. I hope he enjoyed as much as I did. The history, the detail, the legacy. Its men like these that made Texas great.God Bless Texas
So much information and great exhibits that depict the history of Texas and the Texas Rangers.
Incredibly interesting facts on the history of Texas Rangers. There are a lot articles on display to show just how far we have come. There was not a lot to interact with or personnel to elaborate on some of the details. With such a fascinating career and always full of action I was hoping for more.
Was so interesting and the lady who greeted us was so very nice
Great place to stop and see some history and weaponry
Had a surprisingly good time with the kids delving into some Texas history and seeing a great deal of weaponry used by the Rangers. A lot of original an donated historic pieces.
If youre a gun enthusiast this is the place to go.
This place was awesome. Lots of history and guns about Texas. Great film show in the back.
Amazing the amount of historic guns and badges from previous texas rangers.
Very good place to learn about some of Texas history.
If you watch the film first the rest of the museum comes alive. So much history is there, peoples stories and things that they use to survive. Beautifully displayed I totally recommended.
This is a wonderful place to come and learn the history of the oldest law enforcement agency in Texas
This a great place to go so much to see and learn i been here a few times i like this museum so much to learn their all ways something new to see. A must go to great historical things to learn for all age groups.you will like it.
Interesting, leisurely place to visit. Lots of rooms and different displays - things you can touch and fun facts. Theres even a scavenger hunt for kids! The pop culture room and gift shop were my favorite. Definitely want to see the film next time.
Went to a LWV candidate forum, helped with event set-up. I 35 construction made finding Knox Hall somewhat difficult and leaving, too. Actual building spacious, clean, adequate # of tables/chairs available. Personnel were helpful. Parking for as many attendees somewhat limited, and rain did not help.Overall, the facilities were appropriate, no complaints.
Excellent museum! I love the historical video, but it would be awesome to meet a real Ranger too. The history of the Rangers is totally cool. The amazing collection of artifacts is simply...AMAZING! Well worth the time and money, and THANKS for the military discount
Great museum. So interesting.
The Texas Ranger Museum was amazing! They have so many artifacts and stories that present the history of the Texas Rangers in such an enjoyable fashion. The gift shop is a bit overpriced, but thats to be expected. They also have a movie that gives a wonderful presentation of the history of the Texas Rangers from their founding all the way to present day. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon here and learning about the Texas Rangers. 5/5
Great piece of Texas history! Lots of fun activities for the kiddos too!
I went here on vacation and there is so much information packed in this place it is amazing
This was a great introduction to a slice of Texan history. While the exhibits may have benefited from a little more order, the information on display dating from inception to current day Rangers (including the hall of fame!) was excellent, and the artwork included some really beautiful paintings - if you enjoy that sort of thing
Lots of information on this law agency and their part on shaping Texas history. Also fun media view of the Rangers.
Fascinating look into the history of the Rangers.
Loved it. Excellent collection of old firearms.
Oh the History you find here!!! It is AMAZING!!! I had no idea how deep the Texas Rangers went back in history. If you go through Waco it is a must to visit!!
Very informative. Clean and friendly staff. Has a 45 minute info movie that is full of interesting facts about the Rangers.
