I love to take the John boat out. Try to launch in different places for a little change in scenery. Always see dolphins and a variety of water birds. Go island hopping to try to find a place to camp overnight. I must say there are quite a few islands that have picnic tables and even a toilet occasionally.

This place was beautiful, we camped for two nights on one of the islands and it was very peaceful and relaxing.

A pretty area for boating and sailing. Several derelict boats from hurricanes past are poignant reminders of how quickly weather can turn. Lots of birds and occasional dolphin sightings.

Love this place. The fishing is excellent. We saw dolphins with their babies and Manatees and all kinds of birds. If you are a nature lover, this place is for you. Cant wait for our next visit.

Very hot and lots of mosquitoes, its florida after all, saw lots of little crabs and butterflies and a little black snake :) path looks maintained well, not a lot of litter

Open spaces if you look for them. So-so fishing (bureau that is why they call it fishing, not catching). A nice escape...

There are many, many spoil iislands in the Indian River. This is a beautiful river. I have used Pepper Park Riverside Park to launch my kayaks. Then its wide open. Let your imagination be your guide.

Great way to spend the day.Left from vero beach. Cruised down the lagoon into the Indian River and stopped at Jimmys in ft pierce for a bite. Great afternoon

We got a mooring there for $25 a night, got free water taxi, complimentary showers and laundry. It was right in Historic St. Augustine. Good people, good times, A must

Great place to fish. Look up chasing tides fishing charters in Vero Beach for a great fishing experience. He is a great captain and will put you on the fish or take you out sight seeing.

Clear water with a variety of wildlife. I fish this area frequently and catch many different species and always see something interesting like a porpoise, manatees, large turtles, osprey, herons, cranes, etc. The islands also offer a place to stretch your legs and explore. I see others camping on them as well. Just a little patch of paradise.

Beautiful area. Lots of recreation spoil islands to camp, picnic, and sunbath on. Great fishing around the islands, seagrass flats, and mangrove fringe. The water around Ft. Pierce Inlet is beautiful on an incoming tide.
