Very spacious park with lots of shade. They have separate small and big dog areas. Water hoses and lots of balls available in the park. People are friendly too.

Used to really like this park years ago, upkeep isnt great now. Also, theres a group(s) of people there with no control over their dogs. The type who keep saying the dogs names but they never respond to them as they aggressively bark and charge at you. Its a shame bad owners have to plague this place.Was chatting with my neighbor across the street while our two played together and he said he had the same experience and never returned, I doubt I will either.

Nice dog park ample room to walk around with your dog if you like playground nice brings you close to Mother Nature because theres Alligator River right there

I love this place!! Dont even have to worry about bringing tennis balls theres plenty there. Never have any problems with aggressive dogs.

Took my dog there at 6:30am for his first time so he could be introduced at a quiet time. It was fantastic. Clean, quiet, and peaceful.

Nice place, nice people out with their dogs. Free poop bags, water, picnic tables, and tennis balls. Lots of shade. Wasnt wet but if it is your pooch will get a bit dirty. A lot of sandy dirt. Fairly large with a separate small dog park. Walking trails outside of the dog area. Nice restrooms up by the parking lot.

I have taken my dog here on several occasions. It is big alright, but very dirty. If he gets a chance to romp with like energy, it always means a bath is inevitable. It also lacks the commraderie of other dog parks. People here tend be a little more clicky and standoffish. Scout prefers the walk by the creek to that paw park.

Terrific place, run, walk and play. Check the scenery on the way in to the fenced in area. Dont forget to water your pooches!

This was a very well cared park up til about 3 yrs ago. I visit this park every day for the last 8 yrs, the condition keeps going down, the palm trees are never trimmed like they used to be. The grassy areas are now leaves and mulch.

Big park tons of room! Not a ton of grass, mostly sand and mulch.

We take our puppy here and she loves to run free. The problem is my dog tries to dig under the fence to get into the large dog park and it is just dirt and sand. They need to put some bricks or stones under some of the areas so the dogs cant dig under. People dont always watch their dogs and mine was bite as soon as we walked into the small dog area and no, she wasnt still on the leash. Owners bring their not so nice dogs in knowing they do not play well with others. Not a good place to bring an unfriendly dog.

The small dog section is pretty small and doesnt offer much in way of room to throw a ball.. overall, not too impressive.

Good park to visit if you have a WELL TRAINED DOG...puppies can be too much energy for some of the DOG OWNERS...dogs will tolerate or verbally discipline.Owners are GENERALLY friendly...dogs most always welcoming.No grassy area but leaves and tree debris cover the area making it wonderful for dogs to run through. Well shaded. There is a water available but need to bring a water dish. Large fenced in area separated for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and larger dogs.Worth checking out...your dog will love it and youll meet new friends.

Great park where a dog can be a dog!

When I lived in Northport I would go to this dog park occasionally. It’s huge and the shade from the large oak trees is so nice in the summertime. There’s tons of squirrels for the dogs to chase and most owners pick up their dog poop which is pretty cool.

Its a nice park but needs work. The reason for the 3 stars is because the small dog park is quite small....about 1/3 the size of the large dog park side! The large park is well maintained, however the small dog park isnt at all. It reallly needs to have someone come in to level or grade the ground as its very rutted in areas and a liability. (For those who are disabled & use a cane, its dangerous.) Also, remove the disgusting wood chips thatre laid down. It causes dust, harbors pests, can give dogs splinters and hides holes, ruts etc which can cause an injury!!!

I brought my dog here and it was amazing open space and also having a small den for the small dogs great I recommend this to anyone with a dog.

Nice shady dog park with lots of places to sit and plenty of water spouts for the dogs. Theres also a nice trail to walk if youre looking for some exercise.

Lovely, shaded area. Small and big dog areas. Wooded, picnic benches, near by bathrooms and community center.

Better for big dogs although there is a small dog area. Can get dirty as big trees shade so grass doesnt always grow well. Lots of benches. County provides pick up bags . I like the North Port dog park better... its called Canine Club.

The little dog park is nice but there is little grass. The dirt is black and fine. So if your dog is all white he is grey after playing there. Worse its hard to wash out. Better to go to the beach Paw Park

If you like dogs and your dog likes dogs Woodmere is a great park. Usually a lot of dogs there all having fun. Plenty of room to roam, sniff or run and play with others.

The park is pretty clean of any waste. Most park users are very considerate about cleaning up after their dogs. Almost all watch the behavior of their dogs and are responsive to any issues. There is plenty of watering areas and it is a good size park to give the dogs a good run.

This is such a beautiful park BUT one bad thing spoils it for another! My dog is a puppy and loves to play. He came up to another dog sniffed him/her the dog went after my dog and the owner started SCREAMING at me in my face calling my dog aggressive. NEVER AGAIN

Completely fenced. Separate small and large dog enclosures. Partially wooded. Grass areas pretty sandy and a bit torn up, but overall an excellent and well maintained park. Waste bags and disposal cans provided.

Our dog loves this park. It gives him a chance to socialize and play with other dogs his size. Its a large park with plenty of places for the owners to sit, there are water and bowls for the dogs and its all fenced in for everyones safety. The park even supplies poop bags and trash cans! Love it!

People think it funny when two dogs want to fight. I saw two people drinking alcohol and didnt control there dogs. It is a place to leave your dog off leash, but dont let your dog stick there nose up another dog. The park needs supervise.

Well taken care of, clean, people are nice! Havent seen any bad behavior by dogs that wasnt instantly corrected.

Im a local and tried this park with my large dog were used to other parks. It seems that the people and dogs here are regulars, it was like being back in highschool and they had thier clicks. Didnt want to chat or even say hi. The oddest thing is after about 45 min they all started walking laps around the outside of the park, EVERYONE, all 40 or so people just walking around and around over and over. They didnt interact with thier pets, didnt encourage them to play, nothing. When I stopped playing with my dog and encouraged him to play with other pets a lady came up to me and told me I dont belong here because this is a quiet place for us and we dont know you. How odd and rude, I was shocked.
