Great venue space to be opened to public!Parking could be better. Vender space could be better (food and drink items).A great experience!

I have been to shark festival here several times. They have great info on sharks and shark teeth and other archeology items. They also have good food vendors and entertainment. It is fun festival

Nice day at the Bluegrass, BBQ with Chili-Cook Off Saturday on the airport grounds.

Its a large open field and runway that they hold large festivals on.

This is a great opportunity to pick up a wide variety of fossils, not only shark teeth, at reasonable prices. This is not to say that there isnt an abundance of shark teeth from one dollar up to hundreds of dollars for rare, beautiful specimens. There are many other vendors, lots of food, drink, and music all for a $5 adult admission charge with children under 12 free making it a fun family destination.

I took my son for the rotary art festival a few weeks ago and I highly recommend the area for any event held here. There was plenty of parking for those in cars, and a designated and clearly marked path for people in strollers and other pedestrians. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is the lack of shade. On a hot day, especially with a little guy it can get to be too much sun exposure but the space is large enough that there were food stands on one section, a live band, and then booths of local artists in a U shaped formation.

This is the site of the annual Suncoast BBQ & Bluegrass Festival, a wonderful event that benefits a local childrens charity. Its a nice venue - the usual big outdoor field, parking on the grass, etc. Nothing fancy - just what youd expect for an outdoor music event. Parking is not great, unless you have a handicapped permit, which my husband does. Then its not bad.

Not a fan of events at the airport. Always dusty and too hot, as you are walking on an old airstrip made of asphalt. Plenty of parking, but in the grass and hard to walk on...forget about it if you are on a Walker or wheel chair. With the construction in down town Venice, in the Island, I understand having to temporarily moving some events....but PLEASE move them all back once the roads are done!!

What a fun Italian experience. Lots of food booths with some excellent Italian food! We had great sausage and pepper subs and I tried the philly cheese steak. Also good.Fun and interesting for the whole family!

2019 chalk festival was amazing

It wasnt that good again this year. What happened to the big Italian fest? Very disappointed last year and this year.

Sat in traffic to get in, lines were very long and standing on the hot asphalt made it worse. After standing in line for food, drinks were at another tent. Lots of tables under tents where you could eat but many people just sitting to get out of the sun. Have been sitting for 55 minutes, as I’m writing this, without moving an inch to get out of the parking lot! Not worth the aggravation.

I always love the shark tooth festival! Awesome time! And not to hot this year! Nice breezy day! Food is good but pricey!Lots of crafts and wares from all over! Its nice to see so many vendors! Great fun area for the little peeps too!

Italian Festival was very disappointing. Upon entering the gate there was a booth with a sign stating, Italian Culture & Costoms etc. The booth had nothing to do with the sign. Rather, it was a place for the Italian Club of Venice to offer trips & tourism to Italy. The entire event was very poorly put together. Sadly, it did not match the advertising at all. It was more like a carnival with rides etc. Also, food vendors(2) on Italian side werent prepared upon the carnival opened. Whereas, all of the other vendors were prepared. We didnt want that. We thought we would see more Italian Booths. Furthermore, the Authentic Italian Bakery refused to give name of Baker, did not properly use gloves when handling food & the items tasted like a typical drug store item. Not at all impressed with the entire Italian Festival . Other than the above, there were lots of rides for kids.

Absolutely wonderful place. Definitely recommend checking this place out the next time you are in the area!

Great venues, all though Myron Mixon didnt show. He was an originator of the festival.Great music food and friends. Well organized. Twice as many people as last year.

The shark tooth festival held here is fun and quirky. Its a mixture of a flea market and community booths. You can make a lot of nice connections, especially if youre looking for a boat to go out fishing or scuba-diving.

BBQ Bash a real disappointment!!!!!Took forever to get in to parking area, and even longer to get out of the place, Boring, Vendors out of food, after waiting in long lines.No shaded areas anywhere.Even to eat, or try to enjoy the music. A total waste of time, not to mention, a miserable time.Will not ever return, unless Venice fixes all of the issues.Which I dont think they will.

Venice is a great little town. Lots of nice people here.

A very good time was had at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds. Easy access in and out of the Airport for the Brew-B-Que and Blues Festival. Very relaxed atmosphere helped make for a fun time. With ample parking and plenty of port-a-johns along with friendly volunteers makes for a good time for all. If you are looking for a relaxed good time you should attend an event.

Went to sharkstooth festival. Great time!

Went to the BBQ thing they had. It was okay. Free, so that was good. Had live music was nice. Free bouncy castles for the kids. Prices werent too outrageous, but the 2 vendors I went to could have done something different to keep their food hotter. If you are local within 50 miles, I would say go. But over 50 miles, I wouldnt do it

Sharks Tooth Festival was great. Worth going. It benefits Special Olympics

Went for the Italian Festival... parking was well organized and they had a handicapped parking section. The event itself was fun, activities were as expected from a small carnival...rides for all ages and lots of food stalls. Worth checking out for sure. One caution is a ride operator didnt check my sons height so be sure to check before you go on each ride.

Very organized team for parking. Easy in and out and the Shark Tooth Festival was fun.

It is a great open space for many community events... but needs some basic improvements... access road is awful and the lack of shade on hot days is extremely uncomfortable...I appreciate all the volunteers that support many of the low budget events... but surely we can fix some of these concernes to make this community resource for the greater Venice area.

Attended the festival there this year. Good music and atmosphere for all ages. My little granddaughter and I danced... Great memories.

So much Fun! The food was great, the Blues Brothers Band so much fun, worth a visit!

Great place for a festival. Plenty of space not only for the festival, but lots of parking for cars and the pedestrian and bike entrance is just south of the Curcus Bridge on the Venetian Waterway path.

Had so much fun with my family at this festival cant wait to go to another one

10th yr bbq bluegrass festival. Great groups.. BUT getting in took 15 min. To park. Leaving..in car at 4pm. Line till out of field was 4 35. 35 min to get out of lot big boggle. And it wasnt the rush at end to get out at 6.

Our 4th year. As before, the bands, logistics, sound engineer and venue were all very good.The heat was worse than ever. At our ages, Im not sure well be back. There has to be some way to provide some shade -- change admission if necessary to cover that cost.

Outstanding locale that is the host of many events and festivals annually. Plenty of parking and controlled access. Each event is responsible for its own set up and operation.

I like Venice but the BBQ festival was not good. Food was ok. Prices to high for the quality of the food. The parking was awful. Stuck in traffic for an hour trying to leave. I dont think I will be going back.

Great time at BBQ & Blues. Convenient location with easy access. Can get a bit hot with no shade but good otherwise.

The Italian Fest wasnt as good as the past few years. They only had a few booths there and my fiancee was dissappointed because there werent any Italian patches for sale. We were both dissappointed.

Went to the Sharktooth festival. Lots of misc. vendors of everything you can think of. Plenty of fossil, mineral and sharktooth vendors. Good bands all day.

I was very dissappointed in how many booths they had. A few years ago they had a booth that you could purchase patches. My boyfriend was bummed out he couldnt buy a patch for his leather vest.

No traffic control, takes 45 min to get in and 1.5 hrs to get out. This is 3 hrs after bbq bash started

Horrible. Long lines for food and we came at 4pm to avoid the lunch crowd. Took an hour to exit.

Just like any other fair, but this one had sharks teeth.

The Italian feast and carnival was great this year.

Two and a half hours waiting for luggage. Because they had to stop unloading are luggage for another plane to come up and then we got put on last instead of getting our luggage before the other planes. so our whole plane sat there and watched everybody for 2 and 1/2 hours after us get their luggage from 8 different planes before they gave us are luggage.

Nice place but the food was nasty, make sure you eat before going there
