Nice park, good for younger children.

This cute little park is within walking distance for us. While the playground may not be the biggest around it has everything my toddler needs to have a fun time. It has swings, some slides, some stuff to climb and a see-saw and a spinning thing. We have great fun here.

Not how I used to to remember it. There was broken glass at the picnic tables, and Im pretty sure a drug deal was going on. I remember as a child that park was amazing, we used to fly kites. Now the grass barely gets mowed and the construction project there a while back was really all for nothing.

Really wish they would not have ripped out the basketball court and would FINALLY put some bathrooms in, even a port-a-john would be nice! Park has only been here for 30 years!

Good large open space for local kids to play... clean area but lacks some regular maintenance? The basketball court has been removed and no bathroom around?Seems to be mostly used to walk dogs around a good long open pathway.

Good, but need more attention

I grew up going to challenger park very small but if you want some alone time thats a good place to go and many of the pictures are not accurate of this park there is no water nearby or pool basically the park has a big area to walk I volleyball court thats sand a basketball court and the few benches and the small playground but like I said during season its one place to go that is that at least not flooded with pail skined terrible driving old Yankees

Its a nice park for the kids in the south Venice neighborhood its safe and well maintained thanks to the residents near there and of course the Sarasota county sheriffs department.

Well maintained park. Great for young children. Has a basketball court as well.

All the equipment heats up with the sun

Small park, very little playground equipment. There are no bathrooms. A basketball court that is in need of repair, a new dirt walking path surrounds the unmowed baseball diamond. Picnic tables covered in name carvings and the occasional wasps nest. This is a small town suburban park, mostly for people with dogs and young kids who live close during the day and delinquents at night. So many memories made at this park.
