Great but the trails can flood
Love this little park, always lots of tortoise here so ALWAYS be careful driving through the tiny parking lot!
This is a beautiful preserve that has a lot of trails that tend to go around. You can even use it as a shortcut to get to the bridge to go on the beach. A lot of the plants in the preserve are tropical, and it can feel like youre in a field in a jungle. Theres some wildlife, like tortoises and lizards. Theres private property in the middle of the field and the house is a bit of an eyesore. If you plan to go make sure to bring bug spray! In spring youll get surrounded by gnats and mosquitoes if you arent careful.
Over grown. And confusing even with the map. Lasted about half an hour. Possibly went to the wrong area.
Beautiful ️
Feels like youre getting lost in Jurassic times with ferns all around many parts of the paths. Lots of diverging paths to choose from, so be sure to pick up a map at the stand before adventuring onward.
Watch your step, Turtles abound in this preserve.
I went on a hike in the preserve led by a member of the Native Plant Society. We saw quite a few wildflowers. Unfortunately it was raining and most of the trails were flooded.
Awesome
Beautiful place
Loved it
Tranquil quiet getaway
Hiking trails were ok, but not a lot to look at.
