Great park before the beach and beautiful view down on beach. Fields are huge and plenty of parking...very nice area for many different occasions. Kids had a great time next time will bring spotty boy with us

Small beach, popular in summertime with locals. Has open soccer fields nearby with a play ground, basketball courts, and tennis courts.

Its nice to bring little kids because its the bay not the ocean. Its just not so clean. There are cigarettes and some stuff in the sand. They could keep it cleaner by having it cleaned.

Cozy & quiet beach on the bay away from the crazy ocean beach season. Went on a Friday afternoon and it was $7 per person. Age 62 and older can buy a lifetime beach pass for Shelter Cove and Ortley beach for $15.There were 2 volleyball nets set up, a parking lot, and convenient bathroom on site which I didnt use so I cannot describe it. There is not a concession stand on site so you will need to bring snacks and drinks, unless you drive out to the highway for lunch and go back.Mostly women with small children, but very well behaved. The swim area is roped off and there is a lifeguard on duty until 5.Its definitely a great place to relax by the water without the craziness of the ocean beach crowds and traffic.

I go there Monday - Friday to have an early lunch rain or shine. Love looking at the bay rain or shine.

7 bucks during the week 8 bucks holidays and weekends, Bayside beach mostly older people and people with young kids I like this beach. My only issue is some days the bitting fly can be a little much. Its not all the time so bring some skin so soft.

Great place if you dont like getting knocked around by big waves. Great place if you like getting stung by jellyfish. Two people got stung. Great lifeguard! She was helpfull with giving me vinegar to spray on my leg, where I got stung.

What can I say about a place I have memories with for over 50 years? Watching it grow from a little beach with locals to a place where all can come and enjoy what the shore offers without all the traffic!

Lovely place to walk

We enjoyed the beach here today. Its wading water and if you come with little ones, I highly recommend floaties!! Theres a playground in the sand and bathrooms on site as well. Parking was free (the beach was too! But I dont know if this is all year or just the off season). Its a little beach, perfect for families with little ones. Bring toys, blanket, and enjoy!

It is peaceful there with a little crab friends too lol . Everyone is nice.

Small beach with bath pavilion and outside rinsing shower. Play ground. Board walk half way down to water. Large parking lot. Area connected to soccer fields baseball tennis basketball. Easy access for large vehicles. Tiny waves if any. Great for little ones.

Well maintained softball fields, however there are several lights out. Caused us to move to other field in the middle of our game. Restrooms need better maintenance/cleaning & renovation.

Great private beach. Four stars only because I was getting attacked by bugs for a third of the time. Lifeguards on duty in the summer until 5 oclock. Pretty clean beach area. Showers and bathrooms behind the beach before you walk down. Overall fun experience.

Nice park along the water. They have a beach area with life guards during swimming season. Soccer and baseball fields are in good shape but the playground seems to be a little dated.

Very quiet, clean beach itself but water is slightly dirtier then the ocean as to be expected. Showers to rinse off outside, bathrooms and small play area for kids.

I went there with my son and grandson on day, later in the day..it was peaceful and empty..but that was before the official season started

Decent park with a small bay beach and bathroom facilties.

Facilities are lacking, but the basketball courts and baseball fields are well maintained and in good conditional. It occassionally gets very windy here, from the lack of trees and the large fields.

Needs a foursquare court. Other than that, its a big park with lots of fields and courts.
