My childhood memories, seeing the lights of the boardwalk when I was a child at night driving over that bridge with my parents just an unbelievable experience for me, still to this day . An now i live here. The Jersey Shore the way life should be.

Just have to say I have always had a fascination with bridges. When I was there the drawbridge was up. So I got the full experience Loved it.

Maybe its not the bridge so much as where it is. At middle age I still get the same thrill going over the eastbound span as I did as a kid heading to Seaside with my parents. Its a fairly long span, always a nice view of the water and surroundings if you take a moment to notice.

We got to see the drawbridge go up when we went over.

This bridge does it best to run smoothly with the amount of traffic it gets on the weekends and all the work theyve put into it. On the brighter side, the view is gorgeous, you have the bay on one side and the ocean on the other and the houses are BREATHTAKING.

I remember the wooden Bridge. Its was better then the Mathis bridge And I didnt take years to fix it it should have been torn down and replaced it would have been cheaper

This is the movable bridge which is under construction and Im proud to be connected in the bridge rehabilitation project. Hopefully, after bridge will be fully functional without any interruption from this summer.

Always seems to be under some kind of repair / construction. During winter, eastbound bridge is closed and traffic is diverted onto westbound bridge, single lane, often congested.
