Derek was super fun and set up a really great game for our group. He showed us the proper form and grandma even mastered it! 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to come back.

We had a great time! Nicholette taught us how to throw and helped us get better. She taught us some awesome trick shots and games and we had a great time! The facility was clean and the space was great.

Tonight we went axe throwing for the first time with friends from out of town and had an absolute blast. Abbi (with an I) was the best coach and explained everything to make us feel comfortable. The games were great for us because we are too competitive for our own good and it definitely showed. Abbi made our time at Hotshots worth it and we will definitely be back to visit.

I have never been axe throwing before. Nicollette was our coach and she taught us new comers really well. I was able to hit the target fairly accurately. One of my group was struggling and she was able to assess the throwers position and technique and offer advice for improvement. I would definitely suggest this as a date or a group outing. I will definitely be back and cant wait to try some different games!

This place was UH-MAZING. Decorated with so much detail. We came for a last minute birthday outing/celebration. We were able to walk up and start playing! DON’T FORGET YOUR CLOSED TOE SHOES - I did but they had rentals! Ian was an amazing instructor, taught us some tricks. He was an arm length away if we had any questions! Definitely plan on returning.. and it’s BYOB!

Ian, Justin and the team at Hotshots were great! I brought my management team for a team building event. It was all of our first time throwing axes and a great experience learning something new. They made it very calming and were thorough teaching us how to throw. A great environment and convenient setting for a group. We were able to bring our own food and drinks. My Wife took me to Hot Shots for my birthday. I was skeptical at first and didn’t think I was going to have much fun. I was completely wrong. Ian, the manager, greeted us, signed us in and explained the rules/techniques clearly. He showed us how to properly hold and throw an axe. Literally had a blast and time went by too fast. I was so impressed I even bought one of their hats. We will definitely be going back!! Thanks Ian!!!

Prices are very unclear and the booking process was not easy at all. I was trying to use a discount code and the coach Tyler kept saying there was nothing he could do to help me.Once there is was an okay facility but one of the female coaches made an overly flirty comment to a person in my party. Overall, it was a bad experience for the expensive price. I would recommend avoiding this location for axe throwing.

We were looking for something to do safely as a family. Hotshots has taken all the precautions during this pandemic. There was one other couple in the place, but we were placed far away from each other. Everyone wore masks and all surfaces were disinfected (including the axe handles). Colton was our axe coach, he was excellent! He taught us various axe throwing techniques and was very encouraging even if the axe didnt hit the mark. We really enjoyed our family time. Nice way to get exercise, laugh as a family and get a little stress relieved. We will definitely be back!

We went in a group of 6 last night and man, that was the most fun Ive had on a night out in so long (thanks Corona). Abbi was super super helpful, informative and so so so kind. We had one guy in our group that just couldnt get the axe to stick, and she helped him get it down. My boyfriend and I will DEFINITELY be going back for a date night soon. 12/10, will absolutely do it again and again and again

Went on a date night with my boyfriend and had a FANTASTIC time. Nicolette was an amazing trainer, and definitely made it a lot of fun. Will definitely be going back and bringing friends, as it was overall a great experience. And the fact that it is bring your own alcohol!!! 10/10

Wow! We had such an Axe-cellent time. This was our first time axe throwing and Isabelle (our host) made us so comfortable. I really appreciate her attention to my 11 year old daughter. My daughter was terrified and didn’t want to throw and Isabelle took the time to make sure we all understand how to throw safely and gave us great direction to help us improve our throw!The establishment is really clean and all of the staff was nice and helpful! We will be going back :)

First time Axe throwing and it was so much fun!!! We havent had a date night in forever so we thought we would try something new. Our throw instructor was Abbi and she was amazing!! She had great music playing. She should us the two handed throw and we played two games that showed us. And once I got tired she stepped up and taught my girlfriend a couple different ways to throw. We were the last appointment of the night and she did not rush us or try to cut our time short like some places do. We will definitely be back. It was a great stress reliever!!

This is a great experience for a date or small group. I had never done anything like this before, but had found a groupon and thought it would be fun and was not disappointed. The manager was extremely friendly and showed up different games and techniques for throwing the ax and the hour and a half there flew by! If you are in Phoenix, this place is worth the drive no matter where you are in the valley.

My girls and I had an amazing time at Hot Shots Axe Throwing! Such a unique girls night out! Leading up to the day of the event, Ian provided amazing customer service every step of the way. He took the time to accommodate every request or revision I had without hesitation. Upon arrival he coached my group on how to properly throw the axes and explained various safety precautions. In addition, Axe Coach Isabel also assisted us with modified forms and various games to play. Both team members were so amazing, patient and welcoming. I will definitely be back to throw more sharp objects.

Wow what a great experience! The staff gave great customer service over the phone prior to my visit. They guided me through booking targets and were happy to make changes. Once we got there Ian got us all trained on technique and safety. We were doing okay on our own but once one of the coaches Isabel came to help us with technique we got much better. She taught us how to play games and kept score. It really added to the experience! This is a great idea for a girls night or even a date! Thanks Ian, Isabel and everyone at Hot Shots!

Carson was great!We had a party of 7 ranging in ages from 18 to mid 60s and he taught us all with patience until we all were confident and having an awesome time.Building was clean. Including hand sanitizer and a bathroom to wash up.Check in was seamless. There were soft drinks and water to purchase.All around a great trip.

The staff here were so awesome! Alex was especially great! She was super helpful and welcoming for a group of us that have never done anything like this before. We actually came for the ajoining escape rooms but both experiences left a lasting impression. Will definitely be returning soon.

I brought a group of 4 people here. Ian did a fantastic job explaining how to throw and the safety procedures. The throwing room is very clean and is full of excitement and energy. Fantastic time! All member of my group loved it and they said they would definitely go again. I would recommend it to anybody especially those looking for a fun date night in the Tempe area.

First time axe throwing ... SO MUCH FUN! We’ve been here to the escape rooms (Alcatraz, also awesome) before but had a chance to spend New Years Eve in the new Hotshots Axe Throwing. Huge space, 7 different throwing lanes and a great time for all of us. We had all people here of all ages from older kids all the way up to grandparents and everyone had a great time.Excited to get a time scheduled to bring my wife’s whole family back for another night.

The staff was super down to earth and friendly! This is a fun hang out spot if youre looking for something different to do. Colton was especially helpful, giving me pointers and being very patient even though I was terrible! Lol

First time ever throwing axes (in a controlled environment anyway). Lee did a great job showing me the ins and outs of axe throwing! I did not try but they also have 3 escape rooms. Bringing your own food and adult drink is allowed! Great venue for business team-building. Tons of fun, so give them a try.

I had an absolutely awesome time as owner Ean taught me some technicalities on how to throw axes and hatchets. He was patient and made my experience very fun. It was an absolutely great time and good upper body workout. A group of us stumbled upon Hotshots Axe Throwing after an escape room experience in the same building. We had a great time! The Hotshots owner was extremely nice, welcoming, and accommodating. Our coach, Alexis, was awesome! She was incredibly patient, energetic, and she really dissected my shot to figure out what I needed to adjust in order to get a bullseye. We would definitely recommend the experience and would gladly return.
