My group had an awesome time doing the Spellbound room. Its quite difficult, needless to say we didnt finish lol but all in all we did a good job and had fun. Tyler was a great host, very encouraging and easy going! We will definitely be back for axe throwing and more escape rooming

Went here for a team building with the people from work. This was the first time most if not all of us did axe throwing. I must say it was a very fun experience and wouldnt mind going back a few more times. S/O to our instructor (Taylor) I hope I got that right. But he was an excellent instructor and really nice! Thank for a fun exciting day! Really not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon!

Candice did a great job at handling such a large group of us, during these times its difficult to find events the entire family can do together- this was an absolutely epic event! Rooms are so detailed, one of the best weve been to.

Our group of 4 did Spellbound and did not finish, HOWEVER it was very fun and Candace our game master was very helpful and made our experience very entertaining and fun.The room is very nicely themed and the puzzles are very tailored to the theme. We do a lot of escape rooms so this room doesnt have your typical combo locks and puzzles so thats something to think about when choosing!As far as the Ax Throwing complaints listed...there was an axe throwing group during our game and yes, you can hear the ax throwing but we didnt find it disruptive. If anything it enhanced the eerie aspect of the room. And Candace was very much willing to settle the group down if we needed. Which we didnt! All in all, we would do another escape room through this company!! Thank you for the experience Candace!

This place was absolutely amazing it was a structured adult gaming atmosphere and a great workout and actual release .I recommend that everyone go here at least once

My date and I had a BLAST at Class Axe. It was the first time either of us tried Axe throwing and we felt welcomed and comfortable. Josh (aka The Hobbit) who was our host/guide for the 90 min. period was phenomenal! He was funny, friendly, encouraging and helped you out if you needed tips or direction. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun activity or date night. Also, it is bring you own drinks. Next time I would bring some water or something to drink. I will absolutely come back to Class Axe.

We did the axe throwing with our group of 10, we had the lane all to ourselves, and it was great fun! Even people who thought they could never throw an axe managed to land some good ones, and the cheers were very rewarding. Great way to come out of your comfort zone in a safe environment. They were very safety conscious. Chris is a very good coach and games leader. Also the registration process was very easy and all the staff were friendly. Considering comparable activities, the group pricing was excellent. Thanks Class Axe!

This was a birthday present for my husband and he loved it! His instructor was Chris who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. My husband, Roger, threw the ax almost for 1.5 hours straight. We were the only ones there because it was 3:00 PM on a Thursday and we had the place to ourselves. Chris explained all the safety rules before Roger started and also told us some amusing and informative stories about the sport of ax throwing. We had a great time. We will definitely be back!

Had so much fun! Our instructor (Hobbit) was an absolute riot. So sweet and informative, and truly made this class worth coming back for over and over again. He was quick to praise and guide every member of our group. We will definitely be bringing our family back soon!

This was great family fun! We took all of our kids (all over the age of 21). Staff (Candace), was thorough with rules, instruction on how to throw, explanation of the games, was patient, super funny and just plain entertaining! We loved that we were able to bring our own food and drinks (and enough to share with certain staff :o). Well worth the money paid and we got our solid 90 minutes of time in. We will definitely be back.

This was great fun and Hobbit was a great instructor. He took the time to make sure each person understood how to be their best. He was fun and enthusiastic. The reason for the 3 star is for how very crowded it was. We were a party of 7 and had to share our time and our experience with another family. Because of there being so many people on each range, each individual only gets a very limited number of throws. I know the company likely wants to max out each range for the $$$ but the customer experience is lessened and not as fun as it could have been. I am really glad we did it, but wouldnt do it again because of the limited throws per person for the cost. If we could guarantee a lane for our party (at the same cost) I would have been a return customer.

This was my second time and I had just as much fun this time as the first time. This time around we had Sierra as our Axe Master and she was great. She was very knowledgeable and able to give instructions with humor. Myself and one other person in my group had been there before and we had one axe newbie. She made sure everyone knew the rules and had fun. I am looking forward to going back!

My husband and I did axe throwing on Valentine’s Day and had a blast! The games were really fun. I thought it would’ve been awkward at first but The Hobbit did a great job at mixing up the group and keeping everyone interactive. I highly recommend if you have never been axe throwing before. Make it a group event and BYOB for even more fun!

Second time at Class Axe was just as fun as the first. We were lucky enough to have Josh as an instructor again and as always, he makes the experience fun and exciting. If you havent been, grab your friends, family or whoever and get down there. You definitely wont be disappointed.

This was our first Escape Room experience, and it was fantastic. My wife and I love games but never thought about doing one until we had a day free in Phoenix between Christmas and New Years, and man was this a perfect way to start the afternoon. We are in our 30s and did it with her parents (late 50s and mid 60s respectively) and we all had a blast. We didnt solve all 5 questions but we came damn close and each riddle solved was very rewarding especially as things got tense in the last 5-10 minutes.Very high production values, a great bargain for the buck, especially if you use a Groupon like we did. Would highly recommend, and well probably make this an annual Christmas in Arizona tradition.

Christ and Dylan were amazing help. My girlfriend and I went, we loved it! We can’t wait to go back and the staff is super friendly and they help you every step of the way to make you feel comfortable and they have awesome games you can play. I would highly recommend and for sure go back!

I had a spectacular time.Tyler gave great directions, taught us well and continued to gave advice as we were throwing to help us improve.We had a lot of fun and laughs. Axe throwing in general was a great activity but this place made it even better. I will definitely be returning!!

This place is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate our two year anniversary. It was a bit nerve wracking at first because we were both new to axe throwing but Josh AKA The Hobbit was absolutely amazing. I mean, how awesome and authentic is it to have a real lumberjack teaching customers how to properly throw an axe. He was very detailed in his instruction but incredibly laid back. My boyfriend and I played tons of different games and the time just seemed to fly by. By far, one of the best dates you can go on and the guys there are awesome. Definitely worth every penny. Only regret is that I wish I carried more cash on me because Josh deserved a much bigger tip than I was able to give. Thanks again for the great time. You guys are awesome.

We have never been to an escape room and didnt know how much fun it was. We had an awesome time and Candice was such an amazing host, she had so much enthusiasm and you could tell that she truly enjoys her job. She will definitely be a reason that we will be returning again for the other room. We finished Terminal with 10 minutes to spare and didnt use any clues. We dare you to try to beat that! The axe throwing was fun as well, and you can BYOB.

Had a great time again! We had 8 people in our party and 4 others who joined us. Was a fun time by all. Chris was our instructor and he has such a great since of humor, he got right into our groups personality. My only suggestion would be to have 2 instructors with 12 people as it took a bit to get everyone up and throwing.

This was a really great experience overall. Although we were with strangers we all had fun. In addition, the games are a great idea because it adds fun.Tyler did a good job. The only thing we didn’t like is because we were the last to learn how to throw we didn’t get any extra practice like everyone else. We went straight into the games. It kinda made me feel like we had to hurry and practice to stay on time.

Our family had a great time, 2 adults and three teenagers. We didn’t really know what to expect and it was better than we imagined it would be. The competitive games after practice rounds was the best part. The instructors were outgoing and fun to be around. We would definitely go again!

Excellent experience. We did their Spellbound game with 3 total players, and it was a blast! Admittedly difficult at times (based on both complexity and lighting, as you’re given lanterns for light), but the game operators were friendly and very helpful.The absolute highlight of this place were the intricacies of room design. The mechanics (sensors of different varieties) were very impressive, and the lighting/ambience was a perfect setup.Though probably overpriced at base cost, it was absolutely worth it at the Groupon discounted rate, and I would definitely consider returning.

We did the Spellbound room tonight and it was a lot of fun. Great production value. The room and facilities were very clean and well maintained. Tyler, our game master, was lovely. Can’t wait to come back for another room!

My husband and I just recently went Axe throwing for News Eve. We had a WONDERFUL time!! As first timers we didnt know what to expect. But Chris our host was so much fun! He gave us direction and pointers when needed made it a great experience for all of us. We will definitely go back.

We had a really good time. The group games were awesome and really made the experience more than just throwing axes. The initial warm up practice time could have been shortened up quite a bit though. It did get a little crammed with so many people in the room at a time but overall we had a good time

Sierra made our first time axe throwing super awesome! She was hilarious and patient when teaching. The games made the experience even better and at the end the winner gets crowned the “Lumberlord”. I would highly recommend this place!! Great hang out with friends or for a date.

I did the axe throwing with my boyfriend this past Saturday and it was a lot more fun than I expected. The “Hobbit” was our lumberjack guide for our experience and I would highly recommend you go Saturday because he makes a big difference in how enjoyable the experience is. Totally safe and never once felt uncomfortable or in danger. You won’t regret trying this out :)

Went here twice and loved it both times. I would say its definitely better to bring a party of people on the smaller side. Staff is very friendly and the escape room puzzles really interesting. The stories that go with the room are really engaging. Highly recommend.

Had a great time axe throwing with my sons and father in law. Tyler was great he made it fun. He also took the time to coach a lady from our group who was having a hard time throwing the axes. He went far and beyond to show us a good time. I would do this again.

Had an escape room birthday party. Candice was helpful as we got stuck a few times but we made it out with a few minutes to spare. The game was well thought out and the puzzles flowed well into each other. Highly recommend.

It was super fun throwing axes and Hobbit made it very entertaining! They split everyone into groups of ~10 and provided games and competition. We were only 2 people and some of the other group members were bothersome so it took away from our fun a little. They allow other people in to watch which makes it pretty crowded too. I would definitely do it again but on a less busy day!

We visited as a family and did an escape room (the vampire themed one) - and it was an absolute blast!We plan on going back as soon as we can, that was amazing. The staff was extra friendly, the space was awesome and the experience was one that everyone who visits Phoenix should have!If you havent visited this location, you should! If you have, then you surely will be going again.

This was my 14th escape room i believe. My group and I did the witch and vampire themed room. The room was decorated amazing. The noise from the Axe throwing was so loud that i couldnt concentrate at all and it completely pulled me out of the immersion of the escape room. The entire hour was people screaming at the top of their lungs and the constant thuds of the axes hitting the walls.This room was also very dark. There are two lights to use for the entire group of 8 people that we had. The second light was out of batteries. Instead of game master getting us new batteries, he just let us struggle with one working light for 8 people. This made it extremely challenging for anyone to see any of the puzzles we were working with.This was also hands down the most expensive experience anyone in my group had ever seen. I would have expected a way way better experience.From someone who does a LOT of escape rooms.... do not go here. Its nearly impossible to have a proper escape room experience. There are too many escape rooms in AZ to consider overpaying for a terrible experience.

Josh/Da Hobbit is the bomb. Loud enough to be heard and fun enough to make it enjoyable for everyone. Multiple games played with variations on how to win make it different each time. Woody won and here’s his stamp to prove it.

Decided something different for date night and chose axe throwing. What an amazing time! Dylan was our instructor and hilarious as hell. Definitely made our experience that much better. Would definitely recommend and go back. Happy axe throwing!

I went into this experience with no real idea of what to expect (aside from throwing axes of course). What I got out of it was so much more! I had such a great time, it’s much harder than it looks but Hobbit was a great host always there with tips and guidance to help you. The games were very fun and easy to follow, I can’t wait to come back (this time with booze since it’s BYO!) and a big group of friends!

Had a great girls night out! Booking was easy and they were more than accommodating when I needed to change the time. I would recommend the 9pm slot. Id also recommend if youre not a couple and youre going with a group of friends to have at least 5 people. Theyll split you up before the do the couples.Overall, I had a great time. The instructor kept everyone engaged. You get to meet some cool people too. Im definitely going back.

Axe-throwing was a blast! We had a great range instructor—Chris—and his energy and engagement made everyone feel comfortable and excited. There’s plenty of time for even a big group like our own (12 people) to enjoy ourselves with plenty of time in the range. Would definitely come again!

We did the spellbound escape room! Super good and great graphics. Receptionist was a tad monotone and we didnt get good pictures at the end . But overall very cool :) would do again

We did the Terminal Escape Room with our three teenage kids over the weekend, and everyone had a great time. The room was just hard enough to challenge everyone, but not frustratingly so. Well designed and well run. We managed to escape with just 10 seconds left on the clock.

Even though there were only 3 bays and they filled them with 12 of us, randomly, Josh was a fantastic MC and made the experience fun. Highly recommend if you have a larger group!

My husband & I never ever get date nights & I was lucky enough to find a 2 for 1 at Class Axe via Groupon. I had bought it months ago & had tried to plan it 2x before with no luck for kiddo watching (we have a 10.5yr old & an 8 month old so “life happens”). We finally were able to cash in our session & we were so stoked we did. It was soooooo much fun! So well ran, great games to play, serious about safety & an all around good time. The gal who ran it, I didn’t catch her name since we were 5min late (she has teal hair) but she was GREAT! She got everyone involved & was willing to really show you how to throw & correct you if your axe wouldn’t hit the wood. We will DEFINITELY be back & with a group next time.

I went with a group of 4 friends on a weekday and we had a blast! They were super accommodating and easy going. Nick was our instructor for the day and he was great, he had fun games for us to play and helped or form as the 90 minutes went on. We would come back and definitely recommend axe throwing with nick again!

I planned a Christmas get together for the staff of our church. We had 23 of us in attendance and it was a GREAT evening. The staff LOVED it! We had so much fun. Place was comfortable, plenty of space for all of us, great people assisted us in learning, each round, & were friendly and helpful.

Buyer Beware!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. They incorrectly charged me then stated they could not submit a refund to my account....how does that make any sense? I understand a no refund policy as it applies to cancellations, but when you incorrectly charge someone you should correct it...I will be contacting my bank for help!

This experience was SO much FUN! I had never thrown an axe before and with the great instruction and entertaining guidance, everyone in our group from age 16-60 was able to stick the target! Lots of laughter, definitely a must try!

We had a great time axe throwing! Pippi, our lumber guide was fun and an awesome host! We were a group of 6 and placed with another 6 people, and got a good amount of practice time before the competitive games began. Even though we were a group of strangers, everyone ended up bonding.There were about 36-40 people total in the room divided among 3 throwing areas, so it was more crowded than expected, but it ran smoothly. The 90 minutes went by fast. And, you can bring your own coolers with refreshments, although, I think the space would be pretty tight.Well definitely be back!

It was a great experience. Went with my girlfriends for Galentines. The set up was nice. Alot more detailed and intricate than other escape rooms weve been too. Our guide was so sweet. Wish I remembered her name. She was so helpful and made it a great experience.

We did class axe for date night and it was probably one of our best date nights we’ve had in a long time! The couple we were paired with was awesome, we played some competitive games, and it was definitely an experience! If you want something different- this is the place to go! We had a blast.

My group and myself were a little hesitant going in to this event, because like most people, we’ve never thrown an axe for fun. That being said, all doubt went out the window after getting fully introduced to the class by the awesome instructor! He made very fun and approachable for all members of our Group! One of the funniest parts of the experience is everyone creating their own Lumberjack name! Would 10/10 recommend for any group of friends or co-workers they want to have a good time and experience something new at the same time.

Used a groupon and the experience was great! Book a time to make sure there won’t be just one or two people or else it would be boring going through all the games. There was 4 of us and the games were fun and kept moving at a good pace so it was never boring.

This was definitely a fun experience and something new to try. We took our employees for a teambuilding outing, and everyone had fun. We had people ages 19-70. Everyone participated and had a great time. The oldest member of our group ended up being the best thrower! Thanks for an excellent experience!

We attempted The SpellBound room with 4 people. We really enjoyed the esthetics and setup of the room. The puzzles and clues were challenging in a good way. It wasn’t lock box heavy, which was a nice change of pace. The biggest drawback was the axe throwing in the room next door. There were times when we couldn’t hear each other over the axe throwing participants and couldn’t tell if something opened or an axe hit the wall.

Office outing was a success! The staff were friendly and energetic. The experience was great - will definitely be coming back again for some more fun.

We love escape rooms and heard great things about this place. We were so excited to try the witch one but the experience was the worst escape room weve had! The entire time we could hear yelling and pounding from the axe throwing side (its open ceilings). There was also several solved puzzles that we couldnt figure out what caused it. Very disappointed in our experience and wont be back for an escape room.

Who’d have thought throwing axes would be so fun! Our instructor, Aus was great! I was nervous at first, but I quickly felt right at home. You are grouped together with other parties, but everyone was so nice that it didn’t matter. After you learn the basics of throwing, and spend some time practicing, you’re divided into teams and you play various games. The whole experience was just really great. Definitely recommend!

Good fun! Knowledgeable instructors and a super fun time. Only reason for m.j ot 5 stars is the groups are you big. You pay a lot of money for 90 minutes. And you get to actually throw for like 20 tops.
