Cute little park that my kids loved playing at! Don’t miss out on the boardwalk down the path. We spotted a turtle!

The park itself is kind of pathetic, with broken equipment. But if you walk down the poorly marked trail, you will arrive at the most beautiful boardwalk that leads right onto Lake Tarpon. Its probably my favorite access spot on the lake. Definitely worth the short walk.

This park is in my neighborhood and Ive lived here since I was a kid and loved the park then. Since my childhood the park and board walk were burnt down by vandalists and since re built. I am only rating this park 3 stars because the board walk needs to be maintained, there has been a mound of mulch for 8 months that hasnt been spread, there no longer swings or a shaded cover over the playground so it gets really hot. Theres an ant invasion all over the playground so last time we went we had to leave quickly because he couldnt play on many areas of the playground. The bathrooms are now boarded up which is inconvenient with kids because you have to leave to use the bathroom. The bathrooms used to both be open and in working order and now the park is getting zero maintenance all in all yet city of tarpon springs employees sit there in their trucks for hours each day, not sure why or what theyre supposed to be doing. I can see the park from my front porch so Im always curious when they dont even get out of their trucks. Be aware of the spider webs on the board walk there are tons. But when the nats and mosquitoes arent too bad I live to watch the sunset on the boardwalk over lake tarpon!
