I mean, its a freakin pirate ship. It should be 6/5 stars.

Its a boat dock, where the Jose Gaspar is moored all year long. There is severely limited parking (for a fee) and the boat is roped off so kids and adults are not allowed to climb ob it. The Gaspar is used once a year for the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion when the legendary pirate of the same name sails into the harbor and captures the mayor.

What a crazy time I highly recommend we will definitely be there next year.

Oh wait, the mayor is already using that idea.......

Good view of the bay and the convention center. Good place to park to ride your bike or walk the Bayshore Blvd trail, or ride into downtown.

Fantastic time during Gasparilla. Well maintained crowd control. Ample porta-potties most of the time. It got cold this year with no refuge. Draught beer was also largely missing :(

Ya’ll people are crazy for the Gasparilla event! Hope cleanup after the 2020 event is a breeze, it seems like the party don’t stop and (but traffic sure does !!)

Gasparilla pirate ship dock if youre into pictures and taking selfies than thats a spot for you thats really not a whole lot there to do besides taking pictures of the ship and it is a nice very well kept up ship used for the Gasparilla parade and just a reminder theres no trespassing on the ship you can take pictures around it but you cant board it

An interesting spot along downtowns waterfront. However you cant enter the ship and there are no good angles to get good photos of it. It’s basically jus a swimming vessel and you don’t see much of a “pirate ship” here besides of being a sail boat. A lot of bird poop all over the ship as well. Only good thing is, parking is right in front of it and free at certain times, like on a Sunday.

I was volunteering at the Gasparilla race and I couldnt believe the view. Everything there was amazing and even if you arent volunteering its still an amazing place to go and watch the Sunrise/Sunset or just walk around. I recommend that everyone should go to this spot.

Cool spot to hangout. Best place to park if you need to jog in the bayshore boulevard.

This place is relaxing. The calm waves, and the ship makes you feel like youre in a diffrent place. At night time though, Its diffrent. Sometimes, you may need to stay away from the ship during the night because birds decide to nest there, and they drop a bomb that will splatter. Thats the only thing. Other than that, Its amazing.
