This is a pretty park with the water running in the warmer months. Its a good place to walk around and learn a little bit of the history of Springfield as well. Bass Pro isnt the only national startup from Springfield. Theres a plaque near here dedicated to another start up.
Great place to take your family. Plenty of space, open grass and picnic tables. Water area open in the summer, and theres a few pieces of playground equipment to use.
Jordan Valley Park is a great place to go with your kids. Theres a sense of community that we really like. Has a really cool fountain system. :) We are grateful that Springfield has so many great places for families to go and spend their time.
My wife and I went during their Festival of Lights display. It was beautiful, walking through & looking at the displays. The lights were synced with the music playing; flashing on & off with the beat. Very nice park that sits downtown across from Hammons Field; home of the Springfield Cardinals. Bathrooms are available here.
Its places like these that put my mind at ease on local taxes. My wife and I grabbed a pizza and sat on one of the stone benches in the middle of the rolling green hills. It was good to see a few families playing in the flowing water and fountains. The well kept grounds included unique play areas and even an interactive art piece (called K-Man). I enjoy each visit.
Very beautiful with all lighted up and music. My grandbabies enjoyed it.
I love this place so many beautiful green trees everywhere lots tables & benches & walking & or biking. Youre gonna love this place for any occasion. ️️️
My 16 year old autistic daughter is so enthusiastic about this beautiful park the flowing water fountains and the flowers are so wonderful and with the clean smell of chlorine I am not at worried about any bacterial problems. I love it too the water was such a perfect temperature cool enough for the heat and when the sun began to set it was warm and delightful. We spend hours and never get bored or tire of it, also the people are so nice its really an awesome friendly place for everyone.
Love it here its just one of those places you have to go to see for yourself its very nice & sometimes a good place to get away from everyone or not or just whatever you need to take a break for or from Google it I think youre gonna love it here ️️️
Its a good clean park with seating areas and an attraction for kids as well
We love to play at this big open grassy space. There is a nice water feature thats great for exploratory movement. Lots of hills to run up and stone benches to jump on. There is a small wagon play space but honestly we only really run around!
Great park love the water kids love it as well good way to cool off on a hot day and cheap
I love it here this place great. Everything is so green its just beautiful you really have to go here youre gonna love it as you can see from my photos I added below. Check out Jordan Valley Park Across from Hammons Field.
Pretty although I came when it got dark. A little play place pretty neat; its an old school bandwagon turned into a slide. Theyve also got a iron tin man thats huge
Beautiful park to take kids to, just make sure to bring swimming gear, 100% free to swim and they close at 11 so you could be there all day if you wanted to
Love Jordan Valley Park! Nice green open spaces and in the summer the fountains and creek are so fun to play in!
Its a terrific park for the family or a nice place to have a quite get away. It was definitely a good surprise in the middle of my day.
Just walked thru. Clean. Families were there playing
Nice park with a water feature for anyone who wants to splash around. Great place to hang out and enjoy.
Great place for the whole family. Lots of places for picnics and fun in the water
A place for high quality family time.
Awesome to get wet in fountains on hot day.
Said fountains were open busiest day in fact and got there to find out was not open at all
Amazing spot to play in the park, roll down hills, and play in the fountains. Tons of Pokemon Go spots too!
Great Park. I take a walk/run through there almost daily. Youll love it.
My kids love to go there in the summer to play in the water
Love Jordan Valley its a great place for the kids to have fun
The park is beautiful and fun for all ages. Our boys loved playing in the fountains and in the man made stream that runs down through the park. Lots of nice places to walk or sit and relax. Great place to have a picnic.
Water park, nice shade areas, beautiful!
It’s a very nice park the best park it is free. In the summer they have man made river that the kids like to play in. The river is quite impressive being decorative and being a place for children to play. Around Christmas they have a ton of lights they put up and are very nice and they “dance to the music”. They also do a tree lighting event with music and free ice skating right before thanksgiving.
It said it was opened and it’s not. Me and my family were looking forward to going and it wasn’t opened there was no water in it. That made my family unhappy.
Great park with a beautiful view, a beautiful fountain, and the coolest (what I can only imagine) outdoor classroom. Its a very modern and inovative park that isnt often seen in Springfield. I wish more parks in the area would follow in its footsteps.
One of the most relaxing, serene locations in Springfield. Once an industrial/business area in downtown, the land was re-formed into a natural grassy amphi-theatre with a sculpture park, walking trail and a modern waterfall plaza leading to a circular stage. Located between the multi rink Ice Park, The Creamery and Hammons Field this is a wonderful place to bring the family for a picnic or to just wander through the 12 acres on the tree lined walking trails.
Festival of lights were beautiful more like a Festivus of luminousity also loved swimming in the snow over the summer. Architecture of the park is very cool love the slabs.
This is an absolutely beautiful park with great energy near downtown. Parking is limited but available behind the ice park and on the hammons field side. Includes walking trails a great water park for the kids and even a small amphitheater. An absolute must see when the fountains are on especially at dusk and late night.
A lovely city park with rolling landscapes, beautifully manicured green space, and cleverly useful amenities. The wading pools, splash fountains, and recreational areas are well kept and a real treat in the midst of the downtown cityscape. The Jordan Valley Ice park is the cherry on top.
Its a small Park nestled in between the baseball stadium and Ice rink. Nice little homemade waterfall with Fountain spouts at the bottom where kids can play and enjoy the day.
Beautifully kept up
This place is so great for walks when it isnt 30 degrees
Great place. If you want to skate a lot yearly passes are available. They have great learn to skate programs that are priced well too. They also House a youth in house hockey program as well as adult leagues. All non checking. The Springfield Spirt youth travel hockey team practices and plays here as well as the Missouri State University Ice Bears. They have figure skating programs as well. Any Bears games can be found on the Bears website and are a great cheap night of action packed fun. Only during season of course. The only thing that could use improvement are a place to actually secure items while public skating and a more consistent schedule. Even during the summer when hockey season is non existent accept in house the stick and pucks, drop ins and public skates change all the time. Dont plan on having a set night to practice unless you are in a program.
This is a pretty nice park. The kids always love playing in the water here. There is several water areas of different types.
A great place to let your kids play in the fountain or just watch the water flow by in the heart of Springfield. Easy to get to but the parking isnt the greatest.
What a fun Urban experience.
Great atmosphere for both kids and adults! Beautiful park and walking trail.
Great place to take the kids. Just check where your kids are because a kitchen knife was found in the water last time I was there. Too bad that bad people exist.
Great place to have a birthday party for the young ones. They love it
A fine park. Clean. Not much to do but I like the fountain looking thing.
Clean fun park! I would at some point like them to add a play area for kids.
Fun place, kids love it! Plenty of place to sit if your not wanting to get wet. Kids will be soaked if playing @ splash pad!
Kids love to go here for their splash park. The hotter it is the more people. Usually gets busier between 10am-4pm.
Big park with lots of fun things to do. There is a big water stream/fountain type thing that brings a lot of fun during the warmer months. It is a great place for kids to go. There is a lot of open space and also at least one playground. The park is located downtown and has some historical value as well. They have many things to do to keep you entertained.
Great splash pad. Our kids played for hours in it. Perfect for hot summer days.
Great place to take the kiddos to play for free during the summer.
Well kept/clean trail for a family experience, they also allow dogs (must be on a leash).
Very pretty walk. Lots of trees. Gave it a 4 star because the park benches are in serious need of paint.
Had an awesome time with my family. The kids loved it
Kids always enjoy. Park is usually kept clean
Very pretty and well maintained public park.
Thats the place to go if you dont want to be in a pool definitely for kids definitely for family time I have to do that some ice cream and you have a perfect Sunday
Really great venue. Our entire family enjoyed the park.
Great place to take your kiddos.
My 5 year old daughter and I had the most wonderful day and we were able to make a play date out of it. She played with her little friend and I got to catch up with one of my favorite friends I hadnt seen in ions. Fun time by all. The water temperature was perfect and the sky and little overcast making it comfortable for all of us. Recommend sunscreen and sunglasses.
A great little park nestled in the downtown area. It has great fountains that are fun to play in during the summer, and is a great place to walk around or just relax.
Nice park! No real play equipment, so be ready to either play in the water or walk the trails
Free, out door activities with a beautiful view! Family friendly with fountains for all. I hope people with pets keep them away from the fountain since I have seen babies swim in there. Otherwise the kids love it and they run off excess energy while I read a book.
Nice, peaceful, atmosphere & great for the kids. Its a great place to go cool off when its hot.
My stepdaughter had a blast running around in the water fountain.
Love the fountain!! Such a wonderful free thing for the community!!
Nice space to hang; with toddlers to busk, better one to be alone or byself to think, dream and wonder.
It was great. My Granddaughters had a blast
Simple beautiful
Great fun fest at this park. Very nice atmosphere.
We love going there for the fountains and Snow Fest!
Great place to go with family.
Beautiful. Relaxing. You can splash in a fountain if you need to cool off. Its always been a beautiful and friendly place for me to chill.
Cool place. We did my daughters prom pics here.
Its nice for the kids and family get togethers
My kids love this place.
Neat place to take kids to play in the fountains
Very nice park though it is a shame there is some vandalism.
I dont know why I didnt take my kids sooner. So much fun!
Great place to take your kids for free fun!
Havent experienced it on the wi term time but in the summertime its a nice place to take your kids and cool off with the water fountain and moat I guess you can call it. Kids can swim and play in fountain. Even your toddlers would enjoy. Just make sure to wear water shoes or something, the loose stones can be a problem
Great place for the kids to play to escape the heat.
One of the best public parks I have been to.
This park is very quiet and peaceful. It has a little kids play area with water fountains where they can play. Its very beautiful. Its got picnic tables that are under a gazebo in the shade. Theres lots of trees. I didnt see any drinking fountains, however.
This park is small but a great place to go its quiet. Friendly great for a walk and pet friendly too. And good location for everything close.!!
I love taking the kids there to play in the water. Hate the parking and far away bathrooms that always seem to be locked.
