Best butterfly house Ive visited because the volunteers are right there to answer questions and point out where caterpillars, eggs and chrysalis are hiding and you see the whole life cycle even mating butterflies.

Its not just for kids! This place is always fantastic. We stopped in on Saturday, July 21st, and the ladies that were there were very knowledgeable about all the moths, butterflies, and caterpillars inside. I learn something every time I visit. It is free, but they have donation boxes set up. Its a neat place to see, but be quick when you open and close the door so the butterflies dont get out!

September 30th marks the close of the butterfly house each year. We got to see lots of tagged and released butterflies in the gardens adjacent to the butterfly house. It is a free exhibit but donations are much appreciated. A wonderful place to learn about Missouris native butterfly species.

Perfect for something free. The kids loved it too. We got to see a caterpillar make a cacoon. We just sat and watched the butterflies fly around us. They take donations for conservation efforts.

They were super friendly hosts and gave us a lot of information about the butterflies and showed us cocoons and explained everything. Such a great learning experience even if it is small. There were so many butterflies several different kinds and all maturities. They will land on you and lick you. So cute.

My young grandchildren received such a great education from the young man operating the Butterfly House. He was so knowledgable and showed the kids the catepillars and the different types of butterflies they become. Such a great jewel in the Queen City.
