Even though the theater was essentially empty we saw the staff constantly cleaning and wiping things down. Social distancing was easy as there were only 4 people in our theater.The recliner seats are amazing, with lots of space to walk through. Great theater.

Love this theater. We come here almost every time we are in Springfield. It has a good selection of snacks and drinks. The theaters are modern and comfortable. It is always very clean and the staff is super friendly

First time back since the Pandemic and it was Awesome to be back .. Saw Unhinged and it was an Awesome movie...

Since the remodel this is theater to visit in Springfield. Feet up anyone?

Love going to this theater! It is my favorite in Springfield area. I love being able to reserve my seats & have my concessions brought to my seat. Keeps me out of the crowds, which is invaluable to me! Staff have been so polite when they have broughf my items to me, as well! Fantastic experience overall!!

Really like the stubs card pretty awesome I could have my drinks and popcorn snacks Etc delivered to my chair.Fairly clean for a late show friendly service.

Only nice things was the new seats. The concession stand and where the drink dispenser are was very nasty. Soda spilled everywhere and trash all over by the stand. Told the lady at the stand that somebody had spilled soda everywhere all she said was, “we will get it when we have time.” It was literally just me in line for 20 minutes waiting for my movie to start and then only about 10 people in there. My popcorn tasted old and was cold. And my soda was flat. Will never visit this location again.

Saw ad for Little Women at AMC internet site today. So I drove over. Not today! I enjoyed Richard Jewell very much. It was well worth the $20 for popcorn, soda and ticket!

While the upgrades of new seats the concession area are fantastic and being able to purchase tickets online is a big help and avoids the line I wish that it wasnt so hot in the theater. Normally just sitting inside a theater I get a bit chilly. Last night I was physically sweating while sitting in the theater. Otherwise I would of given them a full 5 stars. The staff was friendly and helpful. The theater was clean. Fix the cooling issues and All will be golden.

Now the best theater in Springfield with the combination of the amazing staff, and wonderful facilities. Good movie times for students would be 3-5 where there are few people and empty theaters.

This place was recently renovated and WOW! This place has done a 180! You can reserve your seats and the seats are huge and comfy and they recline. It is truly a different type of experience. Imagine, buying tickets online, not waiting to see if you can sit together and then going and sitting down to your assigned seats moments before the movie with an entire group of 8! This is now possible at the AMC Springfield 8. Love it!

Best place in Springfield to watch a movie. Make sure you buy ahead of time for new or popular movies. This is a recliner style seating that are all assigned. So you choose your seat ahead of time. They have a bar, several options for food and one of those build your own soda machines. The picture and sound are great. Not spectacular, but the comfort of the theater offsets that. If you fall asleep easy during movies, then you probably will here. Its that comfortable. Saw some people bring blankets. Overall, definitely try this place first for a great movie experience.

The seats are super comfy and the sound set up isnt overly loud like a lot of theaters like to do. It made watching the joker a comfortable experience.

The seating is recliner style and super comfy. Prices are average for a theatre. Good quality sound and picture on thier screens.

AMC is amazing. Movie prices are still reasonable, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the reclining seats make movie watching enjoyable for my old bones.

Not that nice on the outside... But BEAUTIFUL on the inside. Nice renovated entrance with a full popcorn bar offering different types of popcorn and touch screen coke machines that offer whatever your heart desires. Cool theaters with reclining seats and a nice sized screen. The seats we had were set up into blocks of two with a removeable armrest in the center of them, good for couples but not if your stuffed next to a stranger. Everything in the theater was new and fresh, would come again.

Reserved and reclining seats. McGuffin bar and improved food menu make this theater a must see to the A Lister or Stubs card holder.

Best cinema in town as they serve beer and have electric powered comfy chairs which fold out like a la-z-boy.

Dirty, staff standing around, management runs the place like they have no competition and do not care much about the customers. The seats are nice, if they work. Spielberg should focus on making the theater experience better and less on Netflix if he wants people to go to the movies. The atmosphere here encourages you to stay home and wait for streaming release. Contacted corporate. They didnt care either

Its a nice clean theater. The recliner seats are very comfortable.

So comfortable and the employees are attentive, personable, and engaging. They are quick to fix anything that is wrong, like running out of paper towels in the bathroom, or someone having thrown up in the hallway and not reported it. If youre a regular, they remember your preferences. The reclining seating is pretty good, though I wish it had the new seats they show in the ads. :)

My 14 year son received a Stubs membership for Christmas. When we arrived at the theater we found out he had to have an ID. He is 14 and does not have one. The manager, Nathan, was very rude and showed no empathy towards the situation. So I paid for my kids to see the movie when someone had already paid $70 to see three movies a week for three months. When I went to get a drink they were going to wait on me but Nathen stepped in and told me they were closed. Very poor management and lack of professionalism.

Sticky floors, seats need better cleaning, otherwise a relaxing movie experience

The floors in this theater are off a little. I nearly fell 2 times. And the popcorn was horrible. Prices were outrageous. The only thing I liked here was the comfortable reclining chairs.

Very comfy recliner chairs, spacious. Drink holders on wrong side so if sharing have to have partner reach it for you or reach across them..if youre left handed its more convenient. Popcorn fresh. Theater clean.

Good location made even better with the edition of reclining seats. Typical AMC. Had a good time with the family. The temperature was PERFECT inside, no need for a blanket.

My favorite place to see a movie in town. Electric reclining seats are great to kick back and enjoy the film in. Assigned seating lets know exactly where youre sitting. With coffee and drinks available at the concessions area, its an excellent time. We usually buy tickets through the ATOM app, making it all even easier.Early matinee prices are really low, especially if youre taking a big group.

Love the rework on the chairs and bars. But these theatres are always filled with disrespectful kids and teens that yell and talk through entire movies. On multiple occasions I have walked out and snagged a worker, for them to do nothing about it.

Love this theater. The stadium seating is so comfortable. I also love that its assigned seating so you dont have to worry about where you will be sitting after youve purchased your tickets.

I recommend ordering food online before your Showtime. They bring it to your seat at the time you ask. And it was really good. Recommend the mozzarella sticks. Mmmmmm

The Theatre itself very nice, clean and friendly. The movie it sucked.

Great service, nice environment. If you order online and pay the convenience fees, an $8 and a $2 respectively, you can skip the line at the box office and they will bring your snacks to you in the theater.

Its was very dirty bathrooms looked like a gas station floors was dirty popcorn everywhere. I thought after every showing of a movie, the floors fet cleaned up. It was trash all on the floor. Soda all over the drink station. It was a mess an no one was working to take care of anything

The outside is a bit shabby. When I first past buy I thought it was shut down. But the inside is nice. And its the only one in town with reserved seating and snack delivery that I know of.

Absolutely love the reserve seating. Very nice reclining seats. The new bar is a great addition as well. Honestly the changes made to this location makes it better than the 12 screen theater on the other side of town.

Liked the recliner seats, and the food service staff helped us save money on food. Kudos to them for doing this. Beyond that, it was not a good experience. Main bathroom was absolutely disgusting and unusable. Theater was very dirty as well. Felt like i needed a shower the moment i walked out of there. Will probably just go to Lincoln theater in the future, or to Ovation in Bloomington if we want full service experience.

Apparently the AMC Stubs priority line isnt a priority as my family and I were passed up multiple times for service at the concession stand. There were other problems as well, I did not get my free upgrade on my drinks like I should have gotten. Was told that I would have to buy a regular sized cup for my 4 year old because they didnt have kids size cups, but apparently they have kids size cup lids so how are you gonna have no kids cups but kids lids??? Got charged full price for those. The service could have been much better overall. I for one, will not be going back to this theater.

Its a very updated movie theater... Aside of popcorn, it has pizza, chicken tenders, etcetera. They also serve liquor and have reclining chairs. Most of the workers are nice and actually helpful... Id recommend it.

Amazing seating, great service, fantastic theater!

Went here for the first time. The theatre seats are nice. My complaint is they do not keep the concessions open until the end of the movie. They didn’t tell us they were closing. When we wanted refills, they were closed. The bathroom was also messy. No toilet paper or paper towels. I don’t complain much and won’t give them a low star rating because I don’t believe in hurting businesses. I think they need to work on these things since people are paying for a different experience at these types of theatres. I also forgot to mention that there were people in our assigned seats. It wasn’t a big deal because the theatre wasn’t full, but we would have been irritated if it was.

New recliner seats But...refreshment staff incompetent. Asked about popcorn/drink combo & she pointed to the menu. Asked for a manager as I was struggling to get what I wanted. Manager had to “take this box & put away, be back in a minute”AMC Get it together. Pricey for bad service. We left. Will try another theatre next time

Great popcorn comfortable chairs and a good movie all good

Getting the ticket was quick, seats were nice, and the theater was clean. Would be a five star rating but 25 minutes of advertisement after labeled start time of 6pm on a movie that was only 90 minutes long is ridiculous. And there was something stuck to the screen, granted it was tiny and didnt really obstruct the movie.

I found the theater very comfortable and clean. VERY LOUD!!! I had to watch the movie with my fingers in my ears. The sound was so loud it hurt. They really need to turn the volume down.

The new updates are amazing. the seats are so comfortable and less crowded. You might want to take a wet wipe if they forget to wipe off the are rests. they can be greasy from popcorn.

Movie was great! Theatre is very clean and has great service at food counter. Only concern was the other movie goers...couldnt stop talking, using their phones, and moving around the theatre! Had to move to another row so could actually watch the movie!

The mere fact that you can buy alcohol at this theater is a major plus in my book. However, I use a wheelchair, which means the new seats and other amenities in the theater itself were lost on me. The people who went with me said everything was comfortable, but they also told me that the seats were not that much more comfortable than those in other theaters. The overall movie-watching experience was good but not thrilling. I will still probably go to a theater closer to me the next time I see a movie.

Two words. COMFY. SEATS.

Nothing like being in your recliner with a cool drink and watching on the big screen with great sound. Its also nice to prepay and have an assigned seat of your choice.The downside is a lobby and concession area unprepared for the needs of eager customers. Pay top dollar for soft drink only to have 2 machines to handle dozens waiting and no ice! Hallways strewn with popcorn and no-one making any effort to clear things up.

The ticket person was rude and didnt tell us what theater we were in

I somewhat like the way its changed. There are recliners in place of the old seats. More room for people to get by in the rows so you you dont have to twist to the side for people to get by. Not so crazy about the seating chart though. When we arrived there was only a few people, but we had to sit in our numbered seat. I preferred when you just entered and picked a spot. The late people got what was left. The movie was slated for 6:50 and it was 7:15 or so when they finally started. We arrived 6:45.

Clean theater, clean concession area and comfortable reclining seats. Would love for the ac in the theater to be the same if not cooler then the concessions area. Also the theater 2 had a stale sweat locker scent. Maybe time to clean the carpets?

Huge change since their remodel. Wonderful reclining seats and plenty of legroom. This will now be my preferred theater over Showplace12.
